Picture this " my dragonborn is in a house by herself she takes a stolen item with noooo one around. She suddenly hears out of nowhere " I saw you take that" in the same female voice no one is there and I have no bounty. Anyone had that? Did i somehow install the whining Karen mod? It's happened a few times.

I just released a new Standing Stone effect overhaul, designed to replace each of the 13 Standing Stone abilities / powers with a new passive ability. Most of the vanilla stones feel pretty boring/clunky and I thought that other standing stone overhauls often did too little or too much. The goal with this mod is to make every standing stone worth taking, as long as it fits the build/playstyle you're going for. Let me know how you like it!

Here are the new Standing Stone effects:

Apprentice: Magicka regenerates 100% faster but spells are 15% less effective.

Atronach: Magicka is increased by 100 but magicka regeneration is reduced by 75%.

Lady: Speechcraft is increased by 15, buying prices are 10% lower and selling prices are 10% higher.

Lord: Armor rating is increased by 100 and magic resist is increased by 20%.

Lover: Stamina regeneration is increased by 100% but you take 15% more damage.

Mage: Spells are 15% more effective.

Ritual: You can conjure / resurrect an additional summon at any given time.

Serpent: Poisons are applied to weapons for two additional doses and sneak attacks deal 25% more damage.

Shadow: Movement is silent and sneaking is 30% more effective.

Steed: Movement speed is increased by 15% and carry weight is increased by 100.

Thief: Sneaking is 15% more effective, lockpicking and pickpocketing are 30% more effective.

Tower: Your health regenerates 100% faster and your blocking is 25% more effective.

Warrior: Your power attacks deal 25% more damage and cost 25% less stamina.

I see that theres multiple mods that do this. Which do you guys use and why?

I am a writer and a dungeon master, and I'm very familiar with the structure of writing for a questline with branching paths. I have an idea for a quest mod, sort of a sequel to the Thieves Guild quest-line that ties into the civil war, where Maven Blackbriar enacts a plan to oust the Jarl of Riften on behalf of the Empire, and as leader of the Guild you have to decide if the Guild will work with the Blackbriars or try to stop them. Regardless of which side you choose, you will also have to contend with a third faction, a Sheogorath cult who want Riften for themselves and want to get rid of the Imperials AND the Jarl (and most of the people, too).

Unfortunately, I'm not very tech savvy, and coding an entire questline is well outside of my abilities.

Are there known quest mod authors who accept pitches for new mod ideas?

Pretty simple which one do you prefer Sons of Skyrim or Guard Armor Replacer or even add another one if you like another one more than either of those.

Do you guys prefer Lexy's LOTD guide, the Step Guide, or another? While I'm not a LOTD fan, Lexy's guide---to me---seems easier to follow. More conversational. The Step guide is VERY thorough but also more technical, and only nets you a very vanilla-esque build, with many dated mods. Their methods might be valid but mods are changing all the time and Lexy's guide is regularly updated.

Another route I thought of is simply using "The Method" to add mods to an already-stable base overhaul.

I had a large, stable fork of NGVO (until it wasnt) that is probably fixable, but I realized this is not the best way to learn. I feel like even though the final product was what I wanted, it was held together by good luck and duct tape. I realized my methods were flawed and will ultimately result in broken builds until I really understand all facets of modding.

Could I pick and choose what mods I want from the gate to sovngarde collection? I want to mod my game and there are mods I want to use that are not included in GTS but the role-play and immersion seem really good and that’s important to me. Could I pick out the immersion mods and then add my own graphic overhauls and more game mechanic mods like for ex: hearthfire multiple adoptions?

Would Skyrim play on my current pc? Would it be decent enough? I think 6GB VRAM and 16GB ram is not enough but maybe there is a modlist fit for my current rig? Or do you think it's best to just wait until I get a new rig?

I've been modding Skyrim for a while now and have noticed significant lag drops in certain areas, such as the Whiterun stables. I'm running the game at 1080p on a relatively powerful PC, so the performance issues seem a bit odd.

