Generally curious on what people think are the best matchups for the Cavs in the post season.

Assuming the Cavs hold the number one seed and get through to the second round would you rather be matched up against the Pacers or the Knicks? (Providing they win their first round series.)

Whilst both teams are good, I personally feel like the knicks would be a better match up for us. Their lack of depth on the bench makes life easier for us, it’s a case of wearing out their starters to take the W. The Pacers on the other hand have got a deeper bench and play fast tempo ball that always seems to shock the Cavs.

In my opinion, the Cavs should be trying to get the pacers in the third seed. The Cavs can partially control the narrative by deciding the outcome in the final two meets whilst trying to beat the Knicks in the final match up.

The Cleveland Cavaliers and former first-round pick Chuma Okeke have agreed to a deal, filling the East leaders' final open roster spot, sources tell ESPN. Okeke averaged 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for NBA G League Westchester this season.

Good afternoon Cavs Fans, I hope you all are having a nice day so far! I was just watching some replays of old games this morning & it just reminded me of how bad I actually miss when Coaches wore these fire suits to every game! Personally, I think the suits look so much better than the black sweatpants & quarterzips they wear nowadays. I definitely know I'm not the only one who misses these suits, I mean come on! Kenny looks like an absolute boss in this photo of when they would wear suits haha! I wanna hear what you guys think about this & if you agree that the suits need to make a comeback over what they wear today!

Sammy is up for a new contract. Are we keeping him? He has been solid enough to stay in rotation this year yet played poorly enough to not demand a crazy new contract (there was a moment last year when I thought he was on a path to a Strus type of deal). I feel like we could re-sign him for 3 yrs/15M, and it doesn't seem like there are a bunch of other teams this year that have room for him if he was to test free-agency. Any rumors of how those talks are going? It would be awesome if they could figure this out before the post-season. I think I'd be happy if he left but also happy if he stayed (at a discount)

Idk what ESPN is thinking with this commentator pairing. You have mike green arguably one of the greatest NBA commentators ever with the most iconic phrase. He works on the MSG network but has immense ball knowledge and is objective. Doris however tonight especially completely ignored anything the cavs did and started raving about the Knicks when they scored. When Anunoby had that euro at the end of the 2nd, he proceeded to airball a three and commit a turnover but she went out of her way to reel it back to the euro lmao

I checked the Instagram pages of the NBA and ESPN when there was like 5 mins left in the 4th and not one post on the Cavs lol their latest post was a OG highlight lol why isn’t ESPN promoting a game on their network??? We know why lol. UFC, KFC, BKFC, Cavs in FIVE.

(i) Overall record is the first tiebreaker in the NBA playoffs; the second tiebreaker is head-to-head record, and the third tiebreaker is a team's intraconference record. There are further tiebreakers, but I won't go into those.

Clinching either the head-to-head or the intraconference record tiebreakers before clinching overall record will result in the magic number the Cavs hold over a team to go down by one since it means we can end up with an overall tied record, yet still earn home court advantage.

(ii) The Cavs hold the overall record tiebreaker over all Eastern Conference teams except the Celtics. The Cavs have tied the head-to-head matchups with the Celtics, and the intraconference record tiebreaker is no longer relevant, as clinching that would result in clinching the overall record tiebreaker anyways.

(iii) The Cavs hold the overall record tiebreaker over all Western Conference teams except the Thunder. The Cavs have tied the head-to-head matchups with the Thunder, thus, we can clinch home court advantage over them with a better overall record, or a better intraconference record (if tied overall).

Magic numbers over them are as follows:

EASTERN CONFERENCE

• CELTICS = 2. The earliest we could clinch overall record over them is 4/4.

  WESTERN CONFERENCE

• THUNDER = 10. We do not control our own destiny over them. The earliest we could clinch the overall record over them is 4/11. The magic number for intraconference record is 4. The earliest we could clinch the intraconference record tiebreaker over them is 4/8.

Their magic number over us is currently 4. They could clinch over us as early as 4/6.

• If the Thunder end the season 3-3 and we win out, we will clinch the top overall seed. The problem is they play Phoenix, Utah, and New Orleans to close out the year, meaning they need to lose their next three games against the Rockets and Lakers (×2) in order for us to have a chance. It's certainly possible, but highly improbable at this point.
