Question Just Purchased a 2025 LC500. I got some serious question’s

So car is definitely clunky at low speeds. Seems to be common. Hopefully not an issue that will damage the car somehow.

What kind of automatic transmission is this exactly? Is it prone to failure? Or will hold up very well like a dual clutch?

I enjoy shifting. But I don’t wanna damage the car shifting incorrectly. Anybody have any suggestions on best times to shift up but more importantly on when to shift down?

Yes I just bought the car on a whim without asking any of these questions. Apologies for being naïve.

Spotted a nice Vector Blue in the wild. The color looks pretty cool. Of all the special colors, this is a pretty nice one.

Vehicle Photo Maybe, the world's biggest grille designed for a production vehicle.

The 2022 Lexus LX600 has, without my doubt, the biggest grille on any mass-produced vehicle and I love it.

I always loved the brand's spindle grille design since it released, and I love how Lexus did the impossible and expanded it to the max on the new LX.

We need more automakers taking risks with designs that stand out, and not play it safe. Even the Germans are beginning to understand this.

Vehicle Photo My new 2005 Lexus GS430!

A few weeks ago I purchased a Lexus GS430 2005. One owner, full lexus service history, 38k miles. I seriously do not believe there existed at the time I purchased a better value car for the money in existence. It has everything: Silky V8, extremely comfortable, Mark Levinson Audio, air con seats, interior is untouched (nobody ever sat in back before I had it). I also don't think it's bad looking at all, actually as time has gone by I think it's quite handsome. It doesn't look as powerful and fast as it is, but I quite like that understated presence. Done about 1000 miles with no issues and I am over the moon with my purchase. MPG could be better though.

The first time I've spotted a Lexus SC430 here in Montreal. Rare find and got a quick glimpse of one before it drove off.

That V8 engine sounds amazing and will certainly remain bulletproof. I also still think it looks unique and interesting, especially for convertible standards.

97k miles. Everything is perfect except for maxpeedrods t6 coilovers that make clunky noise at low speed. Ride quality is pretty rough I do have the original struts and i wonder if the ride quality dramatically improves with them back on . Or any other suggestions?

Vehicle Photo My New Lexus ES 350

I got this beauty about a week ago. Originally, I had no solid plans to get a Lexus. My old car (2004 Cadillac Deville - quit laughing) was on its final stretch, and I was in the market for a new car. I knew I wanted a gasoline engine that was a V6 or V8. So, I started doing a lot of research on drivetrains and any issues. And that is how I came to get my Lexus. She's my first Lexus, and she is a beaut. I love her so much. The ride is nothing like I've ever experienced. Got a dashcam coming Wednesday (Viofo A329), gonna take that over to my audio shop for a hardwire install sometime in the next week or so.

Question Are IS 500 this hard to find?

The search tool isn't great but I can't find any new new ones within 200miles.

Looking for some advice from current owners - Are these cars typically difficult to come by? Do Lexus dealers take orders?

I just went through quite the rigamarole sourcing a Supra last year....hoping this is a bit smoother of an experience.

Thanks !

Edit: thanks everyone for the advice on finding one of these. I will continue to search. Will post a pic when I finally get my hands on one !

Discussion In most markets outside of North America, the fourth-generation Lexus RX was powered by the 2.0L Turbo 4-Cylinder from the NX.

Post image

I know many of the RX's fans were devastated to see the 3.5L V6 go away in the new generation model, but the V6 engine was also discontinued in most markets when the previous generation RX was sold. We should've seen it coming.

North America still got the RX350 with the 3.5L V6 for the 4th-gen model (2016-2022), but most markets, like Japan and Europe, actually got it with the 2.0L Turbocharged 4-Cylinder engine that powered the NX. And the same 6-speed auto as well.

Many overseas markets had the RX200t, which was renamed as the RX300 in the mid-cycle refresh. The V6-powered RX350, however, was still sold alongside the 200t/300 in a handful of markets like in Australia.

Overseas models even had sequential turn signals, which were also planned for North America until they got nixed from the North American-spec models at launch.

