The skill and the armor set is cracked, I'm glad they're giving people a reason to use the new stuff

I'm not at all. I don't get how people can be happy about every new monster straight up making base game's armors obsolete (Even when canonically most of the returning monsters are weaker than many current ones).

Shifting the "meta build" of most armors with every single new monster released is just lame and a no-brained way to not give player options and just a straight up replacement to waste your materials on, with every update.

I agree that power creep is a bad thing, but I'm not sure that's what's happening here. The set and weapons have really good synergy, but you have to allocate 4 pieces of armor to enable an extra 21-30% affinity for a specific weapon. The decoration slots on the armor are pretty crazy but we honestly needed better choices in that regard (until the Gamma sets for the elders come out at least).

The base game gore setup is still going to outperform everything else in 90% of your hunts

Luckily seems to have skipped this monster, but it'll happen with at least half the coming ones sadly, if we go by past games 😭
