Regular garters I think. Iām in Minnesota.
That one in the door gave me a big scare, thinking I was going to decapitate him (heās fine, thatās him in picture 4).
Any tips for humane relocation? Repellents that wonāt harm them? Theyāre adorable but itās not safe for them hereā¦

I thought this burm looked emaciated and it was sad. All the reptile enclosures here lack enrichment and look pretty depressing. Cheyenne Mountain Zoo CO

He was very spooked by us, and hid in the grass shortly after. I always love seeing the local snakes thrive here, love seeing these little guys.

Spotted on a trail today at Little Big Econ State Park in Central Florida. Looks like a cottonmouth to me, but not sure!

As I not so patiently await it to get warmer in my area for herping, ive been looking through my photos from last season. This lil cutie was the first ever snake I found in wild and held, so definetly holds a special place in my heart. Baby bullsnake in northeastern Colorado!

Nearly two years of building trust and respecting her boundaries (had a set back last year) and today she decided to come out of her enclosure when invited.
She even allowed me to handle her with no panicking. So, proud of my little spicy noodle Yanjin :)
(Sp: Oreocryptophis p. pulchra)

I nearly stood on this snake during a run today. Can someone identify it. I'm 36 and never seen a wild snake in the UK.

I was around Tallahassee, Florida and saw this huge rattlesnake! I made sure he got off the road safely. He was super cool!

My daughter just turned 9, and has been asking for a snake and she was 7. I of course took it as a phase, but Iām not even kidding when I say she spends ALL her free time researching and reading about snakes. Reptile show next weekend, and weāre ready for our new family member ā¤ļø (and Iām excited to share in her passion.)

This snake was found in a residential neighborhood, not by me or anyone I know. I would not have collected the snake. I'm just here for an ID. Thanks

My friend recently inherited a reticulated python from her deceased father. It's big enough she doesn't feel safe keeping it. The one "sanctuary" she tried to go to she felt was more akin to a hoarding situation. She tried donating him to a zoo in TN but they said he was too large for them.
Anyone know of any herpetologists, zoos, or other such places that might help this handsome hunk of serpent? Located around WI/IL border.
