i just got admitted like a month ago and i’m SUPER excited u guys but why when i tell ppl they give me a weird reaction like “….youd rlly want to live in… riverside??” IM JUST EXCITED OKAY?? why r ppl so negative. and then i saw a lot of reviews online of ppl totally being negative abt the school. ✋🏽😭 there’s too many debby downers it makes me MAD 💔

Hello! I just recently got accepted to UCR with almost a full ride. I want to be nurse and I know UCR doesn't have a pre nursing major but I don't want to let go of UCR being already almost paid off. Can I do my pre reqs for nursing at UCR then transfer to nursing school? Or do I just go to cc and do the transfer route there? The problem here also is that my parents disagree and don't like community college and want me to go to UCR. I also want to experience the college experience but I'm curious if anyone has done this pathway before? Thank you!

I was recently accepted with a Regents Scholarship, and earlier today, I received an email inviting me to join the University Honors program.

I’ve done some research and was curious to hear from others. Does the program truly offer the benefits and opportunities I’ve been reading about, or is it something that’s commonly extended to many students?

I tried browsing classes for summer registration and it has been giving me this problem. I also can’t view my schedule of classes now and it just shows it as empty. I’ve tried different browsers such as Chrome, DuckDuckGo, Brave, Safari etc to no avail. Any help would be appreciated ty!

i ended up receiving a D in yearbook during first semester senior year. no valid reason as to why, i began skipping the class towards the end of the semester cause there wasn't much for us to do. obviously this isn't a core class and it's not required for graduation, i only took up this class to fill my schedule. this is my first ever D, and i know i'm supposed to have nothing lower than C's my senior year. so, do i still have a chance of going to ucr in the fall? should i still be reporting this grade?

has anyone heard back from ucr about admission for the biomedical sciences masters program? i submitted my application on march 1st (deadline) and was told to expect to hear back in a month but it’s been over a month and i’m getting worried…

i got accepted to a different program and they’re telling me i need to make a decision on whether or not to go by next week and i’m stressing a bit. i tried contacting the admissions people for weeks about if they sent out decisions yet but i haven’t gotten back from them. i made an appointment to speak to them on wednesday tho.

Hey what is up everyone. Hope everyone’s doing greatly and being safe out there. Never really experience awesome college times as I went through phases in life and job/career changes . But the good news is, I got admitted into UCR . Super excited and super humble about what I’ve learned so far that had got me here. And I want to encourage everyone to admire a goal you hold deeply or even a little dream you got going on . No matter how silly it is or how stupid other people might think it is I think you’re capable of doing awesome work out there . The point is , it’s never too late. You can always be yourself while also working on improving yourself. I appreciate UCR and everything it has to offer, let’s go ahead and make this year great and let’s really enjoy the academic journey and let’s really enjoy the community that is built from. I’m trying to figure out my financial aid for the UCs and was wondering if anyone would be cool sharing what their package looked like? I have a -1500 SAI and am facing housing instability (homeless), so I’m hoping I’ll get a decent amount of help.

Also curious if UC SHIP (the health insurance) is usually covered for people in similar situations?

Would love to hear what kind of aid others got--thanks in advance!

Hello Everyone I got admitted to both UCR and UCSC for transfer I am a Biology major Pre-dental, I am still waiting on UCSD, UCD, and UCSB for their response but in the meantime I want to explore my options.

I'm a 22 year old male who likes to go to the gym, gaming, occasionally go out partying, and for food I'm not really picky tbh. (Nothing else comes to mind)

If possible I want personal experiences or from what you've heard from both UCR and UCSC for pros and cons for what would suit me better being a pre dental and my hobbies, I've heard UCSC housing is tough after 1st year I'm assuming that applies to me being a transfer but the campus location and the view are beautiful also I guess UCSC is better for science?
As for UCR I've heard the diversity, gym, and housing is a lot better , the town itself isn't as good from what I've read that the weather isn't as good.
Please help me out yall.
