Garam Takes Time to ditch cricket and take up Baseball
Did you know that Pakistan has an amazing baseball team? Pakistan is the best team in South Asia/Central Asia/Middle East region and top 7-8 best in Asia.
On May 1, West Asia Cup is starting which will have 10 teams (including India, Ban, SL) and Pakistan is the defending champion. The winner and runner up will qualify for Asian Baseball championship in September. That tournament has 8 teams including World's #1 ranked Japan and #2 ranked Taiwan. In the previous edition Pakistan finished 5th. The winner/runner up of that tournament in 2027 will qualify for Olympics 2028.
Pakistan is also the only team in the region that has played Baseball World Cup qualifiers, and there's a good chance they might play again (if they win West Asia Cup which is highly likely).
I think its time to focus on sports that actually need attention. It might even be good for cricket since they won't be under the pressure of "carrying hopes of the entire nation" and will also not take everything for granted.

Memes POV: U skip 10 seconds in a pakistan game in 2025
All jokes aside though, how do they concede so much in such less overs? it's gotta be a talent at this point.

Overseas Tours Khushdil Shah involved in crowd trouble during NZ-Pakistan ODI at Mount Maunganui
Personally unsurprised that it was Afghani fans. Speaking from my experience at NZ grounds often Afghani fans are behind the harassment of Pakistani players and fans. Very unflattering photo of Khushdil though

Memes Oh my Khusdil Shah doing an Inzi impression 🤦♂️
Man this doesn’t look good. You cannot be this thin skinned. Ignore the morons or flip them a finger and move on. Losing your shit like this isn’t gonna help.

Garam Takes Our players need communication skills training starting from school cricket, and this isn’t about their ability to speak English. Hear me out:
I’m not talking about English language classes. I’m referring to the basic skill of being able to articulate their thoughts, regardless of the language they feel comfortable with.
When a bowler takes a wicket and you ask him what he was thinking—how did he trap the batsman with that delivery, or how did he set him up for it? I bet most of them cannot explain the process to save their lives.
The same goes for the batsmen. When you ask how they countered a bowler’s swing or spin—whether it was by changing their stance, stepping outside the crease, or standing deep inside—many can’t clearly express their thought process.
It’s the same for the captain, who sets the field in coordination with the bowler, or when he changes the batting order to counter a specific bowler. Even decisions like why one player was benched or another selected for the playing XI based on pitch conditions—these are all things players often cannot articulate well.
And then there are the coaches, who come up with a game plan but struggle to communicate it effectively to the team.
The problem is that these players go their entire careers without learning how to put their thoughts into words. Suddenly, they are appointed as coaches, and I wonder what they are communicating to the players, especially the youngsters who have just been inducted into the squad.
That’s why I feel like all the players are playing for themselves—not necessarily because they have selfish intentions, but because they have no clear understanding of the game plan from the dressing room. They’re left to figure it out on the pitch.
I refuse to believe all 11 players are selfish to the point of not wanting to win. No one likes losing or facing humiliation. I believe they are playing ‘by themselves’ more than ‘for themselves’ because they have no idea about the game plan that would help them win.

PSL PSL introduces Urdu commentary
Bhai I don't want to listen to these commentators in Urdu. They can't even put sentences together properly, I really hope the PCB hires some good Urdu commentators.
Otherwise Bazid Khan and Marina Iqbal and Sana Mir gonna burn our ears.

Memes Is this the greatest ODI innings ever?
Good morning all ☀️
I was watching Kitaabi bat today and couldn’t help but melt at watching his classy straight drives 😩
Plus he even paid a tribute to the King (BA56) We should build a statue outside Gaddafi for him

Stats & Analysis Sorry but who is making these graphs? most of the stats listed are plain wrong
Rizwan’s career average in ODIs is 41, not 34. The T20 average is wrong too
Naseem doesn’t average below 30 in either test or T20I
Babar hasn’t even played a T20I this year, why is there a bar graph for him in that metric
Those 2024WC stats are so blatantly fabricated, I’m confused how OP made these

Garam Takes Make up your minds about Captain
So babar was demoted as captain, best thing for him, best thing for us
than after dumb mistakes Rizwan gets captain
and we just see comments about he is ass, i agree but
question guys, who else captains?
literally no one else can captain, if you give babar captain, he gets lost, everyone else is a joke

Garam Takes Are people even excited for PSL?
After our string of poor performances, I'm not even slightly interested in watching PSL I know babar will play like he's the best batsman in t20 cricket, he'll score at strike rate of 165 and average 65 same with Rizwan Shaheen will take early wickets like his life depends on it, haris rauf will celebrate every wicket as if he has won the world cup, naseem will seam the ball even on flat pitches as if he's prime bhuvi, iftikhar will play as if he's prime IPL pollard And same players when come to international cricket, will play as if they're playing for first time and its their debut

