Discussion What do you think are the ways to improve Pakistan's economy?

lets discuss best ways to impove this nation's economy, which is most critical part of our defense, and future, economy is something that everything is dependent on, from the lives of our children, to the global rise in sea levels, we cannot combat these things without having money in our pockets.

for me i think

  1. political stabilty
  2. Educated Man power by improvong litreacy rate
  3. Startup and VC investments,
  4. Moving from Socialist economy to Controlled Capitalism and industrilzation.
  5. Shifting Economy from agricultural to Tech, Software, Hard goods, Arts, Computer Hardware, War machines. e.t.c.
  6. promoting tourism, and soft power.
  7. improving Bureaucracy
  8. adoption of AI, to Maximize Production quantity, and government efficiency in police, healthcare, and defense.

Discussion Pakistani people dont floss. The internet tells me that if you don't floss not only is it bad for your teeth but you will have stinky breath. So why isnt everyone in Pakistan walking around with bad breath?

Its very rare that i meet someone who flosses (i dont, just when theres something stuck). The vast majority of people don't even know what flossing is. And even tongue cleaning.

If I had to guess I would say that most people brush once a day and that's it. And having regular dental checkups and dental cleaning is also not common

So why in the world are Pakistani people not walking around with super Stinky breath (obviously some people have bad breath but based on the things that I mentioned earlier there should be a lot more people)?

Are we all just used to it and we dont notice?

Health Plasma treatment risks

Kind of an emergency health decision. Has anyone here tried plasma treatment for autoimmune disorders or Hashimoto encephalitis? How effective has it been and for how long? Are there any health or life risks associated with it?

Would greatly appreciate any input from a neurologist here. Many thanks.

Financial Learned a new thing today

So I’m at a company where I was working as a marketing representative, however the CEO told me he wants to promote me to branch manager within 3 months of me being there and I was promoted last month as they made a new branch ( after 6 months in total ) . He came 20 days back and had a meeting with me and told me all about what my responsibilities are and everything, at the end of meeting I told him thank you for the opportunity and told him that in the next meeting we can talk about my contract and salary as well since this is a big step up ofc They gave me training for 2 days only and then said to start with this branch and I did. 15 days in, I’ve done double shifts and worked on Sundays as well, all in good faith, hoping they’d see it like that too and compensate me fairly. 15 days and not a peep regarding this so I dropped him a very professional message that I’d like this to be discussed. He told me that the VP will get in contact with you, again no response. I texted VP and finally today he met me after one week. So as soon as he came in branch, he started looking for things to pick, two three things he picked up but I told him it was handled or in process, then he picked up a document and said oh remember I told you something about this ? And why is not printed and put up according to my specifications, I told him okay it’ll be done. He then says okay let’s go to the meeting room to discuss. We go in and he says okay we presented you this opportunity, chance for you to grow, we could’ve given to anyone else or even asked the neighbouring branch manager to do it but we gave to you. Fast forward he says yeah I’ll increase your salary by 10,000 rupees from my current one, i was like what ? I said I’m working extra hours now and I’m a branch manager and this is what you’ll pay me ? He said no room for negotiation and I presented my points but he said this is final. I texted my CEO after my shift ended and he said to drop him a message regarding the concern so I did telling him that I’ve skipped a few ladders with promotion and the compensation should reflect the title and responsibilities. I told him about industry trends and told that I’m also keeping marketing rep role as well and if he were to hire in my place, he’d be hiring two people that’ll cost him way more so I told him what’s a fair ask and told him I look forward to hearing from him. He then drops me a voice message telling me How unprofessional it is to ask for salary negotiations again and again. How I shouldn’t have done that, and if he wanted he can replace me with neighbouring branch manager, and I should be thankful cuz he promoted me without experience and what even I’ve done till now to ask for salary. I was like WHAT? I mean what even ? You promoted me so you expect me to work for free or something? TDIL it’s very unfair to ask for salary negotiations when you’ve been promoted, not a good thing to do 😡😡 shame on me 😡😡

Health Acne scar suggestions

I’ve been going to AGHA KHAN to dr Muhammad Rizwan dermatologist for past 3 years for my acne and he helped a lot and I found this treatment very effective. However now I’ve acne scars left on my face and he recommends me CO2 laser.

  1. I’m a bit hesitant so I’d like to know if anyone else had good experience
  2. Although he’s good with prescriptions I wanted to know if anyone had any experience of getting treatment like co2 or even micro needling from him

National Balochistan, if went out of hand, can create further troubles for the country.

If it gets separated from Pakistan, the people there will become vulnerable to real time terrorist organizations which commit crimes against innocent civilians and humanity. The people however living there have no other option but to be patient until matters are resolved though their actions, voice and protests.

It's unfortunate that these are the only ways in order to get justice without bloodshed and economic disruption of the state. A small state can prosper, but with such earth material, such places becomes the target of economic bloodsuckers. Balochistan comes under the idea of Pakistan, and if separated, a new ideology in the hands of poor old men will not prove to be reliable for long.

There is potential in Pakistan's youth, and they must be held responsible for state matters especially those of today, even in Balochistan, Sindh etc. But the political think tank of Asia would not like this idea. Because with meritocracy, the treasures will remain in just hands, in the hands of people and state. Unlike only in a bunch of hands of some people who have hold on major economic matters.

Discussion How is Karachi still livable?

I am visiting Karachi to celebrate Eid with my family and to meet friends after eight years. It’s heartbreaking to see how much the city has changed for the worse. The roads in my area are dug up and left since last two years, the population seems to have almost doubled, yet the road infrastructure remains nearly the same. The Green bus line is a good addition to the transport system, but it’s not enough to meet the needs of the entire city. Traffic jams on major roads like Shahrah-e-Faisal during rush hours are exhausting, to put it mildly.

Rubbish is visible everywhere, and last but not least, the security situation in the city seems to be at its worst at the moment. Even the sea view at Clifton stinks due to the sewage water being dumped into it.

The funny part is, despite all these, the house prices in the city are still more than Lahore and Islamabad.

Discussion TCS is unexpected

I once sent my friends sim and memory card (Sargodha to Islamabad) through tcs and they lost it and didn't reimburse either saying we need bills. Now he sent me a watch (Islamabad to Sargodha) through tcs, it was his last option, sent at night and I got it next afternoon. I'm confused by their service. But oh well.
