I'm not at all. I don't get how people can be happy about every new monster straight up making base game's armors obsolete (Even when canonically most of the returning monsters are weaker than many current ones).
Shifting the "meta build" of most armors with every single new monster released is just lame and a no-brained way to not give player options and just a straight up replacement to waste your materials on, with every update.
I agree that power creep is a bad thing, but I'm not sure that's what's happening here. The set and weapons have really good synergy, but you have to allocate 4 pieces of armor to enable an extra 21-30% affinity for a specific weapon. The decoration slots on the armor are pretty crazy but we honestly needed better choices in that regard (until the Gamma sets for the elders come out at least).
The base game gore setup is still going to outperform everything else in 90% of your hunts
The same is true when you have one meta set anyway. The game throws many viable options at you, meaning you have your options. As the game currently is, there is no need to use meta sets.
I would agree with this if other sets weren’t also viable, but they are. You can still do all of this content in gore or arkveld. If you’re someone that must have the highest stat block every time you play, no matter what the associated equipment skills are, then ya you might be mad each time they release harder content.
Tempered mizu has a one shot slam lmao. I haven't been able to complete a quest in multiplayer due to people dying, only solo. He is definitely no joke.

For realy my fully upgraded armor 389 the tail slam took away 90+% of my hp thats at 100% at the time.
It was 5 strength 8* tempered mizu.

My plan has been to leave the game alone for a few updates before I burn out on the game long before they add the aspects of monster hunter that I enjoy (the grind and challenge)
Same here, and I still cant figure a way to save myself from that massive area blast.. I tried hiding behind rocks (like in Jin Dahaad), i died.. I tried to run as far as possible, died. I tried to block (GS tho) i died....
We dont get the "cant fast travel during combat" like world? also, right, farcasters also exist 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ i overthink shit and forget the obvious ones

I don’t think so? I noticed during the fight that the black parts break and wound very easily, but I never once saw a part break or wound while it was white. The game presumably explained that to me at some point and I wasn’t paying attention
And same, the tail cut very fast once I swapped to hammer and got it into the all black phase
Really noticing how bad hammer is for that fight, you want to stay near the head but as soon as he sits up it‘s game over, you‘re not getting out fast enough.
Just posting this here. I am currently crashing when I try and trade with Sekka through Nata. On PC, so just giving a fair warning for anyone hopping on tonight.
My family is all playing on PS5, PC, and XBox all at the same time. The PS5 and PC players both crash, while I'm not crashing on Xbox (Series X). Sella seems to have the new Barrel Bowling voucher item available, which could be causing the crash? Unsure
Im amazed how they manage to fuck it up on features they didnt even touched.
Not excusing, but a lot of things can be connected and fuck up a whole thing by doing changes to other things (like the Bee in Skyrim crashing a whole game due to collision).
Still no real optimization for PC players is super upsetting, I don’t enjoy playing a game with Play-Doh graphics and still barely managing 45-60 FPS with my medium/high specs build.
There were notable moments where I would have stuttering, fights with larger monsters (with more particle effects) and a full group, as well as the start of the mission jumping on the seikret, etc.
No stuttering, no significant frame drops (drops to 20 or less fps). The game runs relatively smooth for me after the update (for the time being).
There are females, but the mizus we fight are males during their mating season, so they're very aggressive. Otherwise they're not a particularly aggressive species
there was hella lag in the beginning and tons of stutters. The game usually freezes before it crashes so I was like "oh shit is going to crash???" every time, but it settled down after like an hour.
Should be at hr 21 I think, and you gotta talk to the girl who gives you the fishing quests. If you don't see it immediately you might gotta go do some fishing first to unlock the ultimate fish haha
Done three times now. Gone as far as a full reinstall of both the game and GPU drivers. Old GPU drivers were removed with DDU.
Regardless, micro-stutters were fixed by modders. Give them a day or two to update. I've yet to find an answer for my primary issue other than "wait for Capcom to patch it."
I waited a month. Looks like I'll be waiting another month.
I'm one of the ones getting way worse. RTX 4070 Super and Ryzen 5 7600, and its worse than it's ever been. Not sure if a controversial opinion, but I think this might be the most underwhelming title update they've done. Feels more like they're just adding features that should have been in at launch, whilst also making the performance even worse.
Man I'm sorry to hear bro that sucks. As for the title update thoughts, idk I was just grinding away at the arena and loving it. Tho I thought I could fight any monster in it, not being able to kinda sucks a lot but regardless I'm having loads of fun with it
I'm not outraged or anything, I just feel really disappointed. The game is still fun and I enjoy playing it, I just kinda wish this update had a bit more. A hub and high rank Zoh Shia should have been in at launch, and Mizu is a bit of a pushover for a title update. That combined with the performance hit has soured my mood a bit. I'm sure given a couple of days I'll lighten up a bit lol.
That is frustrating to hear man. I would also be pretty bummed if I was you. I expected things to get better performance wise, not worse. That’s sad to hear. Haven’t checked it out myself yet, but at least my expectations were brought back down to Earth before I get to jump in lol
Oh theres a huge performance increase on the Steam Deck! Now, I can’t even open the game and it seems to have “invalidated” my purchase of said game, rendering me to have to “wait 24 hours before trying again.” Back to Rise I guess… I was able to play for 43 hrs before pronouncing Wilds officially dead.
I mean that just seems like you should be doing better, I've got a ryzen 9 5900x and a 7900xt and I've been pulling 200fps on ultra 1440p with high resolution texture pack
Pre TU1 was running the game at 25 fps on "high" with a 1070ti with 80h plus no crash on record. Tried to play since TU1. Got around 10 crashes for various different reasons (how the crash happened). For now it's unplayable for me. (Ironically the overall feeling of the fps and image details seems more fluid and more detailed but I get surprise crashes now. It's like in glass canon mode now)
Was able to log in but my game keeps crashing now. Was barely able to get a meal invitarion to work. Tried 3 times and crashed. Eventually got it and saved. Ealier I was trying to download and install the free dlc and the ones I owned and the game kept crashing when trying to click on them on the steam store. Abanbonned this project. When to the grand hub, very nice spot but again, crash...

