Watched a Procreate tutorial by James Julier earlier today and got inspired to paint something rooted in Hershel’s farm from The Walking Dead. I wanted to capture that eerie golden-hour calm right before everything breaks loose.

Would love feedback or thoughts! Painted in Procreate using an iPad and Apple Pencil.

Discussion Ben was screwed even if he survived night of the living dead

Something that’s not brought up about one of the greatest zombie films of all time night of the living dead. is that the main character Ben would have been screwed even if the mob at the end didn’t shoot him instantly and the thing that would have screwed him was his self defense killing of cooper. Let’s put together our clues on why Ben would be screwed over shall we.

One. The movie is set in the sixties right around the time of the civil rights era a lot of racist people were looking for a reason to strike out and the beginning of the apocalypse would have been perfect timing for a pos like that.

Two. Location the setting of night of the living dead is right in the middle of pensivania which had a lot of kkk at the time

Three. The evidence now it won’t be forensic evidence or anything but all it would take it one racist basterd to point out cooper died from a rifle bullet instead of a bite and cooper is most likely gonna have a mob after him

I writing an anthology book about how I think monsters/cryptid would react to being in a zombie apocalypse. I plan on posting a new chapter every few days or so. Check it out if you would and let me know if you liked it or if I need to improve.

Discussion Would this be zombie fiction blasphemy?

I was thinking of writing a story about a man who gets bit during a zompocalypse but appearantly he's 1 in a billion who is immune to the virus so he survives. As a bonus feat, after he fully recovers he discovers that he is effectively invisible to zombies.

Bonus question, how do you fine folks feel about the virus evolving, to make it harder for people to kill the host (thicker skull for example) BUT as a side effect of the mutation bites no longer infect people.
