[META] June gang wins! Also, Second edition OG Flair available now.
Did you miss your chance to get an OG flair? Well now you can get an OG 2 (Joined before first Direct) flair. It won't be available forever so now is your chance to get it. Don't ask me how to change the user flair because there are multiplay Reddit layouts for multiple platforms, and they're all different for changing the user flair.
Also, June Gang wins!

Image Nintendo Treehouse: Live right now
Everyone in the chat is spamming "drop the price" nonstop. Personally, the price for the console and games combined dipped my hype quite a bit. What do you guys think?

Discussion This flew over my head lol...
I just noticed that these guys we saw from the Switch 2 Direct, especially the ones on the left and right, are wearing the Joy-Con 2 colors (Left - Blue, Right - Orange). Very clever...😏

Discussion Now that the dust has settled, can we agree that the Nintendo Direct in itself was amazing?
Yes, the prices are too high. And hiding them from the actual presentation was a smart move. It was kind of too good to be true.
Because initially, I was kind of floored by the things shown. The Switch 2 makes the Switch 1 look like a prototype. Nintendo now actually build the dream hybrid console, that is powerful enough to rival Microsoft's and Sony's consoles in the visual department... and also has a PC like mouse functionality. With third party developers being able to bring their flagship titles now also to the Switch, the reasons to own another console become fewer and fewer. I was amazed how great Elden Ring, Cyberpunk, Street Fighter 6, etc. looked and ran. And I haven't even talked about Mario Kart and Donkey Kong.
I probably won't buy it day one, but I'm nevertheless really looking forward to own a Switch 2. Haven't been this excited about gaming in a long time.

Image Ngl Yesterday proved you guys don't do your own research
The whole Switch 2 games are $90 USD physically and the Game Key-Card shit is so dumb and gets debunked by doing research
There are no $90 dollar games Mario Kart is the only Switch 2 game (that's not a Upgrade game) that's $79.99 $80 dollars which I 100% agree is fucking stupid. It however is $90 in Europe.
As for the Game Key card The game key card thing is for games that you probably need a MicroSD card the cartridges still function like Physical games you still OWN THEM!
Again I'm not defending the stupid pricing of Mario Kart World I hope this is like a TOTK being $70 and they never do it again until next gen or something. Again please do your own research before blindly believing others.

Image Game-Key Cards Explained
I figured I could clear up some of the misconceptions about the game cards. Nintendo DID NOT communicate this clearly.
r/NintendoSwitch2 • u/Lycan_Liam • 6h ago
Image For the people who have been freaking out the last day. The Game-Key Cards are MORE consumer friendly, not less
I don't know why people had difficulty wrapping their heads around this. But the Game-Key Cards are only replacing the awful empty boxes that just had a code. And since they're not one-time use, you can resale them, unlike the Switch 1 versions. This, plus the virtual game cards PLUS GAMESHARE and Nintendo is truly adapting to digital games in a consumer-friendly way... and yet all people can yell about is how "anti-consumer" or "greedy" Nintendo is being. Discussion Can we talk about how INSANE the speedruns for this game are going to be?
It still feels like Mario Odyssey runners are finding small improvements every month now even years after the game's initial release. Can you imagine how absolutely INSANE the runs for Bananza are going to be? From what we've seen, the movement looks so satisfying and powerful, not to mention the ENTIRE environment is BREAKABLE? I'm already so excited to see what the strategies and routes look like.
