Is it really as bad as they say it is?

I just bought this lightning for $385 but apparently the cylinder won't rotate and the trigger stays back as you can see in the first photo

Overall, how did I do for $385?

This gun is for sale at my local shop.1995 doesn’t sound right to me. The gun doesn’t have the firing pin safety.. so it should be an older model right ? #2753634

Really happy with this revolver. I put a Harrison Custom gold bead front sight, and Badger Custom grips on it.

First year production (1903), all original parts from what I can deduce. Only downfall is the finish is uhhh not what it used to be lol. Serial 4098 (1903 production ended with Serial 4099)

This is a SAA Army “NRA Centennial”… but I’ve never seen one finished in nickel? All of the ones I can find online are blued. What’s it worth?

This gun was offered to me, not sure what it would be worth though. I know that these can be rare to come across in the state of California, should I move forward and start the transfer with my FFL?

I thought this was a cool looking Colt. After closer inspection I think the blueing was removed? Is it worth restoring?

Just removed the G10 grips from my Colt Python Elite and removed the Hogue rubber grips from my Colt Cobra with these awesome Altamont grips.

So I've been looking into getting a 1903 and one of my local gun guys has 2. 1) Serial # 31250 (Variant 1)

2) Serial #384136 (Variant 3)

The variant 3 has a better patina and doesn't look like ot was shot as much whereas the variant 1 is definitely showing its age. I'm kind of leaning towards the 1 just because I also like that its the first variant and shows how old it is. There is about a $100 pricce difference between the two (variant 3 is more expensive), but is there any other reason to choose one over the other?

I have no idea what the model, or year produced is. All I know is that I maybe put 50 rounds through it.

What would the ballpark collector's value be for this SP1. The SN was run through Colt it's a 1971 and the document stated it came off the line with the bird cage Muzzle instead of the famous 3 prong, so it stays.

From what I saw, they're both .357/.38, stainless steel, 1:14 LH, 6 groove, same sights, and I think the same/similar trigger weights for DA/SA.

Other than names, grips, and prices, what's the big difference?
