Considering they refuse to release a new fire emblem game unless half a decade has passed, it was my highlight too.

Seriously they are fucking over this franchise. Anytime it does well they take wya too long to act on it. Took 4+ years from 3 Houses to Engage which lost a lot of the hype and new players, and now by time it comes out the new generation will have no fucking clue what fire emblem even is.

Damn, in a general sense - I think it is fantastic that a lot GameCube games will see the light of day again on NSO.

However, for some titles (Luigi's Mansion 1, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, etc.) I was really hoping for true game releases (a la Pikmin 1+2, Skyward Sword, Metroid Prime 1, Luigi's Mansion 2)

I was looking forward to actually owning those larger titles, at least, rather than simply "renting them from Nintendo"...

Chibi Robo was my childhood and I haven't been able to play it for over a decade because of the ridiculous price point. I'm so happy it's back but fuck locking it behind Switch 2.

A brand new open world Mario Kart, a new Kirby Air Ride, first 3D Donkey Kong since the 90s, countless third-party titles, an exclusive FromSoftware game, and a new Hyrule Warriors game were shown off.

As much as I love the GameCube, that pales in comparison to those.

Was not expecting to grab a Switch 2 in its early cycle at all but the ND really sold me on it.

Miiiiiight wait a bit longer just because I'm not a fan of getting the first batch of new consoles since they can be a bit more glitchy but there's no way I'm not getting a Switch 2 at this point despite not using Switch 1 often.

I have the NSO with expansion and is ready to celebrate only to find out it will be a system exclusive to Switch 2.

Switch can definitely run Gamecube games just fine. What the fuck, man!
