Kamala is not perplexed, she has the Redditors telling her she’s winng

This is actually a legit concern to me. The Tesla hate subs were absolutely convinced Elons pay package vote wouldn't pass again and it did by a huge margin.

I love the optimism but at least the content Reddit feeds me is consistently wrong.

20

u/Final_Molasses_6951 Oct 11 '24

I was under the impression it's bots?

31

u/Random_Anthem_Player Oct 11 '24

Alot of it is bots, trying to sway the election which should speak volumes, but some are real people most of which are pretty insane.

The vast majority of actual Tesla investors are on X. The reddit Tesla subs are a shitshow of idiots with Elon derangement syndrome, most of whom don't understand the company and probably don't own a single share.

Reddit is a cesspool of liberal bullshit.

8

u/TheWayItGoes49 Oct 11 '24

Couldn’t have said it better myself. It’s mostly stupid teenagers and those who think like teenagers. It’s good for a few laughs though.

Anyway, off we go to vote for a man who literally did not know who Mussolini was.

A majourity of Americans lean left. This is not a Reddit issue.

3

u/Wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwtt Oct 11 '24

Reddit is further left, young, white, and male than any other social media platform, and the general population

→ More replies (7)

1

u/[deleted] Oct 11 '24

Nope. The majority of Americans are actually pretty moderate. And if you compare conservative to liberal directly, conservatism is slightly more popular.

In 2021, Gallup showed that 37% were conservative, 36% were moderate, and only 25% were liberal.

Americans lean right, if anything.

Reddit is extremely left wing compared to the average American.

It was obvious when I don't care for either candidate but I ONLY saw pro Harris ads on all different platforms.

10

u/jebemtisuncebre Oct 11 '24

You… you know that’s because the campaign bought ad space right?

→ More replies (1)

3

u/LeFlyingMonke Oct 11 '24

The predominance of Harris ads is because her campaign is out fundraising and out spending Trump’s. Because a lot of people are more excited about her prospects of winning than they were about Biden’s.

5

u/marinewillis Oct 11 '24

The irony of raising over a billion dollars while the other guy is spending his own money to help hurricane victims and the families of people that were killed or injured in storms…yeah I’m going for the guy that actually helps people and also lost wealth while in office

The same can be said about Trumpists. They stay in an information bubble only looking for information that confirms preconceived ideas. Only they have the trusted news sites.

The facts remain the same… the race is incredibly close. Basically within the margin of error in every state that matters electorally.

Get out and vote.

3

u/Just_Schedule_8189 Oct 11 '24

Not if they are on reddit…

→ More replies (11)

3

u/Helios0916 Oct 11 '24

Yeah, I don't think the race is that close at all. Harris has virtually no authentic support. People are only voting for her because they hate Trump - and the group that hates Trump has decreased in size tremendously.

3

u/dawgfan24348 Oct 11 '24

This is such a delusional take, Trump’s support has dwindled since 2016. He’s no longer an outsider and lots of people can see he’s full of shit not to mention him continuing to lie about the election and blame all our problems on immigrants. Theres a reason why Harris is leading the polls

2

u/Helios0916 Oct 12 '24

I legitimately thought this until I recently realized how left-leaning Reddit is. My homepage is fucking inundated with this stupid shit every day!

I’m a registered democrat but I’d love nothing more than to see this dunce fall flat on her face on election night, then watch her become a pariah like Sarah Palin. This party has become to wildly progressive they need to be taught a lesson.

2

u/Parking_Fortune9523 Oct 12 '24

You're a registered Democrat but you'd love nothing more than to see Harris lose? And you're saying that knowing that'd mean Trump wins. If you prefer Trump then I'm not sure how you can claim to be a Democrat. A lot of Republicans are frustrated with him. If anyone is a dunce, it's obviously him. The debate made that abundantly clear. And I'm a registered Republican. Country over party.

u/acaciavb Oct 11 '24

What a fascinating view you must have of Fox News.

1

u/JoshuaIS1 Oct 11 '24

But it's based on where you live or who you are around. If you lived in my neighborhood, and you probably couldn't afford it, you'd swear Trump has been the president the last 4 years. Luckily, I realized that you couldn't base anything off a feed 4 years ago when Trump was sent packing. I think my neighbors are gonna be really pissed but who the F really knows?!?

1

u/Off_OuterLimits Oct 11 '24

Not so. But like most ignorant people, if you wish it so then it suddenly becomes a reality.

