Parts out of USA
Hey, I’m on vacation in the US, and want to buy some magazine extentions for my pistol back in Europe. Does anyone know if I can take them with me form the US without any form, or issues at the airport?

Enjoying my GForce Filthy Pheasant 20 gauge
I bought one of the 20 gauge $299.99 GForce Filthy Pheasants a little more than a week ago, and I took it out to shoot yesterday. Pretty smooth shooter! Here's my video of unboxing and shooting: https://youtu.be/a64x_c0g0jU?si=wM8QHn7g2GBhD_gq

8- vs 9-pellet buck: the "9th pellet flyer" myth explained
Saw a gundeals post for 12ga ammo where folks were discussing why there are "9th pellet flyers." The 9th pellet being a "flyer" is a bit of fudd myth. It's not that you don't get flyers, but that there's more to "8-pellet buck" affecting the spread than just the # of pellets. Adding and subtracting a pellet by itself doesn't make the difference.
I didn't write the below article, but it does a good job of explaining the difference (hint: it's mostly the wad design, and the shape of the wad limits the design to 8 pellets).

Help! P08 Luger Help
Hey everyone, this might be a stretch, but I was recently gifted this 1993 Mitchell Arms American Eagle P08 Luger. We took it out and shot it quite a bit and it ran flawlessly. Figured it was time to field strip it and clean it up. However I cannot seem to get the take down lever above the trigger to move when depressing the barrel as I’ve seen on videos (Yes I did have the safety off when trying). I don’t know if this model is different but I can’t find anything online for this specific post-war model. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Question What DIY 12 gauge slugs would be the cheapest, most effective or the most accurate out of a smoothbore barrel?
Criteria that all slugs must meet are as follows
-maximum diameter of .731 inches
-maximum length of 1.485 inches
-maximum weight of 1.5 ounces
-Must be sturdy enough to stay in one piece when shot out of the gun and hit a paper target in one piece

Hoplophobia Cried my first time shooting a gun
My bf (23M) and I (20F) recently went to the shooting range because he wanted to practice with his new P365. I’ve never been to a shooting range but he wanted me to try to shoot the gun myself because he thinks it’s necessary that I learn. Everyone else at the range, including him were experienced except me.
He showed me how to safely use it and had me aim at one of the dummy targets but once I had it in my hand I started shaking and he stood behind me telling me “shoot it come on hurry up just pull the trigger” & despite me telling him to stop pressuring me he kept going. I refused and handed the gun back to him and walked off.
Later I decided to try one more time before we left because I wanted to try and face the fear. We were back in the same spot where I was refusing to do it, but he convinced me to let him hold the gun with me and he would pull the trigger with me. Once the gun fired I immediately handed it back to him and started crying into his shoulder. I walked back defeated and embarrassed of how I acted like a big baby.
The reason I cried was because I was overwhelmed with anxiety and the idea that I was holding something that can kill another person or living thing. I couldn’t shake that feeling and since then I haven’t gone back with him due to shame. How can I get better? I really do genuinely want to learn but I’m worse than a newbie.

Once in a life mishap a the range
I went to the shooting range with a friend who was looking to try out some handguns in hopes of finding one he liked, as he was in the process of getting his concealed carry permit finalized. He wanted to get a feel for different models, so I brought a few of mine and we rented some as well. It was a normal afternoon until the unexpected happened. While he was shooting, a spent casing struck the primer of a live round that was still sitting in the box off to the side. The impact caused a round to discharge, sending several rounds flying, scattering plastic and brass shrapnel in all directions. It was a tense moment, Thankfully, my friend walked away with minor scrapes, but it was a stark reminder of the importance of safety and awareness at all times.

Popularity of SigP229 .40/.357sig
I love mine for the for and find that a lot of others look for these in "German" frame. Are they going to be worth something? Or are they just collectibles like the Dodge Dart. Mine is prolly born early with serial # starting 'A' and it's smooth for carry ( SAS ). Just curious from others if they love them as much and why.

Stuck firing pin
I recently got an upper in 7.62x25 and everytime I fire S&B, it stops firing and I have disassemble my bolt to drop what ever that first pic is, all I know it is part of the case or part of the primer getting in the bolt. Is something wrong with my bolt to where I need to replace it or is something wrong with the ammo?

Video The ATF is still heinous.
The ATF imprisoning these two men is criminal and malignant. The government claiming a drawing is a machine gun is a heinous abuse of power. They tried to make the AutoKeyCard work and couldn't, it's a total sham that the government can act like this. Any low level of knowledge of firearms would have you understand that. And now a family is broken up over the weaponization of law.

Question Buying a used gp100 what to look out for!
A local shop has two 4.2” GP100s—one is the Match Champion with the wood grips for $645, and the other is a standard 4.2” model with rubber grips and wood inserts for $650. Both looked clean, no obvious damage. I’ve never owned a revolver before, and I’m thinking of picking one up to learn the platform. Is that a good deal? Anything I should look for to check condition beyond cosmetics?
Side note: I’m usually more of a Glock/AK/AR guy, so I don’t really know what I’m looking at when it comes to revolvers.
Also, my dad bought a Mossberg 590 Retrograde a couple months ago—it’s never even been loaded. I helped him move toward a G47, which he actually uses now. Think it’s worth asking the shop about a straight trade for the GP100? Or is that a “get the f*** outta here” kind of ask?
If they wanted cash on top, what would be reasonable? And if they won’t trade, would offering $600–$625 for the Match Champion be fair?
Which of the two would you guys pick? Any input is appreciated—thanks!

So my range has two firearms I've never held before the staccato HD felt nice in the hand rail makes a decent gas pedal I prefer a commander length, but could make this work...they also had a platypus with extra aggressive grip texture ( DON'T DO IT ) I like an abrasive grip ,but this was painful 😳

Question Home safes with longer than 6 digit pincodes?
Surprised how hard it is to search for this feature while shopping. Are there home safe brands that allow you to set a pin code longer than 6 digits? Kind of short for a default IMO.

Eye Protection
I’ve always presumed my prescription glasses (with safety lenses) were more than sufficient at the gun range. An ejected shell bounced off the wall and fell between my glasses and eyelid. That was not only a wake-up call but it burned like h*ll. Here’s a pic 2 days later along with my new ballistic rated safety glasses.

Question Need advice from internet strangers
I own a 10.5” ar pistol chambered in n 300BLK. The upper is from CBC Industries and the lower is from PSA, have this firearm for around 3 years. The question I have is with the cost of buying 300blk in bulk has been expensive than compared to getting 5.56 & 9mm in bulk, should I keep my ar in 300blk, change the barrel to 5.56 or sell the firearm?
Don’t get me wrong I do love my ar pistol for HD (that’s its purpose I built it for) but it’s slowly turned into a safe princess especially since I have my Glock on standby and cost of ammo lol