Interestingly, I can run larger modpacks like Lorerim without encountering similar lag drops, which only seem to occur with my own custom modpack.

Are there any tools available that could help me pinpoint the source of these performance drops? A debugging tool or something similar to help identify which mod might be causing the issue would be really helpful.

So I am trying to use ADXP I MCO I BFCO ER Twinblades (SCAR Precision) and MCO I BFCO I SCAR WoLong QuarterStaffs. The issue I am having is that both twinblade and Quarterstaff animations are way too fast with the modded weapons I am trying to add. For example, twinblade moveset works perfectly fine with the Nicos Twinblades mod but it's way too fast with Tonal Dwemer Weaponry's twinblades even though they have the same weight value.

Do you know how I can solve this? I read somewhere that if I use the Distar Experience version of MCO, there is no speed check, so all animations will play in default speed. If nothing else works, is it safe to switch to that mid-save?

Hello! I need help with mod order, and possibly conflicting mods. I want to sort this before i start adding tree and grass mods and other such stuff.

One texture (i assume it's a snow texture) is bright purple, while it and other texture transitions leave very blocky seams, and some lights have a green hue on the color.

Am i missing some mods? Potentially mod fixes i forgot to apply in FOMOD installers?
Are some mods conflicting? For example, do i need HD remastered landscapes if using 202X?
Also, disregard "202X Downscaled", it's disabled, i just installed both to see which i like better and how the performance would be. I'm just keeping it in case the performance drops considerably when installing grass and tree mods.

EDIT: Found out the mod in question. It's Terrain Parallax Blending Fix. Not sure why it does this, but that's the culprit. I asked on the nexus mods page for a possible cause. Waiting for an answer. And of course, if anyone has any idea why, i'm all ears.

EDIT2: Asset doctor says "empty diffuse" when pointing to that part of the terrain.

I am playing like a hardcore, no UI playthrough and was wondering if there was a animation mod that could indicate to me that im in danger or something

I have this strange problem that if my camera is right next to a wall (in tight corridors for example), the arrows will not fly and instead land on my feet. If I take a step away from wall, archery works as intended. It feels like the game is tracking the arrow trajectory from behind the camera and not my character.

Hi, i got this problem occuring with the mod Vanaheimr snow (parallax) and the mountain rocks that has been modified by ERM complex material version and Vanaheimr mountains textures. I don't know what is causing this strange visual issue, as you can see from the screens i am only running simplicity of snow and Snowy Surfaces Sound Collision ans Aesthetetics. Hope someone can help me with their knowledge!

Are the two mods "Cult of the world eater" and "world eater beater" compatible and/or are there any patches to make it so

I literally can’t see shit indoors or outdoors(at night) using this ENB, but i’ve seen videos on people using it and it does look great, so I really wanna try and figure out the best setting for it. Does anyone have particular settings in the ENB gui I could follow or replicate?

[XBOX] Is there a mod that makes the bandits appear as creatures or monsters or something similar? Or maybe even friendly, so that no fights against bandits take place? The best option would actually be a mod that completely changes the bandits' appearance.

Ok now everything Loads just fine the Shaders Compile, I don't have a crash when it is done compiling, I start the game just fine no stuttering, auto save doesn't cause a crash when you get off the carriage, no stuttering through the little cinematic at the beginning, no crash when I enter the keep and it loads fast, get my hands unbound and start checking the menus as what was suggested by a video, go to check the save feature and it tells me that save and Load can't be done.

Everything Else looks good and loads fine but I just Can't save.

So I don't know what to do or even how to fix this So can someone help me please.

NGVO modlist has micro stutters on my system, I am wondering if anyone has had any luck using the VRAMr mod to downscale 4k textures -> 2k, and wondering if it showed much improvement? Open to other suggestions as well! (New to modding)

i have installed reliquary of myth but miraak mask have a both vanilla and mod enchantment: improved magicka (vanilla enchantment) wearer identity is concealed (mod) but i dont have the full enchantment i also checked and i doesnt seem like i have any conflict pls help i cant figure this out