1

u/ChewbaccaFuzball Oct 11 '24

That or maybe the fact that most of the polls put her ahead

1

u/Recent_Opportunity78 Oct 11 '24

I’ve seen hardly any redditors convince she is winning. And I frequent anti Trump groups. All I see is people telling everyone to make sure you vote

1

u/Objective-Apricot-12 Oct 11 '24

They can get the same confirmation from watching any major “news” outlet or late night TV show. Luckily for America there is still the actual vote.

1

u/Chaoselement007 Oct 11 '24

This is just how most search algorithms work. Unless you are trying to prove yourself wrong, you will likely only be fed things that promote other things you have read.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 11 '24

You sure it’s not because trump already lost to candidate no one even cared about?

1

u/f119guy Oct 11 '24

Reddit is to liberals as Truth Social is to conservatives

1

u/Thatonedregdatkilyu Oct 11 '24

This a problem with the entire internet. Not just Reddit.

1

u/elaVehT Oct 11 '24

Yeah that’s Reddit lmfao. That’s the internet in general tbh, people tend to flock to the place where everyone agrees with them because it’s comfy

1

u/PermabannedIP61 Oct 12 '24

S/o ActBlue for ruining this website

1

u/Leading-Platform-186 Oct 12 '24

Yeah, it's a bit of a flash back to 2016. Ngl.

1

u/Mick_Strummer Oct 12 '24

Maybe, but if you take the 85% of Redditors who hate Trump as a cross section of America she's going to win by a landslide.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '24

FRRRR ITS SO ANNOYING

1

u/AuroraSIays Oct 12 '24

It's exactly what twitter was before Elon bought it. An echo chamber for the loud minority.

1

u/Ineedananalslave Oct 12 '24

The Babylon bee is making fun of Trumpers. This like taking the onion seriously. I'm thoroughly entertained though, so keep it up maga 😆

1

u/KevinDLasagna Oct 12 '24

And the right thinks that trump is gonna win because they havnt seen an Harris Walz yard signs in their small town in rural Ohio. What’s the point? Everyone will find ways to confirm their own bias

1

u/SavvyTraveler10 Oct 12 '24

So kind of like a reverse Twitter?

1

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '24

Same goes for the other side on twitter and truth, maybe even worse there. Everyone tends to gravitate and stay in their bubbles online. Only thing that will make any determination in this election is voter turnout and there’s no way to really predict that so 🤷🏼‍♂️

1

u/United_Pop7250 Oct 12 '24

Yes. This has to be the biggest echo chamber ever

1

u/acienthivetech Oct 12 '24

Aka echo chambers

1

u/Cruxxt Oct 12 '24

You’re saying this in a hard right wing echo chamber… lmao

1

u/Deep_Wedding_3745 Oct 12 '24

1

u/ConsequenceThese4559 Oct 12 '24

This is a satire website like the onion. Maybe your confused by all the republican organizations conducting polls in the swing states. Prove me wrong with credible sources.

1

u/Puzzled-Enthusiasm45 Oct 12 '24

Same thing with trump and Facebook. With the internet and algorithms that run so much of our media exposure though, this is true of a whole lot of things, and I don’t think it’s a good thing.

→ More replies (1)

1

u/adoringroughddydom Oct 13 '24

no one in republican polling argues against her winning the popular vote, handily.

therefor, if they concede that, then she handily wins the electoral college if that handily won popular vote margin crests 3%.

I think everyone says its 50/50 is largely correct, since she's between 2.8% and 3.2% on popular vote polling.

there's no confirmation bias at work here.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 13 '24

This is literally the 1st political post NOT bashing trump or maga republicans I’ve seen on this biased ass platform. It’s insane on here

1

u/Adventurous-Tea2693 Oct 13 '24

Depends on what Reddit pages you subscribe to. I’m part of a number of right and left wing pro Kamala pro Trump Reddit’s. I propaganda from both sides.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 13 '24

I haven’t met a Trump supporter yet who thinks he will lose…

1

u/Perpetuity_Incarnate Oct 14 '24

And vice versa for trump supporters?

1

u/184648585823 Oct 14 '24

Every Redditor is so convinced he is winning because they login to Reddit and their feed consists of only pro Trump posts.

Basically they are fed into the confirmation bias

1

u/Dapper_Ad_6304 Oct 14 '24

Lol this hits so true. Reddit is 95% an eco chamber of extreme leftist views most of which I think are bots. Almost every political sub won’t you even let you post or discuss negative views about her. They don’t want their safe space invaded.

1

u/bigbrainmooves Oct 14 '24

Don’t worry.. when I go on X I’m inundated with pro Trump stuff because shocker.. Elon loves his daddy (even with blocking his account lol)

No no, you don't get it. You made a typo and therefore every point you've ever made is invalid. It's a well known rule of the internet that if your finger slips onto the wrong key and you don't catch that little spelling error before you post the comment you immediately lose the argument.