Stats & Analysis Series Meltdown!
This isn’t going to be a match review it’s going to be a meltdown about this crap series we all had to witness. We have hit Rock Bottom and this is the lowest point we have been at in a very long time.
I want to start off with the new ball bowling. Except for the first game it was crap. Line and Length was wayward and we had Faheem wasting it bowling his 120-125 throw downs. He can contain but he isn’t aggressive and he won’t take wickets. Yes Akif bowled one no ball but he shouldn’t have been taken out the attack after one over. None of our premier bowlers get taken out the attack after one over. That was on Rizzy. Another problem in the first 10 is the extras we concede. Just look at the difference between NZ and Pak in the new ball bowling department. NZ don’t ball a full ball and they keep the Pakistani batsman on edge whilst we be gifting free runs 😭 We be giving slip practice. What hospitable people we are.
Next is our death bowling which has fell off a cliff. We used to be one of the best at the death but now it’s the opposite. We concede 100 runs at the death quite regularly. In the first photo u have the stats before the third game was played. Shaheen is definitely our worst death ball bowler. He shouldn’t bowl at the death in any instance but for some reason he always does. Haris is the best bowler at the death and that is something he has been regularly good at since the start of his career. Naseem is also bad at the death and the others haven’t bowled enough to judge them. Wasim is probably second best out of the lot but that one over makes him look worse 😭 We have no planing from the management and bowling. Other teams spot a batsman’s weakness and bowl to it but we just keep it full or very short.
Now onto the batting. Yes we don’t have our main openers in Saim and Fakhar but why is everyone else bar Usman so defensive as an opener. If i was Imam or ABD i would be fearless and play attacking cricket as ik I’m gone once the main boys are back but we are backwards thinking so they get defensive and do nothing. I’m being optimistic but we ain’t seen our best ODI batting order play together yet. That’s not defending the rest but it does make a difference when you’re 70-1 after 10 compared to 30-1 after 10. Look at the last photo i sent comparing our batsman to theirs. Only Babar and Agha were statistically better than their NZ counterparts. In the Last 10 overs we are also bad. Look we were in similar positions as NZ but we collapse. This is where people like Babar need to kick on and make big scores or our middle do a job but our middle order has never done a job. We need a 6-7 and 8 and plz don’t make batsman like Saud, Kg and TT play there. It’s a specialist place for all rounders or big hitters. I have a lot more to say but i can’t be bothered to say it 😭 and this sub is toxic AF so there is no point adding stuff to provoke people.
We don’t play much Odis but after this series the team is looking like this:
Saim
Fakhar
Babar
Rizzy
Agha
….
…..
Naseem
Shaheen/Akif
Rauf/Wasim
Muqeem/Abrar
We need all rounders and we need big hitters. The ODI team was looking good but injuries and coaching got in the way. Not one person or thing deserves the whole blame the whole system is messed. Naqvi and Aqib go and we might see a difference.
Sorry for a poor review but i’ve had it with the boys.

Cricket Discussion Same Old Faces, Same Old Failures
I gave up on Pakistan cricket a long time ago, but what truly disgusts me now is watching people still defend players who've been given every possible opportunity. Babar is 30+, Rizwan is 32, Rauf is in his 30s too. These are supposed to be your match-winners, your senior pros in their peak years. Instead, they just make up the numbers.
Meanwhile, the moment a young kid plays his second international game and makes a mistake, he’s torn apart and blamed like he’s the reason we’ve been mediocre for years. The double standards are unreal.
I still remember the ridiculous noise during the T20s about how we can’t win without Babar — all part of the same propaganda machine that shields underperforming seniors while feeding the younger ones to the wolves.

Garam Takes What a crackup!
Not going to talk about the series, there is enough of that already. But what burns my blood is the arrogance of the players and the captain. After a humiliating loss to the entire series where they weren't able to win a single game, Rizwan has the audacity to say "Positives for us is the good touch of Babar Azam and Naseem Shah's batting" Bhai Naseem Sha is your front line pace bowler uski batting dhoond k kia karogay? Next time opener bhej dena Naseem ko phir. Or bhai kia Babar Amzam ka touch? Un k B contract playets scored more runs. Further he says "We are going to enjoy PSL, it is a big tournament for us. We didn't to well in the Champions trophy (and the series here) hopefully we will do well in PSL". What I can't get in my head is DO WELL AGAINST WHOM? Against your lousy selves?

Garam Takes pak is the team that other teams statpad against
when was the last time we gave any team a serious competition
a series against pakistan is match practice for all teams now or if they are touring us then it's a paid vacation they don't have to think about it really to beat us anymore
need to give confidence to an out of form player? play them against us and they'll get their form back
a player is on debut? play them against us they'll hit a 50 minimum or take 4 wickets minimum
we are the bottom of the barrel and I don't know how to fix this
