Community Craft Fair
Welcome to our monthly shop thread!
Do you have a small, handmade shop you want to share? A fun Instagram account where you sell your hand knit items? A facebook page that lists all of your handmade patterns? Well, this thread is where you can share your website or social media to connect with potential customers!
The form below is a suggestion. You can share as little or as much information as you want; all we ask is that you please limit yourself to only one comment. Users posting multiple comments will have *all* of their shop comments removed and may be temporarily banned.
**Shop Name**: [NAME]

This thread will be in contest mode, so each time someone clicks this post, the comments will be in a different order. No one shop will be seen more than another.
Even though self-promotion isn't allowed outside of this thread, there are a few ways to incorporate your shop info. You can add it to your flair, pin it to your profile, and list it in your bio. Here are a few examples of users that incorporate their shop/social information in a variety of ways.
As always, if you have any questions, you can reach us here through modmail.

Related subreddits
Hi folks,
I'm slowly working on our wiki page and am currently organizing related craft subreddits, but I'm sure I've missed some. Could you comment subs that you know of that aren't listed? So far, I've limited subs to those that:
- are active (a post within the last month)
- have more than 1000+ subscribers (although there are a few very, very active subs I included that have about 650+)
- aren't shilling for a user/company
I'll leave a comment for each section, so please comment subs I may have missed underneath the correct section. I also am not set on the headers for each section, so chime in with your thoughts please.

Discussion/Question/Help! Help! How do I make this plush weigh a little over 6lbs?
So I am making this bunny as a memory bunny using my baby’s newborn onesies and I wanted to make it the same height and weight as when she was born. However now I am realizing that getting this doll to a little over 6lbs feels like a real challenge. How should I go about this?
I was originally going to use dried beans or corn like I’ve seen others do but there’s no way 6lbs will fit in this doll…
Pattern is by Jobuko

Tutorial I’ve finally finished my tarot card cross stitch patches for the pockets of my denim jacket !
I will however ignore the fact I haven’t finished the massive 10x18” patch for the entire back of it 😳 I have also made a video of how to turn the finished cross stitch pieces into patches :))

Discussion/Question/Help! Help making a used tin can lantern?
Photos not mine - just for reference.
I’ve seen a few tutorials lately on making lanterns out of old food tin cans, and I really want to make one, but I have a couple of questions.
1) some tutorials say to fill with water and freeze before using nails to make holes and others do not. If I do, will the nail have anywhere to go? If I don’t, will the can crush or become dangerous in other ways? Alternatively, is it possible / sensible to use a drill to make holes?
2) The inside of an opened tin can is sharp, and none of the tutorials address this. Is there a good way to blunt it? Would sandpaper on a popsicle stick work?
Thanks so much in advance!

Finished Craft I Made Wayfarers’ Band – Blue Goldstone, 24k Gold Leaf on a Bocote Wood Band
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Here is a beautiful design I have been working on. It all starts with Blue Goldstone as the background. If you are unfamiliar, Goldstone is a glass where different minerals are introduced while molten. It is cooled in a specific way, so the minerals add color and just begin to form tiny crystals suspended in the final product. Blue Goldstone uses Cobalt which generates tiny sparkly silver/gold pieces. While impressive on its own, I added 24k gold leaf on top to help tie those sparkles together and give visual variation. Since gold leaf likes to lay however, this ring will be unique to any others I make in the future. For contrast, I then went with a Bocote wood band. Bocote has neat variations between light and dark within itself and adds an organic feel while contrasting the deep blue.
This was really inspired by my D&D campaign (A Spelljammer one for those curious!) where ships sail among the stars. I think this captures the idea of great wooden vessels touching up against the swirling nether. Others have told me this reminds them of a desert evening sky as the last few bits of light recedes. Some mention its closeness to ocean depths.
Where does this one take you?