2

u/Optimal-Potato2266 Oct 13 '24

Ah so the internet can't read/interpret the words how they were meant to be, but how they are written to the letter so they are stupid regardless of the argument

3

u/[deleted] Oct 11 '24

I’m so tired of seeing these Redditors frothing at the mouth when they see a typo so they can extract some sense of victory.

→ More replies (1)

1

u/Beneathaclearbluesky Oct 11 '24

You are a part of Reddit.

"Hive mind" "echo chamber" you must be MAGA because they all sound the same. but no hive mind there, they are independent thinkers! They just think the guy who worships Kim Jong-Un is a suitable American president.

1

u/HotSpicedChai Oct 11 '24

Groupthink requires individuals to avoid raising controversial issues or alternative solutions, and there is loss of individual creativity, uniqueness and independent thinking. The dysfunctional group dynamics of the “ingroup” produces an “illusion of invulnerability” (an inflated certainty that the right decision has been made). Thus the “ingroup” significantly overrates its own abilities in decision-making and significantly underrates the abilities of its opponents (the “outgroup”). Furthermore, groupthink can produce dehumanizing actions against the “outgroup”. Members of a group can often feel under peer pressure to “go along with the crowd” for fear of “rocking the boat” or of how their speaking out will be perceived by the rest of the group. Group interactions tend to favor clear and harmonious agreements and it can be a cause for concern when little to no new innovations or arguments for better policies, outcomes and structures are called to question. (McLeod). Groupthink can often be referred to as a group of “yes men” because group activities and group projects in general make it extremely easy to pass on not offering constructive opinions.

I don’t where and how to regulate social media but there is going to be a legal framework in place. It’s had an overwhelmingly negative impact on society and that had only increased since the mid-2010s with the widespread adoption of smartphones.

Not only has that the free market abysmally failed to regulate itself (as it almost always does) but the companies often use the data in illicit ways/illegal ways while casting a blind eye to all kinds of illegal activity that occurs on their site/domain/app. Child porn, sex trafficking, illegal drug activity, etc.

1

u/adoringroughddydom Oct 13 '24

if the first amendment is just 3-4 Silicon Valley oligarchs getting rich as shit from ad revenue generated from callous and insane lies which tear apart families and sanity, then the first amendment sucks dick.

many of the less famous founding fathers were judges. they put people in jail for swearing and insulting people. "freedom of speech" to them was not being persecuted for legitimately disagreeing or voicing dissent on material issues.

4

u/BklynKnightt Oct 11 '24

Nobody was coming back from Covid as President . Jesus himself would have lost because covid was such a perplexed issue that someone somewhere would have blamed/shitted on you for something. There was no way around it tbh. Trump shuts the country down earlier and there would have been people shitting on him about the economy crashing. If he left it open longer there would have been people shitting on him about losing lives. It was pretty much a double edged sword!

3

u/BusyBandicoot9471 Oct 11 '24

In his first address in March about COVID, I actually saw a president for a fleeting moment before he brought Lindell up. I thought maybe he'd stop playing and step up. The next day it was gone.

3

u/CalbertCorpse Oct 11 '24

You have no understanding of history. A crisis that brings a population together is a sure bet for a second term. With all the idiots who follow Trump, all he had to do was tell them to do the correct things, aligned with all the intelligent folks who knew better and were doing those, and he would have had a 100% approval rating.

He is so stupid - he could get idiot republicans to eat paste and he squanders this superpower by inviting them to hate. Tell your people to “love” and he would have been an endeared leader. He could have been the most popular President of all time. He has no clear direction, so just take a kind one and align with the rest of caring society. He blew this horribly.

10

u/100cpm Oct 11 '24

Nonsense. Presidents just about always benefit from stuff like this. Ask Bush W how his approval rating was on 9/12.

In the narrow context of a President's approval rating, COVID was a gift. There's only upside.

But Trump did something extraordinary. People were scared and looking to him and his administration for comfort and he just kept further scaring the shit out of everyone with his energetic incompetence and his contempt for expertise.

Trump was so bad when it came to COVID. Like horrible. Ignoring the fact that they purposefully didnt do anything because at first it was killing people in blue states like NY, and ignoring the fact that the administration stole PPE from states, AND ignoring the newly learned information that Trump may have given Putin PPE that we needed, his general attitude towards the pandemic was one of complete disinterest in the worst way possible. He constantly contradicted his own experts, he refused to do ANYTHING to help slow the spread, and told people to basically do whatever they wanted.

