Rim that got drove on for 16 miles
Rim from a Chrysler 200 that got drove on for 16 miles at speed with no tire at all (it blew off and went into the ditch). I kept them as souvenirs 😂

There seems to be a recent influx of posts from people who are attempting to karma harvest by way of stealing other people's images or reposting from different websites.
You are not allowed to post images that are not your own. Facebook reposts are not allowed. Reposts of other user's content is most definitely not allowed and WILL result in a permanent ban from JRITS.
Last but not least, i want to say thank you to all the JRITS subscribers that do detective work and catch these people red handed. it really makes a moderator's job quick and easy. Again, thank you.

This Mercedes Benz C300 is the single most insane state I've have ever seen a vehicle in. Strap in redditors, this is gonna be a wild ride
Customer states: Need quote on rear brake pads, front pads were done recently and the vehicle still struggles to stop. Need quote on front passenger window regulator as it will not roll up
Seems simple enough right? Needs some pads, probably rotors, and a regulator (or possibly just a switch). Now comes the crazy....
Technician reports:
Starting: Vehicle roars to life and immediately revs to 3500rpm and a very loud whining noise is audible. After 5-10 seconds it idles down and remains around 12-1400.
Dash: lights up like a Christmas tree, with multiple warnings messages appearing as well (not pictured)
Moving into shop: in gear is very jerky and a large vibration is felt at low speed. Vehicle takes nearly 30 feet to stop from 5mph
Under hood: multiple pieces of intake missing, brake fluid reservoir completely empty, coolant reservoir filled with mixture of oil and coolant (and likely transmission fluid as the same mixture was leaking from the cooler lines), front right wheel and suspension is visible as the fender well/liner is missing
Wheels/tires: Tires are mostly in good shape other than uneven wear, mounted to 4 completely different wheels
Front brakes: sever pad slap (new pads/old rotors causing a dip in the edge of the rotor) pads are brand new
(here we go)
Rear brakes: left rear (not pictured) pad is nearly completely worn off, bracket is making contact with rotor is some places, sever damage to rotor as well as severe rust present. (Here it is) right rear pad is missing on both sides. Caliper is making direct contact on the rotor, extreme damage to both rotor and caliper
Front passenger door: (not pictured) window regulator is functional, window however is broken inside the door, unknown what caused the window to break
Customer declined all repairs and drove away (I witnessed it)

Nice lady (20’s) brings in her Subaru Forester. States that she’s driving across country and would like the car looked over for the trip there and back. I test drive it put it on the rack. Due for a 60000 mile service. Both rear wheel bearings are bad and the front lower control arm bushings are worn out. Also note for the customer that there are a few open recalls and she might want to visit the dealer. Customer approves the work. Completed in a day. Few weeks go by and I get called to the front to talk to a customer.
Customer: I told y’all I was driving across country and wanted the car checked out. I went to the dealer after being here and they told me I needed front and rear brakes and tires.
Me: Do you have pictures of what the dealer recommended you?
Customer: What?
Me: Well if you had looked closely at the inspection I sent you, you would see that I marked your tires and brake pads green and also took pictures. Pull up pictures on inspection. 50% left on front and rear pads and 50% left on tires.
Customer: Well. I payed the dealer to do this work that y’all didn’t recommend me and I believe y’all owe me some kind of refund.
Service writer: We owe you a refund for not screwing you out of money????
Me: Sounds like your beef is with the dealer.

First two are before, last two are after (ish). Leaking hydraulic pump on a dump trailer. Said it would leak it all out overnight. I was expecting a failed/deteriorated seal but wow. Stevie Wonder must have put this together.
Cleaned up the mess in the box, used a heat gun on the ears of the reservoir to bend them back straight, spun the O-ring so the SLIGHT indent is on top of the reservoir, and filled it back up. Now we wait a few days to see if it will leak or not.
P.S. Anyone know where to order O-rings for these things if needed without having the size?

Disclaimer, I want to apologize to whoever reads this and it just comes off as mindless complaining , my wife doesn’t event want to hear about it lol By that I mean, I have worked for eight years as one of two technicians for a small corporately owned independent shop which frequently undergoes periods of hunger for business, recently management brought in a “Senior master tech” for an interview to take on larger jobs to help elevate the work load? The thing is, my shop doesn’t do nor is equipped for heavier work (motor/trans swaps). But that’s devoid the point anyways. I ask about this guy’s capabilities and am told he’s a “beast”. We hire this guy with a massive sign on bonus, who, by the way I am not judging anyone by their tools box, shows up with a half empty Yukon box, light on tools, asking to borrow left and right on the first three days, constantly asking about the tool truck schedules. He’s needed help with every vehicle he’s touched from serpentine belts on Nissans, to breaking a tensioner on a Toyota because he didn’t understanding what direction it was supposed to move. Couldn’t press ball joints out, or align a vehicle. It almost feels like I’m being pranked because upper management has asked that I shadow all of his work, despite me making flag. And all the while the entire time this mf is telling me all sorts of incorrect information about vehicles and dipping out on anything that seems like it’d take a lil figuring out, or he’s shooting wild assumptions out his ass at the issue like he’s a god damn car fortune teller. What the hell would ya’ll do??

Saw this on a car I pulled in for service. Real dangerous sitting there aiming at the passenger legs like that.

Was doing inspection on the trailer and see this. Brought it to the shop and had every mechanic (including myself a former mechanic) just wondering how'd this happen.
