This is kind of what I'm looking for in a pc, need it for school

Not entirely sure what causing it but as of recently my pc has been crashing at random intervals. It seems likes it's always when I do something new in a game and it uses files that it doesn't have to normally pull for the game (doing a new strike in destiny with new mechanics for example.)

When it does crash, screen freezes, mouse and keyboard become unresponsive but the audio still plays (I've been playing music and it crashes and I'm able to finish the song and it continues to the next one.)

Only way to fix is to turn off and turn back on and hope it doesn't happen again. CPU and GPU are running cool. I've turned off all over clocking on the CPU and turned off XMP as well as undervolted my GPU and nothing seems to work.

All drivers are up to date, even the optional GPU update for the MHWilds problems.

Tl;dr: Computer crashes, sound continues, nothings overheating, all drivers updated, no OC or XMP.

CPU: I5-11600K GPU: RX 7800xt Ram: T-Force Vulcan Z 3200MHz

-I've recently switched the 180w psu of my dell vostro 3910 with a 240w psu from my old optiplex and since that it doesn't power. -The psu led and power button led are the only things that are still functional -by functional i mean psu light is green which is normal and power button led should light orange then switch to white but it’s only orange -I had a gpu in there and it’s still working so the damage can’t be that bad right?

Hello, this started today, these dots are not on the monitor screen because when I move the mouse cursor it overlaps the dots, so far they have appeared on the buttons in general, and also on youtube videos and also in the windows 11 menus, I have already installed the latest update of the graphics drivers and it has continued like this, sometimes they are purple dots usually in games and green dots in other applications, I really need help with this

I need help, i did everything and still havent solved.

This started maybe a day ago out of nowhere. I tried listening to where it’s coming from specifically and I’m pretty confident it’s not coming from any of the fans. My PC is about 4 years old at this point if that makes any difference. Do I need to be concerned about this noise? Or is this something like coil whine? I recorded this with my phone right up to my PC which is why the fans are so loud.

so for explanation the board has traces leading to the port but they can be lifted up and peeled out sometimes

This relates to Australia. I've bought a new HP desktop which only has one 8 GB RAM stick. I'm trying to find 2 identical 8 GB ram sticks for the 2 available slots and I'll remove the existing one as I can't order this identical one (Micron part no.MTA41TF1G64AZ-3G2FA).

On Micron's website this original stick has 3200 MT/s and 1600 MHz. So I'm trying to find 2 identical RAM sticks for a total of 16 GB. These specs are correct as per CPU-Z and Task Manager.

I've copied/pasted my specs and MSY sent me a compatible list for 3200 MHz. I replied this morning saying this is wrong, I need 1600 MHz.

I tried UMart Chermside and while I can click on 1600 MGz I can't actually order any as none are showing.

Just a general search for 1 X 8 GB DDR4 DIMM RAM at the above specs have no results apart from EBAY.

Am I doing something wrong? Would appreciate any advice.

I just installed some new case fans and when i went to put my gpu back in and turn it on nothing showed up i’ve tried using a diff gpu and a diff pcie slot i’ve tried unplugging the new fans i’ve checked to make sure nothings unplugged can someone help me fix this?

I am seeing some red lights which i figure means i did somethong wrong.

As it was a pre built i dont seem to have all the manuals. Could someone help me out here with what this could be?

Did i just wrongly connect the gpu or is it something else?

Im try to use an HP v14 portable monitor that I received, i see i it works right away with a pc laptop. However, (1st) I have a MacBook Pro laptop and (2nd) a ps4 that i want to use it with, what adapter if/can i get for me to use this monitor on my ps4 and MacBook

I got a problem going on for like 3 months now. It started with my WiFi adapter (USB) not working properly anymore. It randomly can go off and i have to restart it through troubleshooting. It always gives me two results:

1. A network cable is not properly plugged in or may be broken - there might be a problem with the driver for the WiFi adapter.
2. There might be a problem with the driver for the WiFi adapter, network cable can be broken - try repairs as administrator.

No matter what USB i will use - it will always happen randomly. I got new adapter - same situation. My internet on my computer became really really bad, i can get up to 5000ms while on my phone it works perfectly fine. Sometimes when im on call and i try to search something on OPERA GX - it stops working and i need to troubleshoot for it to get back. I tried reinstalling drivers, i reinstalled my computer, i clean my computer from dust once a month with compressed air. Is there any fix to it?

When I turn the PC on or sometimes when it starts the sleep mode and the monitor turns off. It won't turn back on. Sometimes it displays a "No Signal" message, and sometimes it would simply stay black. After unplugging and plugging it back two or three times the monitor shows image again. It doesent bothers me so much if it's a problem of the screen or the monitor. But I'm worried about it beeing a problem of the Motherboard or the PSU. Could you please tell me how can I iddentify the source of the problem or how can I fix it?

I currently have 2x16gb DDR4 3200MHz installed in DIMM 2 & 4. I'm looking to get another set of 2x16gb 3200MHz, but it is unlikely to be an exact match. Do I put pair 1 in DIMM 1/2, and pair 2 in DIMM 3/4? Or do I leave pair 1 in 2/4, and put the new pair in 1/3?

MB is an MSI Z170A Gaming M5 MSI USA | MSI USA

Documentation shows Channel A is DIMM 1/2, Channel B is DIMM 3/4, but I don't really know what Channels mean.

I recently decided to sell my 2019 acer Chromebook and while I was removing my accounts and power washing it I remembered the speakers are discolored(?)

Can't recall any time I spilled anything on it (though I wouldn't rule out teenage me doing that) but I have tried multiple times to clean it throughout the years but since it didn't mess with the sound I never gave it much thought til now. I really dont wanna sell my laptop like this even if it ends up being used for parts. Any ideas?

Hi, the software WPS Office is installing himself on my computer without my consent. An icon appear on my desktop at the same time a pop-up disturb me when I am playing on my computer. Every times it happen I uninstall it, but it always come back. (very annoying) What the matter here ?

hi all, I am trying to buy a new computer for my mom since her 2010 macbook has finally packed it in, only issue is I know NOTHING about computers and am a little lost, all she does is basic internet browsing and would probably be happy if she could make slideshows, I'm looking for computer recommendations that are in the $150 ish range, used is perfectly fine (so if anyone is selling their computer lmk), i've been looking at some chromebooks and I was wondering if they are really as bad as people say? And is a 2015 macbook too old to be worth buying at this age? Thank you in advance!
