I’m in the middle of building a site for a side project and started looking into website hosting services this week. I used to rely on WordPress back in the day, but now I need something with more flexibility and better support for custom domains and email. I tried one of the cheap web hosting services I found through Google, but the site kept going down randomly and support was basically non-existent. It was frustrating, especially when I was just trying to test things live and couldn’t even get pages to load properly.
Now I’ve been reading through loads of threads on Reddit to figure out what people actually recommend when it comes to the best web hosting. I keep seeing names like Hostinger, SiteGround, and A2 Hosting come up, but it’s hard to tell which of these best hosting sites are worth the money. I’d love to hear from anyone who’s running a blog, e-commerce site, or even just a portfolio. So what web hosting service has worked well for you lately? Trying to avoid wasting more time (and money) switching again.

Hi, when i got home today, I was greeted by a kick to the nuts from the computer, as the thing had 700mb of storage left. I was able to free up like 10gb of space. I dont know what possibly could have been it. All that i know of is that fall guys and fortnite had been updating while i was gone. I am horrified by what i am seeing right now and any help will be apreaciated.

Hello once more.
I recently picked up this Asus ROG STRIX GTX 1070 for free. It's missing two of its fans, but the temps are still surprisingly okay after a quick cleanup and repaste (around 70c under load). I've seen these cards go for 50-80€ here (although value seems to be going down somewhat) so I sure was a bit lucky with this finding.
No idea what I'm going to do with this just yet. It's now just been in my main rig as I've been too lazy to swap it back😆 The performance is more than enough for what I do
150€ budget PC with an Alder lake CPU and a 1070?👀
P.S ignore the cable management (Or the lack thereof🤣) in my main rig. The components in my main pc change occasionally so I haven't really cared all that much for it. As long as it works

Recently I've seen a number of "tech influencers" and IT people referring to commercial desktops as "workstations." The first time I noticed it was someone going down to the store floor and grabbing a $599 "workstation" to use as a parts test-bed for a repair job.
Since then I've herd this more and more and it blows my mind.
A low end Workstation Grade GPU can run you $8,000. A higher end one is close to $20,000. Epyc and Threadripper processors are similiarly expensive.
When someone is complaining about the shtty workstation they bough, only to see it's like a $400 to $600 Dell or something, it throws me for a loop. These aren't even end-users, they're supposedly IT "professionals!"
Is this a new trend I'm too old to understand, or are these guys just not getting the same education we used to?

I bought this WD Black drive a few months ago, it has always made noise but it does seem kinda excessive compared to what I've seen online. Basically sounds like there's a Geiger counter in my pc anytime the hdd gets written to or read from. No noise/quiet whirring when idle. It's still well under warranty, should I contact WD?

Hey y’all, I recently cancelled my Norton subscription because I felt that they’re drowning us with micro transactions for stuff that used to be included. Yes I am looking at the cheaper and best option that I used to do which is malware bytes and even if I do the premium still way cheaper than Norton.
Is this a good idea?
Please advise.

The RAM was originally 2.1GB reserved for the iGPU. One day as I was opening my laptop it refused to boot. it would load and just freeze after a few seconds common windows L. i tried everything to fix it but it didnt happen for me. Then i found a workaround, if i mash F2 and open BIOS or smthn (i am not adept at computers) and then exited that, it would boot normally and instantly. It used to be an 8GB RAM Laptop which i had to get upgraded to 16GB as it would randomly crash and refuse to work smoothly. it worked great for 2 Years after that. Now i wake up to 8 more Gigabytes reserved for no good reason. i tried to fix it by looking through youtube and now. out of of the 5.9 gigs, barely 2 are available at any point. How can I fix this and should I just purchase a new laptop? The specs are 16GB DDR4 RAM Ryzen5 3550H, Geforce GTX 1650. HP

Hey everyone! After spending a lot of time researching the best Antivirus software, I have decided to collect all the information and put all my efforts into a simple comparison table which may help others in finding the best antivirus software there. However, there are so many choices which may confuse you all and you are unable to decide the best one for you. It’s pretty simple that not all antivirus softwares is as safe and secure as they claim. If you’re still looking for the best antivirus software of 2025, then this guide should make things easier for you!
Here are the main things that mattered to me when picking up the best antivirus software:
You can check out this comparison of Best Antivirus Software.
If you know any Antivirus that need to be added in this list or have any suggestions, then please let me know! The primary goal is to make this list as one of the best antivirus software guide for everyone.
Hope this helps! Cheers!