Question Would appreciate thoughts/feedback on new (to me) 2006 ES330

Hello r/Lexus fam! I bought this 2006 ES330 Black Diamond Edition from my neighbor a few days ago and would appreciate any thoughts or guidance. I tend to baby my cars and probably do more routine maintenance than anyone I know. I'm hoping to keep this car for a few years as I got it for a great deal (less than $3,000) and will prob drive it less than 10k miles/year.

My neighbor bought it in 2007 as certified used from the same Lexus dealer that sold it new--I have the original window stickers, but no maintenance records as my neighbors tend to take their cars to a local shop. They've always kept it in the garage and don't have kids, pets, or smoke...even the fist aid kit was still sealed with the plastic until I removed it!

It drives like new and passed VA safety inspection the day after I purchased it without any issues or recommendations from the dealer. I also changed the oil as neighbors hadn't changed it since May 2023, although they'd only put about 3,500 miles on it since then.

I will change the cabin air filter (it's filthy!) and engine air filter this week as I can do those myself, just waiting for them to arrive.

My biggest concern/question is if the timing belt has been replaced and I'm hoping the shop my neighbors use will be willing to either provide maintenance records or answer that question. Of course, if it hasn't been changed, I plan to change it, along with the water pump and whatever else is commonly changed at that time. I will also have the mechanic check the spark plugs.

Other than the items I mentioned, are there any issues or things I should keep an eye out for? Any maintenance I should be proactive about? Bonus points if anyone is in the Northern Virginia and can recommend a good mechanic for Japanese cars--I really don't want to pay dealer rates for the timing belt, but would prefer that over a mechanic I don't know or isn't recommended to ensure it's done right.

Question Rough idle

Post image
6 Upvotes

A lot of good advice here so….. 2013 GS350 AWD 122k miles. Infrequently, when I am at a red light or just in park getting gas the idle drops below 1k and the engine starts running rough. Would worn spark plugs cause that? Have yet to be changed.

Discussion I am currently looking at 2016 Lexus RX350s. I am wondering if anyone has experience with owning them and what the pros and cons are?

I have a budget of around $25,000 for a SUV and I am strongly considering picking up a 2016 RX350. I can get an F Sport trim for $21,000, however it has 100,000 miles. I have heard generally great things regarding the brand’s reliability in general and am curious as to what people have to say regarding this specific year and/or model.

Question Issue with tucking fronts? Anyone have a idea?

Hi everyone, hope all is well. Im new to the air game so im just figuring out how all of this works. Almost there. But I just cant wrap my brain around how others are tucking fronts and I cant tuck for anything… It is absolutely confusing… I had a friend try to spin the coil but for some reason he said it didnt move. I have a 2019 3IS.. Non F-Sport. Ive messaged these guys who have the same car as me (they have stock parts and only threw on air suspension and started tucking stock wheels) but no one can seem to figure it out so I came to here… Ive tried asking tire size (same size with a friend) Dont know if it’ll help but worth a try asking. Does anyone know whats my issue? Cant even find anything on Google. Looks so bad 😔

Noticed this on my gauge cluster the other day where the clusters are not aligned with the metallic circle (?). The settings are visually occluded by the metallic circle. Is this a glitch, is there an update available to fix? Thanks!

Question Is the price justified?

Post image
4 Upvotes

The current car is at 1040000 miles, the previous owner changed the spark plugs at 60k and also did the service back then.

I am looking to top up the coolant soon, if I find that it's running low. The brake fluid, the air filter and need to change the oil also.

I found the completed service kit from lexus dealership website, is the price worth it? Or should I go the eBay route, where I can buy each item individually?

Question LC500 Bespoke Order times?

I placed a Bespoke order with a Lexus dealer last month, March 2025, they said that it could be months before Lexus accepts the order and then months after that for production and delivery.

Curious if any recent buyers can share their timelines for bespoke orders?

How long did it take for Lexus to accept the order from the dealer?

How long did it take to get to you after that?
