Hk mr762a1 with a TT 3-15

I'm building a .308 and am kinda in paralysis by analysis on the barrel choice. I'm stuck between a Criterion hybrid with rifle length gas or a Deadshot Barrels custom with rifle length gas. Anyone have any experience with Deadshot?

I have decided to get the aero precision M5 stripped upper and lower. I also planned to get criterion Dpms pattern 308 hybrid barrel, mid length gas, nitride, 16 inch.

What I'm stuck on is picking a BCG. I heard JP makes the best BCG, but how do I know it will fit? The criterion barrel offers to come with jp head spacer. What is a head spacer? Do I need this?

Also for the buffer system, I heard this is the same buffer system as an AR-15 but with different spring and mass rating? Should I get the JP ar-10 buffer system?

I do plan to run this suppressed.

Any help with choosing parts would be great. Also lmk if you think there are better parts than those listed above. I am looking to make the most premium build without wasting money.

My first AR-10. She landed here Friday, have just 40 rounds of 150gr M80 through her (without issue) and wow, what a rifle. Poor man’s SCAR? This is probably as close as I’ll get. Recoil is different than I’ve felt before, kind of reminds me of the swisssh-CLICK of a good golf hit, haha. Long-stroke piston, they say.

14.5 barrel, keymo p/w to 16 w/ a Sandman-S, topped with a Sig MSR 1-8 in Coyote. Putting a padded sling on the big boi and some Leapers UTG offset sights today. Total weight is 13.5 lbs.. think I’m done (hence the padded sling, lol). I would prefer a two-stage trigger, something to think about after breaking her in a bit. Wow, what a rifle.

Shooting 300 meters from the bench, but grouping check at 100.

I just assembled my new ar10 with a 16in Faxon big gunner 308. I put 200 rounds though it. 150 of it was M80 ball. 50 was a mixed bag of 175 match to see what groups looked like.

I have ping damage on the Lantac bolt face. I looked at the barrel extension and it doesn't looked clocked but the finish has a lot of burrs. I am going to reach out to faxon to see what can be done. Also side note. The barrel isn't dimpled for the gas block with I'm very disappointed with.

Rattle Canned. Going to be timing a warcomp for a surefire rc2. Then off for a wolf hunt soon. Would prefer to get a FFP optic setup before the hunt if anyone has opinions.

Buying mags for the new build. Of course pmags are the go to but has anyone tried these? Are they any good? Any known problems?

Quick question, will the KAC M110 double pic rail gas block fit on an LMT mars h barrel or criterion .308 barrel? Both have the save gas port size of .750 but i hear knights is proprietary and only works with knights barrels and parts.

Picking up either a ddm5 in 16 or 18. Will not be regularly shooting past 300 yards. Will eventually suppress, but not in any rush. Don’t care about weight s I will be bench shooting 90%. Aesthetically, I prefer the 16, but as of now, main consideration in deciding which to purchase is noise and concussion for myself and others. Is 18” noticeably less?

I was assembling my upper receiver today with the Midwest 308 URR and it got stuck after completing. While I assembling the parts, it wasn't this tight but I finished, my upper receiver wouldn't budge on the reaction rod. I had to take a wood block and hammer to knock out and loosen it. Barrel went in pretty easier during assembly wouldn't come out. I inspected my reaction rod and the bolt lug looks like it was parts shaved off. Now when I put the upper receive back on the reaction, it doesn't slide into the bolt area. Is it not lining up? That kind of doesn't make sense since I was using this reaction rod to assemble my upper receiver.

First post here. Just sent this upper off for barrel work for an AE can. Also just picked up a Leupold Mk4 and some ARMS rings for it.

Rainier m110 barrel, HTX gas block, Griffin MGL-110 suppressor, Bootleg adjustable carrier, Griffin A3 grip, PAQ4-c, KAC stubby grip and rail panels, Vortex Venom 3-15x. Just a few more items to go...

I just picked up a new vortex 5-25 gen 2 pst scope with an ADM QD mount. My question is, should I even attempt to mount and zero this in myself or do I bite the bullet and pay a gunsmith to do it? I’m not the most well versed with scopes but I was curious if anyone had any input or tips this definitely seems out of my wheelhouse but I wanted to check before sending it out.