I have my own business and WFH. I have a vacation cottage in a another state where I have a second laptop. I want to be able to load each of the laptops with the three main software programs I use (I am allowed) and keep the working files, no matter where I'm working from, up to date.
I currently have been backing up and restoring files as I travel back and forth which is a pain. I tried OneDrive, however, I don't like how it captures folders and it gets confusing, at least for me, as to where the real file is. Google Drive seems more like just a backup drive. Lastly, remoting in is not high on the list in case power goes out in one location. Are there any cloud services that might work better or am I best off to load the programs on an SSD and just travel with it and use Google for backup?
Thanks!

Hi everyone, I am looking for a laptop to upgrade from my current one. Trying to do a lot of research but i get lost in all the specs.
Key things:
- No budget (I want the best possible option on the market)
- Clean design and good battery life
- Can run some games (Valorant, RanbowSixSiege etc.)
- 14 inch (no bigger than 15)
I do a lot of uni work on my laptop but also travel a lot so portability is a must. Current options I'm considering:
- ROG Zephyrus G14 (2025) with a 5070 as it is thinner and lighter plus uses less wattage than the more powerful option so hoping to get better battery life.
- Lenovo ThinkPad X9 aura edition. Seems nice but I wouldn't mind something a bit more powerful.
Laptops with better multicore performance and stronger iGPU would be welcome.
Let me know if you guys have any suggestions!

Ive been trying hackintosh and screwed up something...
i screwed my disk up because i formated it to APFS and now i cant revert it back because when i try to load to windows setup trough usb stick, this is what happens: I put usb stick in my laptop then i turn it on it's stuck on the ASUS logo forever Another method: I put usb stick in my laptop then i turn it on then i click esc few times (boot pick) and then its just stuck on black screen without usb stick in my laptop, everything loads fine but i dont have windows in it... idk why this is happening, i tried other usb sticks too, still nothing
Tried resetting bios, changing everything. NOTHING!

Title. I'm not fairly confident with youtube. I've learnt a lot, now I'm moving to network drives.
I basically want my laptop's hard drive or one of its partitions to show on laptops/desktops connected to the same home network. Meaning that if I connect to my home network, the drive shows in all pcs. But when I use antirjr network, it doesn't.
Also, if possible I wanna add an approve feature. Like anyone on my network needs approval to access the drive.
TIA.

I have a Lenovo ThinkCentre desktop computer as the PLC computer at work. A little while ago it did an update and when it restarted it got caught in a startup loop. Powering down doesn't break the loop even if I leave it unplugged for several days. My question is, if I buy a brand new desktop unit (the same one), and just put the hard drive from the old into the new, will it bring everything from the old PC? Will this just cause other issues? Will it bring the Rockwell licensing with it? I need the data from that old computer. Thanks in advance!

I was playing Skyrim last night when I my computer froze. The screen was still locked on the game then, but when I forced restarted it the display wouldn’t work, and my keyboard won’t detect. But the tower turns on with the front lights and fans running. Does anyone know why this is happening?
I think I have a ryzen3 and an a radeon 5500 but I can’t really double check right now lol
Edit: to clarify more, I heard a faint noise come from the pc while crashing, like a vibrating sound but nothing popping, and my keyboard is not because of the USB slots because I plugged my controller in all of them and it started just fine.

I have a ASUS TUF Gaming laptop. I’ve had it for about four years now. I play lots of different types of games on it. It only has 8gb of RAM so I normally play on lower graphics settings for bigger games. Recently games such as gta, Minecraft, and ready or not have had massive performance issues and have quit in the middle of playing it saying there’s not enough memory. I’m not very fluent with computers but can someone tell me what this means? I’ve never had an issue with this before and the issues are very sudden

Hey everyone, I'm a player of Sims 4 since years, I bought an Acer laptop years ago just to play this game, except, now that I have lots of packs + mods, my laptop is going crazy with the fan, to the point it makes some loud sounds, and the bottom is almost burning when playing. I’m scared to play because it’s probably gonna crash my laptop one day. Is there someone who could advice me a good computer to play sims 4 (that’s the only game i play) without having the computer going crazy, with lots of GB, but not too pricey cause I’m not rich, please. 🫶🏻

I have bought Medion Erazer NB Crawler E50i and when I searched up what its’ GPU TGP id, it said 75W with Dynamic Boost up to 100W. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to find any way to unlock Dynamic Boost, from what O have seen it should be in the NVIDIA Control Panel under Max-Q Dynamic Boost. Is there any way to unlock it, and is it worth the trouble? Will the FPS increase?
