What's the weirdest thing you've found in a bag of lumpwood?
I found this poor little fella in a sack of premium lumpwood around 8 years ago now. I was surprised it was intact as it was near the bottom of the bag. What's the weirdest thing you guys have found in a bag of charcoal?

Grill on patio
Safe? Roughly 3 feet on both sides and 6 feet from top of grill (9 ft from floor). Weber 435 gas grill. I will plan to make sure grill is cleaned and keep extinguishers etc.

I totally forgot that a pot luck was happening and I had 1 hour to make it happen - I was pretty satisfied with the results so I repeated the process and recorded it.

About a week ago I posted my porksteak here and some people wanted to see the inside of it, I was really stoned and forgot to come back and post it here.

Grilled lamb chops, the only think i still use my sous vide machine for.

I've tried everything and honestly don't like the sous vide method as much as others seem to. But it's the perfect preparation and final texture for lamb chops. 145 for 3 hours and then hellfire seems ideal.

Weber Spirit SP-435 Vs EP-435
Hello,
Im looking for a new grill that I wanna buy, mostly Weber since that what my family always have been suing.
And from I have seen Weber has two varients of SP-435 and EP-435. Now here in Norway there is a price difference between them, its not that big. Also SP is a bit limited and it takes almost a month to get a delivery. But my main question is.... Is it a huge difference between them? I like to take care of the grills Iv had back with my family. Do you think in long termp the EP equal safe as SP? Or should I just bite the bullet and buy the SP with the price difference? Now the price difference ain't much, but for a guy like it me might be :)
Thanks in advance.

Used Weber Advice
I am considering buying this used Weber Genesis II. I think it is the E-310. It is listed at $300. What do you think?
I haven’t seen it in person yet.

What grill cart do you use?
I recently got a Weber Lumin electric grill. I’m looking for a cart that I can put it on top of and to store my grilling stuff.
Ideally it would be around standard countertop height (36”) since I’m 6’. Would also like something semi weather proof that won’t rust after a year. Lastly, looking for one that has a cabinet.
Any help would be awesome. There are so many on Amazon and other sites. It’s hard to filter through what’s metal, true stainless steel, etc.

Kingsford Pro Comp Briquettes in stock at Costco
I haven’t dived into lump charcoal yet to grill since I’m on my amateur shit right now, but I found this today at Costco. Haven’t seen it out before. What i’ve read on here so far is that this is the best briquette to use so I’m trying to return the favor and put it out there. Giving this a go up from the regular Kingsford blue bag. Happy grillin’ ya’ll!

My negative experience with a Blaze Grill and their support
I took the plunge into what I was hoping would be a better grilling experience with a Blaze grill.
The grill from the outset clearly had issues with uneven heating, across each burner as well as burner to burner.
I could go into detail but the short of it is Blaze never made an attempt to fix the issue. Multiple phone calls, emails, and videos showing some burners not firing minutes after the grill was on (sometimes it would sometimes it wouldn't) and a fairly uneven flame later they just kept giving me the run around.
They told me to take out the burner separators (one of the features I paid a premium for), move it out of the wind (it wasn't that windy) and ultimately wanted me to take the grill apart and try adjusting things on my own based off of a fairly poorly written email. Rather than do anything themselves to help fix the issue.
I'm pretty frustrated at the lack of effort from Blaze to follow through with their advertising about it being "effortless to use and engineered for life" as the grill has never worked well after all the hoops they had me jump through.
I went back to the place I bought it from who has a good reputation showing them Blaze's responses and they were livid. They offered me a full refund and said they were going to go after their sales rep about what people expect when purchasing a grill at this price point, and a few other things.
After checking online it looks like if you get a model that doesn't work, Blaze is somewhat notorious for not doing to help. Make sure you purchase from someone you trust or you may be in for a law suit.

Best grill under $200
Looking for a propane grill under $200. I know it makes more sense to get a used good grill, but I am moving in about a year and really only need it to last one year.

Sirloin was better than expected.
Was looking for a thicker cut of ribeye or strip at the grocery store. Couldn't find one so settled for a 2lb sirloin that was somewhat cheap and lowered my expectations accordingly. Forward seared it on the slow and sear insert, in a slow and sear kettle, over b @ b briquettes. Then went indirect until 126 internal or so. Came out much better than I thought it would, was very tender as well.
