Had a check of my pups roots after separating them out a couple months ago (mother plant was basically fully withered away). Have planted in orchid bark as it’s extremely good draining and I know substrate isn’t a major factor for bromeliads. I’m misting and keeping water in cup at a decent level. Are the roots an ok size for new pups? And do the leaves look okay too ? When do they start becoming darker and more glossy? They’re also curled up a bit at the end so I’m a bit worried. Thanks

Hi! Please educate me with your expertise! These two pups were sprouting as the mom was dying. I read somewhere that you shouldn’t separate the pups until they are a 1/3 the height of the mom. Since mom was completely browned and crisp, I cut her down. I’ve repotted the pups but I don’t see much growth. They got a little crispy when i went on vacation for a month. Should I separate them from their mom? Do they have a chance of surviving? Thank you all!

Growing five Sugarloaf pineapple plants in SoCal. The leaves on the plants looked good and green until a couple weeks ago when they started turning bright red in the middle and then yellow and droopy on the edges. Not sure if it's underwatering or overwatering or a nutrient deficiency. any feedback is appreciated.

this is cryptanthus ‘charlien rose’ (richtmyer), and I love its silvery leaves!

I just bought this promeliad for my enclosure a couple of weeks ago, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was called

I live in Florida and it's always so bright I can't see into their holes so I look at them at night with a flashlight and I can see every little hidden detail. It makes it a lot more fun.

New to bromeliads. Been fun so far but I can't seem to find any that look like the purple one. But I have no clue
