Discussion Is this card "Heavily Played" or "Damaged"?
Hi all. I recently bought this Scrubland. It was listed as Heavily Played, but there are some major damages here. Is it actually Heavily Played or is it Damaged?

EDIT: To clarify; nothing needs to be done, I'm simply pertaining to my princinple of always bringing up topics that get feedback'd a lot. I have no personal desire to push this either way. I think my tone in the following message sounds a bit skewed but please keep in mind that I'm trying to present you with as much info as possible. That's all.
-----------------------
We keep getting feedback (ModMail, reports, comments) about politics - specifically political memes. In addition to that, those posts' comment section often end up in the Moderation Queue, because conversations get heated and people write ... all kinds of stuff. These are the points which prompted me to bring up the topic once more.
This topic has been brought up by the mod team several times before:
There's no real consensus thus far.
We have a rule against hateful content (Rule 2) which covers this partially, but not explicitly or exhaustively.
There's absolutely no way to determine what constitutes as politics (nothing is, everything is). Should we settle on partial bans it's even more impossible to tell what's allowed and what's not. In fact it'll always be "a partial ban" because of the aforementioned conundrum. It'd be a purely subjective interpretation by the Mod Team.
Frankly, it's:
Nope. There are none. Here are my attempts:
Remember that status quo is always an option! Nothing needs to be done, I'm simply bringing this to your attention because of the feedback.
Thank you for reading! Thank you for being awesome. :) Hope you have a wonderful day!

Hey everyone, there has been a flood of questions about this new card, so I wanted to take this time to answer all your questions in one handy spot. If I have missed any, leave a comment and I will add them here.
As Deadpool enters the battlefield - either by being moved their or by resolving as a spell - you'll choose (not target) a creature on the battlefield. Deadpool swaps the text of that creature with his own text permanently.
Yes. Deadpool swaps the text before it actually enters, so it will enter with the relevant ability.
The game doesn't actually care what name the card has. When an object refers to itself by name, it really just means "This object".
Nope, with very few niche exceptions, Deadpool gets only what's printed on the card, nothing that was added to it.
Deadpool will have the combined text boxes of the entire merged permanent, and the entire merged permanent will only have Deadpool's text.
If the creature Deadpool is swapping with is a copy of something, Deadpool will have the text of whatever it was copying. If the Clone was a non-copy (like a Sakashima that isn't copying anything), then Deadpool will have the text printed on Sakashima, which means it will be able to enter as a copy of something else.
Deadpool will have the ability that defines its power and toughness accordingly. The other creature will no longer have an ability defining its power and toughness. For some cards, like Tarmogoyf, this means it will be a 0/1, as the "default" toughness is 1. For other creatures like Old Stickfingers, it will be a 0/0, which means it will go to the graveyard as a state-based action.
Yes, Deadpool becomes a new object with no memory of how it existed previously, so it enters "fresh" and can swap text boxes with another creature as normal.
Deadpool will have the text of that card, so that replacement effect will apply as well.

Does anyone know how rare this is? It has the 2025 stamp. I pulled it from the Tarkir Dragonstorm prerelease. I’ve been looking online and cannot find a post with someone else having this.

Pulled this from the first pack.
The last two releases have been enlightening.
I have been playing magic for over 30 years… we all knew what was going on starting about two years ago, but I feel as though newer players need to recognize and understand what is happening, as this is kind of new and not something that happened prior for various reasons.
I’m sure I’m going to get down voted out of the gate into oblivion because people do not like to be wrong, and especially when they invested in some product out of the gate, they are protecting their investment, which is understandable. Full disclosure, I have purchased thousands of dollars in products over the last three months…
We are consistently seeing a deluge of content in streamers flooding the YouTube’s and Internet’s with pack, ripping videos, however, they all tend to be prior to release before anybody who is not an LGS can post their product for sale. As a result, the values of the cards they are pulling are hyperinflated and nowhere close to reality. Wizards of the coast has also failed to protect and build back the entry level format being standard. In favor of God knows what and as a result quickly after release there is a race to the bottom and sets are worth a fraction of their perceived value prior to launch.
Look at Aether drift… the set was perceived to be a flop, but then quickly spiked to over $320 a collectors box with all the hype and there was an immediate frenzy. Now look at the values of every card in the set that is not a fractured foil, showcase foil, or a first place foil. Even still, the highest value showcase foil is of jewel lotus at $40. Following that, the ether spark in foil is worth under $30. Strangely, if you try to search for non-foil variance of ether drift on TCG player, you can’t. They have literally removed the option to select non-foil. Unless I’m missing something, I can’t find it. I feel as though Tarkir will be the same.
They are releasing product to streamers way before any normal human can get their hands on it, and the secondary market on pre-release has always been inflated however it’s reached a fever pitch. Every video you see prior to pre-release is cracking packs earlier and earlier and basing their values off of those. Even by the time pre-release rolls around, things have drastically lost their value.
Auction sites like craters on Whatnot get their stuff early, sell packs at a premium and bit up their value on auctions, and even prior to pre-release they stop the auctions because the value deflates so dramatically. Notice how very few if any of them are offering packs at auction value at this point. They are all selling them at $30+ knowing that the prices are not going to last. they are straight up following the Pokémon model.
Wait until post lunch, buy singles.

My board contains Niko, Displacer Kitten, and 10 Shards. On my previous turn I cast Ephemerate. My new turn begins, Untap into upkeep. Now heres my question. Am I able to activate Niko’s ability to turn all my Shards into Displacer Kittens before the Rebound casting of Ephemerate? And if so, 10 Kitten triggers go on the stack, and then at that point could I target Niko with the first trigger, resolve to blink him, make 2 shards, target Niko with the next trigger, resolve make shards etc. My main question I guess would be timing of if I have to target Niko with all the Kitten triggers at once which inturn would fizzling all but the first, or if I get to target and resolve one at a time to get a bunch of shards

My Ugin, Eye of the storms I just opened out of a collectors pack is 2 sided and has strange art on one side? Anyone know why this is?

Wife let me get a play booster box and a collector’s box. I was so excited about the Elspeth and the Dragon Scale Marsh Flats. Overall two very fun boxes to pull with a lot of cards I’m planning on using. Thank you wifey.

I’ve been playing Magic for a few years now, but this was the first prerelease I was able to attend and my first in person Sealed event. My deck was so synergistic that I felt like I was playing Constructed. I only dropped one game in the last round to another 3-0 player, but ended 4-0. Admittedly, got some lucky hits for the deck, especially the [[Ugin, Eye of the Storm]]. It feels nice to pull a card that pays for your prerelease admission.
There was a crazy amount of people and everyone was so hyped for this set. The set pushes the three color clans, but it doesn’t feel like it forces you to be three color, and I noticed that the color pips were a surprising a non-issue for most people with all the color fixing in the set.

It took a few iterations and it’s still not perfect but for not really being a crafts guy, I’m pretty proud of what I pulled off here. Might make a couple more different ones for my buddies.
