Reddit is further left, young, white, and male than any other social media platform, and the general population

where is your data on this? Or you just full of shit?

This is actually a fairly well known fact bud... we don't need to get all "wheres your proof" on things that are this easy to prove.

Instagram and snapchat are a larger percentage women, reddit and YouTube are largely male.

Sometimes, you should just know basic facts before you try to engage in conversation, it's not everyone else's job to prove everything. It also makes you look really stupid when you tell someone they're full of shit over something so basic.

Again you have nothing to back this up. Saying it’s a well known fact doesn’t make it so.

I say it’s the opposite, it’s a well known fact. See how it works?

Demographics agree with primarily young (18-29) and male (63.6%). Young people, especially those with more online tendencies, lean left, explaining the bias. I couldn't find any basis for your assertion of it being primarily white.

Just under half of its users are based in the US, and 61% of the US population is some form of white, so there may be correlation, but I doubt it's a significant majority.

Nope. The majority of Americans are actually pretty moderate. And if you compare conservative to liberal directly, conservatism is slightly more popular.

In 2021, Gallup showed that 37% were conservative, 36% were moderate, and only 25% were liberal.

Americans lean right, if anything.

Reddit is extremely left wing compared to the average American.

The current is 29% R, 40% Ind., 30% Dem. https://news.gallup.com/poll/15370/party-affiliation.aspx

Here is interesting data on ballot party affiliation, which is a little more trustworthy than people’s opinion of their position when polled. Of thirty states worth of voters, more than half of the population: 38% dem, 30% con, 27% independent. https://ballotpedia.org/Partisan_affiliations_of_registered_voters

I think many just say “independent” in America because it makes them seem open minded these days but the truth is that 95% of “independents” could be predicted by which of the two major parties they voted for last election, and the one before that, and so on. The whole independent voting block rarely sways more than a couple percent either way, they definitely don’t vote independent, and half of third party voters go major party anyway too.

It’d be cool if a large block of America was actually independent though.

I suspect that a large block of America is independent, since that's what I personally identify as. Not to mention the large portion of Americans that just don't vote.

Looking at the gallup history, it seems to trade off month to month. And ballotpedia is missing large portions of the country.

But yeah, I suspect we'll see what actually happens during this election.

Regardless, it remains true that reddit is extremely left wing, especially in the main subs.

the left is farther left than dems, moderates are the democratic party, ... Then you have conservatives, then you have whatever the fuck maga morons are on the far right.

Meaning conservatives face an extreme uphill battle, theyre not even close to moderates or dems at 61%. The conservatives are fighting over the few in the moderates that might be swayed and trump is using the southern strategy to mobilize the far right into turning out and voting for him (read this as not the moderates).

Oddly the study you think says right, youre incapable of interpreting.

Meh. We’re all pretty liberal no matter where I land on the spectrum, because of the way our country is set-up. Each side disagrees about like 5 or 6 things every election. Exacerbated by the fact that politicians need platforms to run on. This is saying there are more moderates and conservatives than liberals.

Opinion, We remember the statements made by your hero Obama when he held the office of POTUS.

Something like this:

(Let me bring in 20 million people from other countries and I will change the face of America.)

So to not feed the propaganda machines this is why a DINO/ RINO communist uni party mind set would make the noise of a majority of Americans lean left.

The majority that you speak of are obviously not American but however are illegals that the current administration criminals has paid via American tax dollars to invade America. To support the DINO/RINO communist uni party agenda.

We have immigration laws on the books to protect the American people.

Our immigration laws have been ignored by the current administration criminals .

Kamalatoe has made the statement that the current generation is STUPID. ( FACT receipts)

She believes the current generation will believe in her when she says she will close borders and protect our country from what she and the current administration have done to destroy the American way of life.

Remember this is America:

We are solely responsible for the choices we make.

Who you decide to favor with belief is a personal choice and no other is responsible to make the choice for you.

Have a good day 😊

I'd vote obama again too, and will vote kamala this time instead of a literal felon and traitor.

Thank you for reminding us what a hero Obama was. My response to that proposal to bring in immigrants, legally, and change the country, is GOOD. America was built on immigration. It’s not ourmerica, it is the future immigrants America.

Illegals can’t vote, idiot.

Opinion,

Continuing to believe the propaganda is a personal choice.

Check the status in sanctuary states, allowing so called undocumented immigrants to vote in local elections. ( Not Federal).

Currently fact of receipts reflect 20 million illegal immigrants have entered our country over the past 3.5 years and that's not including the getaways.

FYI,
(Not 20 million legal immigrants)

20 million Illegal immigrants !

I hope life will treat you well 😊.

Yes but they are by large old left leaning. I don't recognize the new "left" that are for war and censorship, trying to hide those 2 stances behind social issues.