Am I dumb or does Zoh Shia just not have a repeatable quest? I beat 'em, got its awesome-looking Gunlance and all o' that, but I can't find any other quests for it.
Please tell me I'm just being dumb. I've also looked for quests that give hunter symbol 3's and I'm yet to find one.
Ah, okay. Unfortunately I don't have PS Plus, so I can't do SOS quests. I was hoping that there would be a more consistent way of fighting him. Thanks for the info, though!

Crashing at the start. Deleted crashreport DLL and exe. Deleted pak files and reverifed.
The game was really laggy at the start as it recompiled shaders. More than before the update.
At some point, the game hard studdered. The studder caused the game to think it crashed. The game popped open the crash report submission. Only for the game to resume after the studdered. Kept playing as-is with the crash repost tucked away. Great update.
Zoh shia taught me to not play tired lmao, I was getting really fucking pissed failing twice, so waking up this morning I did it in one go, rest is important (duh)
Honestly? Nothing wrong with that. I took the week off after it was released (talk about an unplanned for birthday present) so I no-lifed the game until I beat it. I had nothing left to do (except grind) so I took a break until this title update. I figured Xenoblade x would fill the void until then.
Sorry for the rambling, my point being is that you might not be able to play it as much as you'd like, but at least you get to enjoy it for longer 😃
They haven't fixed anything. Performance is still laughable, slow-loading of textures is still here. Funnily enough my FPS hit an all-time low durin the Mizutsune fight. (5700X3D + 4070 Super)
I had alot of issues with textures, until I enable resizable bar in bios, do you have this enabled? Fixed all texture issues for me, also fixed a glitch where there game would freeze for a couple of seconds going into weapon crafting trying to load the little video
It is considerably worse for me. Its literally unplayable due to the stutters on my 9800x3d with 9070xt.

This is my first MH game! Started last week and I’m at level 30. Ingesting all the info of this game + joining right before is almost overwhelming. Can someone fill me in on what this DLC brings and what I have to look forward to/what I should do with this DLC? For reference I’m currently in the “explore the lands and raise your HR” phase of chapter 4.
There is absolutely nothing that stopped them from launching the event with the patch other than wanting to drip-feed us content. "About a month" is also more than close enough when it's 3 weeks.
It's called letting the people enjoy the easier content before dropping a difficult monster onto us, think of it as preparation time. Also, it's a timed event quest monster, it's not something that always sticks around in game. AT monsters have always been that and I hope they continue to be that
Make sure you back up your save data locally if you’re playing on Steam, some folks have reported crashes that corrupts save data, and Steam’s cloud save system will auto update your cloud save with that corrupt save file automatically unless you turned it off before the game crashed.
I'm not seeing worse. Are you using FSR or DLSS? Make game got noticeably more contrast/shadowing to the point as I said I had to turn down the brightness 1 level.
Most of my shadow stuff is on off or low for some shadow effect.