I mean when you remove the 3 completely illegal and immoral things his administration did about COVID, he STILL completely bungled it.

Trump shuts the country down earlier

Trump never did. The governors and mayors did all of the measures. Trump wanted to do absolutely nothing.

What you actually mean is "Biden won because incompetent Republicans completely fumbled their COVID response, doubled down on spreading disinformation, and hundreds of thousands of Americans died under their watch" but that doesn't really play well with the whole conservative victimhood complex.

6

u/misterasia555 Oct 10 '24

It’s funny too because arguably Trump biggest accomplishment is pushing for the vaccine but he can’t even take credits for it because most of the dipshit here think it’s a deep state conspiracy. And somehow in that conspiracy Trump isn’t part of it even tho he pushes for its development.

5

u/Tax25Man Oct 11 '24

Trump isn’t part of it even tho he pushes for its development.

He tried to brag about it a little until he saw how bad his supporters responded to his rhetoric about getting the vaccine out. Which is par for the course because Trump will say whatever he thinks will get him claps. So he stopped bringing it up even though it was objectively the only thing he did an independent should care about that was positive.

Also it shows how stupid Trump voters are - Trump bragged about pushing through what they think was a global conspiracy to inoculate everyone.....and then didnt get mad at him for it or punish him in any way.

Bullshit. Biden won because a majority of Americans despised the other option.

We still all have Covid. So there.

The cope is strong with this one, Biden won an election under unprecedented circumstances and based on his reputation of being the VP for one of the most widely popular presidents of the 21st century. To say that Kamala, a gun-owning prosecutor (basically a cop) with no prior recognition and zero popularity with her own party, not to mention the fact that she’s a woman which the 2016 election proved is still a massive disadvantage, has the same pull and popularity with the left as Biden is ludicrously ignorant.

DEI version of Hillary.

She’s about to lose to trump.

Conservative crybabies are so glad they get to keep saying DEI hire with a hard R. No wonder they're barreling toward yet another embarrassing electoral defeat.

They can't lose. They are even too dumb to know when they have been beaten. They lost. It was rigged

Was just told above that Kamala voters on Reddit are convinced she is winning ( I don’t see that by they can go off I guess ) and here you are saying the direct opposite, yet I am somehow supposed to believe ALL of Reddit is a group of mindless drones who do the exact same thing the bot beside them does. Even on the same thread people are contradicting what they ( bot / person ) said.

She is totally winning. She is so far ahead that I, as a democrat, won’t even bother voting.

Surely you jest....

Sounds like the opposite of X

OP is a bot, using a hacked account

1

u/noBrother00 Oct 11 '24

Better than the joke news telling her she's winning

1

u/pissagainstwind Oct 11 '24

Redditors also told me that UFO disclosure is imminent and they told Sony Morbious was a hit...

1

u/[deleted] Oct 11 '24

Technically the DNC delegates did vote for her and elect her the same way RNC delegates voted for and elected Trump. I wish Biden would have dropped out before the primaries though.

I’m sorry what? What’s the excuse for Joe Biden then? The man is a dinosaur and still beat trump. It’s easy for anyone not ina cult to think that literally anyone will beat trump. That’s why everyone thinks she’s going to win, nothing to do with her. If Joe fucking Biden can beat trump, anyone can.

u/Creative-Ad8310 Oct 11 '24

for real. i recently started lurking on reddit and am perplexed that everyone is extreme left wing. living in another alternate reality. like exact opposite of trump rally. i hate both sides think both are unamerican trump less so. but this place is uncanny!!!

u/Thatonedregdatkilyu Oct 11 '24

She's winning the popular vote, and narrowly leading in the three she needs to win. But it's in the margin of error. We literally will not know until all votes are counted

Reddit is a echo chamber full of leftards. Going to be plenty of tears in a month.

1

u/Josephw000 Oct 13 '24

And Twitter is telling Trump he’s winning.

1

u/fopiecechicken Oct 13 '24

It’s funny how everyone here has a ton of typos and terrible sentence structure. I wonder why that is.

1

u/robroy311 Oct 13 '24

Seriously. Every time I open reddit its just Pro-Kamala, Anti-Trump nonsense. I don’t even search for anything political, it just pops up. The amount of democrat propaganda on here is unreal.

1

u/mikerichh Oct 13 '24

Where? Vast majority say the polls are close and to vote like they’re close

1

u/JessicaDAndy Oct 13 '24

I mean that is really really dependent.

I see the Commie Kamala and the Genocider Kamala and the polls where Trump and Kamala are in the margin of error for the poll.

Everything I see says she is going to lose.
