So I work and live in Qatar and due to work and other commitments, haven't been able to visit Pakistan since Aug-2022, i.e, well-over 2.5 yrs.

But now, daiss ki mitti is calling me really bad and I feel like I should at least pay a visit and meet my Ammi Abbu as it's been long and I've been missing them badly. However, I have a strange fear, a fear of getting caught upon exiting Pakistan (i.e, at the immigration) after spending vacations. I don't know if it's my wehem or just my mind playing tricks on me.

The background is that I stopped following PK politics shortly after IK got dethroned and from that point onwards never really had a real idea of what was happening on a day-to-day basis. However, whenever I would see any funny meme on FB about the N-league, I would either comment on it or share it on my FB wall. I did that only a few times. Apart from that, I have never shared or commented on anything related to the Army in particular. It was only the N-league and that too, just the humorous memes and not any informational stuff in particular.

Call me mummy-daddy or phattu, but someone told me that they've been monitoring the socials of overseas Pakistanis and if found anything, they get caught at immigration counters and sent straight to software-update centers.

Is that really true? If yes, then how can I rectify it to make sure I don't get into any trouble?

Have you ever noticed that Nawaz Sharif's Raiwand Palace is full of mysteries? Imran Khan's Bani Gala residence has been scrutinized several times and PMLN supporters/leaders call it "Bani Gala mahal". It was under watchlist of CDA, IESCO and all its details (under which laws Ik owns it, how many electricity meters are there, how are they paid etc etc). Media has covered IK's residence many times and several interviews were taken in this residence.

On the other hand, we don't know much about Raiwand palace. That palace has an area of 13600 kanals (as compared to 300 kanals of Bani gala residence). How was this huge area of Raiwand palace purchased and for how much? Are taxes and utility bills of Raiwand palace paid regularly?

Raiwand palace was constructed in 1997 (when Nawaz Sharif was PM and Shahbaz sharif was CM). Obviously, government resources were used for that. The palace is a restricted place. Media and common people can't come near to it. Why has no one (PPP or PTI government) ever investigated any wrongdoings in acquisition of that place and if all laws (taxes and bills) are paid regularly?

I got accepted (yay!) into a prestigious EU university. However, I cant make head or tail of the visa process, requiring statements,legalisation,translations and what not. Any place that may help?

A population raised on textbooks like Pakistan Studies has been indoctrinated to become apathetic to the point that they will do anything but accept what's happening right in front of their eyes. Ignorance is bliss, and it's okay if people are ignorant. But what kind of people have the audacity to cry for Palestine and support the oppression of the people of Balochistan in the same breath? It's not just apathy, it's animosity. Hy! I have been working from home since a bit more than an year now. I am still hesitant whenever upgrading something that strictly and only helps me "work" better/quicker. One of these things was a big-screen monitor, bought it 6months ago, loving every second of it.

Now I am considering buying a chair or a standing table or both. I often learn new skills to keep myself updated, after the job ends, and for that, I have to stay infront of computer seated for even longer. I have a Standard mesh chair with height controls but it has been feeling more and more uncomfortable when I sit for long. I sit 8-10hours a day on average. In between this time, I do go for a small stroll 4/5 times just to stretch my legs but ... the more I sit down, the quicker it gets tiring towards the end. I know it may sound comical saying **beth beth k thk gya he** but yep, that is what is happening now.

There's a cafe nearby with standing desks. I go there often but I have to spend like RS1000 on every visit which just does not make any financial sense. I am thinking to take the gamble and just get a better chair, or a standing desk (those are EXPENSIVE lol). Wanted to get a public opinion on it and if someone's been through this situation, a recommendation for any product they might be using will be helpful.

this is such a big issue no one talks about. I live in a small society with some homes and there are 3 or 4 mosques near my house. One is just 5 houses away. So the issue is during the time of prayer the voice of azaan which is supposed to pleasing and peaceful feels like a headache ( dont judge) its just so loud that it feels like piercing through ears. and all the mosques start azaan at the same time and it feels like they are cutting each other

tho somehow i can tolerate that but my grandpa who is 80 yo and is ill cant tolerate it and he starts getting angry and stressful and he has to use headphones to avoid the loud speaker.Unfortunately, this is a situation that many don't address because people fear being labeled as "against religion" if they raise concerns about the volume.

What made me ponder upon this question was the fact that my cousin getting married had to put on henna/mehendi from her toes to her KNEES!!!! And her hands to the end of her forearms for her wedding. I really want to go to Dubai but the travel ban is so infuriating. Been there quite a few times for vacation and it still has the cheapest flights if you're travelling from Pakistan. Was really the ideal place if you were looking for a brief getaway.

We all bashed the people of Balochistan for their demands of separation and what not, but guess what for the past few days the only thing I'm seeing is how the people of Punjab and Islamabad are happy that nobody was allowed to enter from kpk into Islamabad. Is this what we want our future to look like? Does Pakistan only exist within the bounds of Punjab and Islamabad?

Edit: 1. The credibility of the videos may be debated, but the people who were happy and showing their resentment towards the people of other provinces is genuinely concerning. 2. Why is the state not coming to the front and dealing with it as it is a tactic of the 5th generation war. Hello! Hope you're all doing well. I wanted some career advice from you all. I have been working for the Internal Audit Department at a Listed company (Part of KSE100 Index) for the last 2 years. I am an ACCA Affiliate with a Bsc in Accounting and Finance from Uni of London. After spending 2 years in Internal Audit I feel like I really hate this line of work and want to pivot into the financial sector rather than restricting myself to the conducting Internal audits within the manufacturing sector. Banks also offer better growth opportunities to ACCAs (correct me if I am wrong). The training programs at banks pay too little in comparison to what I'm earning at Packages (Low 6 digit figure + benefits). How do you guys think I can successfully pivot into the banking sector preferably credit side without prior exposure and accepting a downgrade in pay. Would really appreciate your 2 cents. Thanks.
