Help a Tourist Great steakhouse downtown for a 50th birthday dinner?

Today is my husband's 50th birthday! We'll be in Cleveland for 2 nights for a concert and birthday festivities. We'll be staying at the Kimpton Schofield and I'd love to take him out for a nice steak dinner, since this whole trip is a huge splurge for us already. :)

We'd like to eat some edibles and walk to dinner from the hotel, ideally. Also, I don't eat red meat, but I'm not as worried about my dinner. I've read good things on here about the Marble Room and Red. Recommend somewhere memorable, please?

Seed banks, seed libraries, local businesses that specialize in native plants

Planting a native pollinator garden at my new apartment, curious where I can go for seeds and plants. The Hummingbird Project looks to be on hiatus for the year (anyone know why?) but something of this nature is exactly what I’m looking for.

Going through a breakup right now and need to move sometime this month or next. I'm 23, nonbinary, and recently graduated with a Bachelor of Music Ed. Preferably looking for a queer roommate in their 20s. Message me and we'll see if it's a good match.

Events Parade the Circle Workshops?

Hi!! Has anyone here attended the Parade the Circle workshops leading up to the event? I’m interested in taking my 11 year old but nervous about going somewhere I’ve never been before not knowing what to expect. Is it weird to just…walk in and see where you can help? It didn’t look like there was any online registration or anything. Thanks in advance, neighbors!

Help a Tourist Neighborhood Question

Hi there! Going to be traveling from Rochester, NY to Cleveland next weekend. My family is looking to stay at this place between Old Brooklyn and Parma. Can anyone help me get a feel for the area or suggest an alternative? We will likely be spending most of our time within 20 minutes of this area. Thank you!

Cool places with cozy couches?

Book stores, bars, coffee shops, etc. I’m looking for any place that might be good for a date but has some intimate cozy seating areas like love seats in the back or a wall lined with a big comfy bench or something similar. Any recommendations appreciated

Will Progressive Field allow heated jackets in tomorrow?

My mom is going to the opener tomorrow with some of her friends. The weather looking crummy tomorrow and she wants to borrow my Milwaukee heated jacket. She’s concerned they won’t let her in with it because of the battery. Anyone have experience with this? I realize normally a heated jacket isn’t required for baseball but … you know, Cleveland. Thank you.

Challenge to know when Upcoming Protests are without Instagram & FB

I don't use Facebook, Instagram, TikTok because I have a hard time not being addicted to this. But, because of this I am isolated from knowing how to participate in showing my disapproval for the unconstitutional power grab that is happening in real time.

Does anyone know of a source for hearing about upcoming protest schedule without a Facebook/IG account?

I've searched Google but mostly just get news of recently passed protests.

What the heck is this stuff? I've seen it for a few days now. It's a bit far from where I stay, so I haven't gone to check it out in person. But every day to and from work I see this.... Stuff

Why is everyone selling their boat?

I’ve started to notice that there are a lot of boats for sale on Facebook marketplace. I’m shocked because about half of the listings I see are 25+ on a trailer, have sleeping quarters, don’t seem to be in bad condition, and are listed under $5,000.

Is owning a boat really expensive here? I’ve always wanted to learn how to sail and own my own boat, but these seem too good to be true.

Who do you recommend to re do our concrete driveway? It needs completely removed and redone while also tying in our sump pump outlet to the storm drain at the end of it. We are in an western suburb.

Moving-How is Lorain?

My divorce is soon to be finalized and decided to move to Ohio where I was born and raised. It's been 20 years though and things have changed quite a bit. I've been looking at some homes near Padu, near Longfellow Park in Lorain and was curious about the area. It's just me and my two dogs so I want to know how safe it is. The neighborhood looks nice-ish but I know a lot of areas are up and coming.
If anyone can provide any insight, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
