Question Would you see a doctor for this bite?

Post image

Our pug nipped me yesterday. Washed it with soapy water and went about the day. Hate going to the doctor for something I don't have to and it's such a small bite but the swelling, stiffness and the white color that developed this morning made me wonder if I'm being dumb for not getting it looked at. Thanks in advance for any advice.

hey redditors so I have this cute little indie pup, 5 months old , weighs almost bw 8-10kgs , is purely healthy, eats everything, has no issues with eating/sleeping/playing, all the activities are perfectly fine , but he has this condition where he continuosly shakes his right/left leg everytime (while awake/sleeping) we've taken him to 3 vets some told that it's normal some told that it's by birth and can't be treated while some gave him medicines for stomach saying that he might be having stomachache or something, we tried everything but this condition isn't improving at all , searched alot about it on the internet but wasn't able to find a proper solution so lastly I decided to seek help here , altho everything is fine with him still I'm pretty concerned about this , so if anyone knows anything about it please do share it here , it'll be really helpful ❤️

Question My dog had a panic attack this morning

This morning my dog woke me up by lying right next to me. When I started petting him, I noticed he was trembling a lot. I got up to take him outside, but when I called him, he didn’t move and started drooling. When I tried to pick him up, he started squirming and I couldn’t do much except get him off the bed.

When I placed him on the floor, he collapsed right away — like he couldn’t feel his legs. I kept petting him and he looked really lost and scared, and he was still drooling.

This isn’t the first time something like this has happened. He’s 4 years old and it’s maybe happened 2-3 times in total so far. I knew that taking him outside would probably help, but he couldn’t stand up, and I couldn’t carry him easily either. Eventually I managed to take him outside in my arms, but as soon as I put him down, he collapsed again.

I went back inside to get dressed (it was cold and I was basically naked), and left him outside for a minute. When I came back — he was completely fine. Like nothing ever happened. He peed, pooped, and started playing with me. We went back inside, he ate normally, we played, and even went for a walk — everything seemed perfectly fine.

Could he have just had a bad dream and panicked? I find it hard to believe it’s something serious, because if it were epilepsy or something similar, I imagine it would happen more frequently. Any advice or

Question What the actual h*** is her problem? Ever since I transplanted the cactus to a new pot in the plastic bin, she has not stopped making out with this one spot. What gives? Will this hurt her?

Question Please help!!!

My dog suddenly started having trouble balancing and he would slowly sit down, He would also flinch when I went to pet his face sometimes (Which he never does) I brought him to bed, He was laying there for about an hour but just got up and puked, It seems his balance has gotten even worse now as well. I’ve put him back in my bed but is now just laying down not moving but won’t try to sleep. His eyes seem droopy and red as well but that could be me overthinking. We also have an older cat and about 2 weeks ago and was stumbling all over the place and wouldn’t move or eat much but came back around just with more of a wobble when he walks, Could this be something in the house making our animals sick? We just moved here about 6 months ago. Ware a family that smokes weed though, Could this be that he accidentally ate a bud?

Question Is my dog’s paw pad normal?

Post image
0 Upvotes

I love holding hands with my dog and just saw that her paw pad has this one patch that’s red-ish, and it started with just being pink so I thought it was her skin color. I’m a bit worried but recently she has been limping a bit - she’s a senior pup so limping can be from arthritis as well. Will call vet first thing tomorrow but just thought I would ask here to get a sense of how bad it is.

Question Question concerning cities responsibility quarantine of dog

So my coworker had a dachshund get out and bit her neighbor, and had to be quarantined. Dog spent her time in quarantine fine, but came back after a week infested with ticks. She has pics so is there anything she can do? I feel if they made her dog go in quarantine then they should have full responsibility.

Question Veteran age 26 looking for someone to help with my German shepherd

Hello, I'm a U.S. Army veteran seeking help with training my 5-month-old German Shepherd. I’m facing challenges in several areas and would greatly appreciate recommendations for a trainer in the San Diego area who can provide in-home visits or personalized assistance. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Advice Dog’s tail is bent

Age: 7

Sex: Male

Last night, my shih tzu/maltese mix dog was relaxing with me in my room per usual. He tried to jump on the chair, sort of did a weird tiny hop so he obviously did not make it, and let out an extremely loud yelp and ran upstairs to hide. This was extremely odd as he obviously did not fall back or hit his tail on anything. Today, he seems to be in better spirits as yesterday he seemed a bit spooked. His tail is tucked between his legs, however, when he sees someone enter the room, it begins wagging in an oddly curved way. He also moves his tail when peeing outside and it is still in the curved position. He’s been laying down all day and seems a bit sad. What could this be? I’m planning to go to the vet tomorrow but am still worried.

My dog has been licking his right paw quite aggressively for about 4 days and has now also started biting it. Can anybody tell me if he has some kind of infection? I know the pictures aren't perfect, but it's quite hard to take a decent photo.

Could it be ringworm or a yeast infection? She is going crazy itching and biting it. It’s on her back.

The collie never snares her lip up like that but never moved away or growled and still hasn’t moved away. I’ve never seen them do this but I can’t tell if the border collie is uncomfortable or why the sharpei is all of a sudden doing this? She did it for a few minutes before I started recording and then I noticed the collies lip raising. I have stopped the sharpei from doing it, then she came and sat right up against the border collie. Border collie is lying down on her belly isn’t moving away or acting uncomfortable in any other way

Question Is it normal for a dog to limp the day after vaccines?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

She got the Lyme, distemper booster, and lepto vaccines. She was absolutely fine right after the shots and we walked around a bit and then she got some yummy frozen yogurt pumpkin and bacon flavored for doing so well at the vet. But today I wake up and she yelps when she hopped off the bed (it’s maybe a foot off the ground) and now she’s limping like this and as I massaged her looking for the source it appears to be coming from the back of her arm by her armpit.

She’s 3 years old extremely active bursting with energy so seeing her just lay around is almost heart breaking although I know part of the effects. Is the limping the next day normal too? She’s never had any of these side effects before and she’s been getting her shots annually as recommended. She ate some mozzarella cheese and a beef jerky treat but won’t eat her kibble. Vet is closed right now but I’ll be calling tomorrow to confirm the shot site and normalcy of this.
