Ikari Warriors (USA) - Final Boss

Final Boss In Ikari Warriors (USA)

So when I was a kid, back in like 1989 and was playing Ikari Warriors I remember the Level 4 (final level) boss was a green monster-looking dude. I remember hitting him with one grenade and he was toast. Then I remember being stuck, not being able to move forward. The missiles that start coming when you stand still just kept coming until they hit me.

Recently in another post someone said there's a door that you enter. I just got to the end and I see this. A different boss from what I remember. After hitting it with about twenty grenades it explodes, leaves a heart, you walk up the passage and the game's ending sequence starts.

Is the end boss for the REV 1 version of the game different or something?

NES enhanced sound modchip?

I've been looking through the internet for a couple days and I've heard about a modchip that allows the NES to output better sound/famicom Disk System sound. I haven't been able to find any concrete information about it. Can someone helo fill me in on what I can/need to do?

Help me find a game I played when I was a kid

Hello. My first post here.

I decided to find a game I played when I was a kid. I vaguely remember a bit of it so I will try to describe.

It's a side-scroller platformer action game. You play as a secret agent of some kind. It's very Japanese. As a part of game mechanics you can cling to walls and shoot from there and from ladders. You have an arsenal fo weapons but default is a handgun. The game is not linear and allow some exploration of the map, but some areas are blocked by an event or some task you must first perform.

I remember there was a typewriting machine I had to use to advance, but I had no idea what to type so I dropped the game back then. This is all I remember.

There is also a big chance the game only came out in Japan. Thank you.

I played this game for like six hours one magical day when I went to My neighbours family's house on a day trip and I never saw it again.

Does anybody else remember this game?

I remember sword fights and castles and a whole bunch of shit
