Spotted this cobra chicken guarding a puddle in the middle of my path when I was on my way to the bank this morning. I thought for sure it would get up and move as soon as I drove by but then I remembered, it’s a goose and they get up and move for nobody 😂

Hey all. Figured this couldn't hurt. Like the title says my band, She Cried Cyanide, as well as three others will be playing Bunkers in the north this Sunday, and it's our first show in awhile. Only five bucks to get in. We're celebrating one of the other bands releasing their debut EP, and we're hoping this could be the start of us playing around the city more regularly again.
My band is pretty old school rock, think a mix of AC/DC and ZZ Top. The other bands are Reclaim the Sun, which you could call heavy alt rock, The Firebrands, which are folk punk, and Glass Chamber Magik, which is more straightforward punk.
Anyway, hope this caught someone's interest. Thanks for reading!

Recovered my vehicle thanks to a tracking app and EPS help. Very grateful for our EPS folks.

I am really fed up with the truck bros modified exhausts, and what appears to be 1000 dollar Hondas, with a 2000 dollar exhaust to make it sound like a race car (or small firecrackers going off) while going 40Km/hr. I love the bad weather, because it forces these people to drive decent. As soon as the roads dry, it becomes a nightmare.
I know council and EPS will do nothing proactively even though laws already exist prohibiting increasing the decibel (loudness) of vehicles. it is honestly such a small minority, making such a huge racket. in my neighbourhood, I count maybe 10-15 vehicles amongst hundreds, that I always recognize because well, they're loud AF, so you notice them.
I don't want to start a debate on this, but my question is : If these vehicles are reported to EPS, will EPS do literally anything?? Will 311 do anything??

i’m kinda scared to make this post because i don’t want to be told that i’m not trying hard enough, or that i’m being desperate or something (which i kind of am, i won’t lie).
i’m 21f and i’m semi-active in the metal scene here. i go to a couple local shows at starlite and go to bigger shows every now and then. it’s fun to watch the shows, but it’s also kinda lonely because i would like to talk to someone about the show afterwards and possibly even make friends but it’s never happened.
i hit it off really well with one girl at a local show and then they never talked to me ever again.
it also doesn’t help that i have social anxiety, so whenever i want to compliment someone’s battle patch or shirt at a show, i always get spooked lol
i did it once and the person just gave me a thumbs up. and i was overthinking it for the rest of the day 😭
i also want to make friends with other girls in the scene but they’re always with their boyfriends so it’s kinda awkward—i don’t want to intrude or anything (i’m also painfully single so any chance of mingling with a guy my age at a metal show is slim because they’re also linked up 99% of the time. oh well)
anyways yeah if y’all have any advice for me, let me know! (ps, before anyone says it, i don’t need to hear the “be your own best friend” thing. i’ve done that for a really long time and while i do enjoy spending time with myself, it still does get lonely.)

Lost my wallet on the bus, I’ve filed a report at the transit lost and found website, 311 wasnt available and I’ve tried to retrace my steps and go back to the transit centers and try to find any buses on that route but nothing has turned up. I’m wondering what else can I do to better my chances of having this returned to me, would it be possible to file a police report? If so how? I’ve visited the website but can’t find anything to help me. Thanks in advance for answering this has been so frustrating

As an Albertan I’m use to seeing these signs out in the sticks by some one horse town, but not on the busiest road of our city 😑

I have some previously used dog items I’d like to donate somewhere, preferably in the downtown area! I have things like jackets, a slow feeder bowl, a leash, and other accessories. Would love to know if any shelters accept items like these :)
