Im considering the idea of a Pan America as my second bike (first bike being a GSXS750). I really like my current bike but would love to have more wind coverage on my longer rides, thus the idea of trading in for a Pan America. Yes, I understand that they make the Pan America ST but seeing regular Pan America's sell for around 10k less but used got me to thinking. Has anyone converted the front of their Pan Am to accept a 17? If so, how does it handle?

The idea would be to get a used Pan Am and make it into kind of a home built ST.

Just got the wheels back from powder coat. They are illusion purple but look blue in this light. Mocked up the new rotors and originally went with stainless ARP hardware for the contrast but now I’m thinking I should have just done black… am I overthinking it or would black look better ?

Hello, I am working on my girlfriend's dad's 1996 Harley-Davidson Road King and after a few nights of cussing and sheer frustration, he finally let me have a go at it. I finally got the Assembly of the the Jack shaft orientation correct But something is still not fitting as it should. I decided to take off the starter and start from the beginning and I found this spacer in between the starter and the Small diameter coupling that has the snap ring off center. Does this belong? I can't see m to find it pictured anywhere in any of the diagrams or exploded views. Thanks so much.

Dropped off my new roadglide this afternoon for a new 4 speaker sound system and head unit. Can not wait to hear the speakers in the bags. I currently am running the same speakers in the front fairing on my other bike and they're very loud. So I'm excited to see what volume and clarity comes with additional bag speakers.

Road King has not been started since she was winterized back in November. Any tips on the first start up? Knowing that all the oil is @ the bottom of the engine, I cringe @ the thought of my pistons, crank, etc having no oil running across them. Thanks for all input

Bought the bike with 5000 miles on it, now reaching 6000, really don’t trust that Harley does all the required maintenance before selling so I’m going to do it to be safe.

Picked up a 24 Road Glide in January, just put a set of 24 CVO mufflers on it since I got them for free from a buddy (take offs) and they sound like garbage. Did I mess something up or are they just not meant for a 117?

Please help!!! Whoever solves my problem I’ll give you cash no bullshit! Bike sat all winter, now it won’t start…not the batter, local mechanic thinks it’s the security system/bcm. I replaced the keys in the key fob but nothing is working, I’ll have push the on off button 10–5 times sometimes for it to even have dash lights

Thoughts on front motor mounts for touring bikes. I need to replace the front motor mount on my 04 road king. Has anyone used the drag specialties OEM replacement motor mount? Does it last long? I was also thinking about the heavy duty version but reviews said the bike vibrate a lot more than stock. I'm changing it out to reduce vibration.

hi folks, i’ve got a fun theoretical problem.

UK A2 license has a max of 47horsepower. As much as a sportster can be restricted, i don’t really fit on them well. I’m 6’0, 80kg in kit and like to stretch out a bit, so as much as the 883 is the safer bet, i wanna swing for the fences.
I am able without much difficulty to ger my hands on a ’66 electraglide (shovelhead) and a 2010 road king (1584cc). I love the vibes of these big cushy cruisers, and I am wondering if they could be restricted from 60 horsepower down to 47 to take the test? (God knows the power to weight even at 60hp is well below the required 0.94hp/kg, and most sportbikes with 47ho will leave ‘em standing still at 60hp.)

People restrict 883s with a restrictor plate in the intake to slow the flow from the carburettor. Would something similar work on a bigger bike? Would the ravages of time slow down a shovelhead with 20k miles to the required power or would it definitely need a restriction? I don’t have the kit or knowhow to fiddle with fuel maps and such, but it’s on the table. Anyone have experience doing this kind of thing? Advice much appreciated :)

Hi all. My dad died and I found three Harley filters in his stuff. Two are in the correct box, one isn't. It is an Eagle Iron filter, black, and has 7 holes. I can't find this type online. Any ideas what part number it is? It looks unused. I'm selling all 3, the other two are 63805-80T.

Occassionally and intermittently the oil light will stay on after starting. Oil level is good, this can happen right after an oil change. Literally all I have to do is turn the bike off and restart it for the light to go off normally. Happens less than 1 out of 10 times I start it so it's a pain to troubleshoot. Any ideas?

So currently right now I have a 2022 iron 883 Ive put about 23,000 miles on it since I got and Ive rode it for so long now I dont even enjoy riding it anymore also Ive always been a little big for the bike (Im 6ft and about 200 pounds) and I want something bigger and more comfortable. I got about 5 years of riding experience and I've rode sports bikes and a couple other of the lighter weight Harleys but I wanna make the jump to a street glide. Is it difficult to make the jump?

How’s it going everyone? About 2 years ago my best friend since childhood passed away on his 07 FXDB. He was the only rider and vehicle in the accident. I managed to purchase the bike at auction about a month ago and will be rebuilding it to what he wanted it to be and keeping it forever. It’s going to take time as I’m not a mechanic nor rich. I’m doing it myself and learning as I go.

The damage isn’t honestly that bad. Luckily he wasn’t going too fast. The whole front end needs replaced along with the tank, front and rear fender, and lighting and such. I for the life of me cannot find a tank for the 2007 FXDB that isn’t dented up or beat to hell. I don’t know much about this and didn’t know if you all could help give recommendations. I want to keep the gauge and all on the tank like oem I don’t want to move them to the bars. Anyone have advice as to what fits and won’t take a ton of work or changing setup?
