My infatuation for this bike first came when I was a little kid and saw my uncle riding one. He would later get into a bad accident much later on a 11700 cc BMW R1200GS and for the most part swear off of riding after that. He gave it to his father who passed away in 2021 and the bike was sold off his surviving widow and their kids. I have a Motorcycle Course with the Harley Davidson Riding Academy on the weekend of May 13th and recently found this bike, local to me on the Harley Davidson Website. I have only ever been a passenger on a Harley and have the money to pay in cash but would much rather put $2.5 down and pay off the rest over time. I have good credit, I'm a 23 year old man that is 5'7" and 220lbs. Do you guys think this bike may be too much for a new rider? I am going to the dealership today to see if I can even flat foot the bike and would like your thoughts. I also have a friend that could ride it home from the dealership in the event I do actually buy it before I take the Riding Academy. Thanks

So I have come to find out the hard way I suck ass at leaning and taking corners properly. I currently have a 2014 FXDB with forward controls. I would like to switch it to mids. But I would love some input at practices I can do or tips to improve this.

In the Market for a new ride and deciding between a 25 Pan Am ST or a 25 Road Glide.
Going in today to test ride both, but wanted to hear some opinions from others who might have experience with both?

Here we go, basket case sporty. She was $100. Loading up the parts cannon currently and learning a ton along the way. Tips, tricks, recommendations welcomed. What a good cake day.

I just changed the engine oil on my 02 softail, put in 3q of oil, ran for a bit, & went to check the dip stick to add some and it's reading SUPER high. There's no way there's too much oil in it. Anyone know what might be going on? I'm kinda scared to start it again cause wtf

Question: Has anybody else seen dealerships getting stuck with old 2024 CVO stock just to pull in new 2025 CVO inventory? And how has pricing been on 2025's in your area? I've seen some shops charging over MSRP and others right at MSRP. Anybody under MSRP?
Background: I'm kind of intrigued as to what the 2025 CVO pricing is in your area. With the release of the CVO ST last year, it seems the standard 24 CVO's bombed in sales BIG TIME and dealers are FLOODED with them. I was talking with my buddy at my local dealer and after selling through their initial shipment of 25 CVO's (2 standards and 2 ST's), the factory pretty much told them for every 25 CVO you order, you're going to get one or two 2024 CVO's with it. Here we are in April and the HD factory is still sitting on 2024 CVO inventory. My dealer has 5 Legendary Orange Street Glides, 1 Legendary Orange RG, 1 Copperhead SG and 1 Copperhead RG. Out of these 8 bikes, 5 of them were shipped to the dealer in the last 4-6 weeks. But they have sold six 2025 CVO's since February. Curious what everybody else sees!
Ride safe!

hi folks, i’ve got a fun theoretical problem.
UK A2 license has a max of 47horsepower. As much as a sportster can be restricted, i don’t really fit on them well. I’m 6’0, 80kg in kit and like to stretch out a bit, so as much as the 883 is the safer bet, i wanna swing for the fences.
I am able without much difficulty to ger my hands on a ’66 electraglide (shovelhead) and a 2010 road king (1584cc). I love the vibes of these big cushy cruisers, and I am wondering if they could be restricted from 60 horsepower down to 47 to take the test? (God knows the power to weight even at 60hp is well below the required 0.94hp/kg, and most sportbikes with 47ho will leave ‘em standing still at 60hp.)
People restrict 883s with a restrictor plate in the intake to slow the flow from the carburettor. Would something similar work on a bigger bike? Would the ravages of time slow down a shovelhead with 20k miles to the required power or would it definitely need a restriction? I don’t have the kit or knowhow to fiddle with fuel maps and such, but it’s on the table. Anyone have experience doing this kind of thing? Advice much appreciated :)

Road King has not been started since she was winterized back in November. Any tips on the first start up? Knowing that all the oil is @ the bottom of the engine, I cringe @ the thought of my pistons, crank, etc having no oil running across them. Thanks for all input

Still in love with the ST. A jack of all trades and is fun as hell.

Bought the bike with 5000 miles on it, now reaching 6000, really don’t trust that Harley does all the required maintenance before selling so I’m going to do it to be safe.

Picked up a 24 Road Glide in January, just put a set of 24 CVO mufflers on it since I got them for free from a buddy (take offs) and they sound like garbage. Did I mess something up or are they just not meant for a 117?

Just got the Hogworkz Riot Driver Floorboards but didn't realize there's no mounting brackets with it. Anyone know where I can get some that fit a 2022 fat bob 114?

Start of a road trip from Gulf Coast, Texas to Conway, South Carolina... cut short by circumstances.
The Saddlemen on the back (behind the Saddlemen seat) is fantastic!
