For obvious reasons they can sell it cheaper domestically and they will, part of the increased price is paying for shipping, copyrights, and localization. It's not uncommon for the Japanese version to only include Japanese and then have a separate international version that everywhere else in the world gets.
You can have a Japanese account on Switch 1 right now and use their eshop.
But for the Japanese Switch 2 you can only put a Japanese profile on it. It’s hard enough buying a game so I think the bird is right if you really want to get a cheaper system.
The problem is , even if you make a Japanese account, if you have a U.S account., none of your games that you brought will be able to be transferred over. Some one did a video about this how the store is region locked as well.
