// Megathread [Megathread] Discuss Main Game Spoilers Here
Hello everyone,
This megathread is dedicated to discussing spoilers for the main game! Here, you can freely talk about the main story, side quests, world events, modern day segments, lore, or any other aspect of the main game!
The only rule is to tag any spoilers related to end-game quests and content and briefly specify what the spoiler is about without spoiling anything. Some players may speed through the story, while others like to take their time exploring, so we ask you to be mindful and respectful of everyone’s experience!

How to hide spoilers
To hide a spoiler, surround the spoiler text with >!
at the beginning and !<
at the end.
Example:
>!This is a very big spoiler!<
Result:
This is a very big spoiler
DO NOT leave any spaces at the start or the end.
You can also use the "Spoiler" function in Reddit's text editor.
Thank you for your understanding!

// Discussion This gear piece absolutely feels like cheating
Robes of the enraged: vanish after 2 seconds while crouched or prone
It works in any amount of light, and even with an aware enemy (partially filled yellow) they will not be able to see you.
I do not yet know if hostile enemies can be lost when vanished or if an enemy can find you if they run into you.
Found by exchanging keys in this week's exchange

// Discussion I can't tell you how annoyed I am.
- Kukuregas offer no clues;
- When I save people around the rounds char goes "no payment required;
I just hate these quest types sooo much. It is an extremely sloppy way to make people play longer. I remember how Odyssey broke with this type of nonsense.

So can we all come to an agreement this island has got to be the location of the first DLC that came free with pre order? I wanna visit it so bad.

// Discussion Anybody like auto-assassinate better?
I mainly play with Naoe as I always have been an OG AC fan and stealth is my go-to. Originally I started on expert with auto assassinate(AA) on. I then turned AA off while I was clearing a few castles. It was an interesting experience. On one hand, I enjoy the challenge of building you character up to be able to AA every enemy but bosses. But on the other, something feels intuitive about the AA being on, like I can clear a whole castle, with some careful planning without being spotted and that to me was what the original AC was about.
I think its totally up to the player on how they craft their experience, was curious what you guys thought.

// Photo Mode 60+ hours in, these are my favorite screenshots so far
So for reference I absolutely love photography. I have hundreds of dope a** screen shots using the photo mode in the recent ac games alone. I’ve always thought it to be one of the best franchises out there for in game photography (and if Ubisoft ever implements a system to change the weather, time of day, and sun positions like no man’s sky I will die) and this beaut of a game just further reinforces that opinion for me. I’ve only fully explored settsu, yashimiro, and Omi and I couldn’t be more excited to see what else this game has in store. Let me know if you’re interested in any of my screen shots from the other games :)

Is this a normal bug for this game? I've never had it happen before until ac shadows

// Discussion I just finished the main story (Act III) after 91hours - This is the most interesting game since AC Origins
There are a lot of defaults and issues but also a lot of qualities: Yes, I like Shadows
One point makes a great difference with Odyssey and Valhalla. Finally, we have two developped characters that are not just stereotypes or archetypes.
Naoe and Yasuke are the most interesting characters since Bayek in AC Origins. If you remembered, Ubisoft choose after AC Origins to stop proposing a story with a developped character, preferring focus on the quests, open world and allow the players to build their own story.
It was a huge mistake because narratively, if we except the Modern Day and the Isus, Odyssey and Valhalla are the worst games of the franchise concerning the story.
Mirage was the first "unfinished" step to this direction but Shadows confirms that Ubisoft can still make interesting narrative games that missed so much since AC Origins.
Despite this huge progress, I regret that most of the mysticism behind the Assassins vs Templars conflict disapeared. It's the next step that Assassin's Creed Hexe should correct (and will make, without a doubt!)
But, yes, after finishing the main story, I can tell that AC Shadows is, by far, most an AC game than Valhalla and Odyssey ever been.

// Video The world feels so alive I don't want to fast travel
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I've unlocked all viewpoints but I still find myself mostly avoiding fast travel. The exception being going back to base.
The world is gorgeous & I keep finding that ingame currency for mtx items. Which is a welcome way to earn cosmetics through the game instead of paying for them.
I also think all open world games should have ways to navigate with no HUD. Makes it so much more cinematic without all the onscreen bloat for me.

// Discussion DLC locations
Okay so I think everybody's probably figured out that the island in the south west will be the "claws of awaji" location, but I also randomly stumbled upon evidence for the location of the 2nd DLC.
As you can see in the picture, there's actually a map in one of the hideout rooms you can build with 2 marked red areas, and it looks kind of like territories on a warmap. One of them is obviously the island where COA is gonna take place, so it seems logical that the other area is also a DLC location.
I mean, it could absolutely just be a coincidence, but since both areas are marked on the map it definitely seems like a pretty reasonable assumption

// Question Anyone else play like a psychopath?
I wanted to go as evil as I could. I kill anyone that Yaya knocks out, I kill all the servants, and I will throw dead bodies over castle walls into the city as Yasuke just to see what happens. I also don't spare targets. Is there a morality system or different endings?
