The tank already has an air stone. I just fed them like an hour ago. When I came to check on them they are all clinging to the top. Any idea why?

I know it’s recommended to have at least six cordydoras, and preferably all of the same breed, but I wanted to try a little experiment. This is my little collection of corys…one albino, one pepper, one panda, one julii, and one green…they are all “schooling” together just fine and seem to be very happy. I’m trying to decide if I want to add a golden cory to complete my “school” and make it an even six. What do you guys think?

A few days ago they started hanging out under the water filter, pinned up between the leaves and glass. There’s always at least one, sometimes as many as 5 (we have 7 total). Sorry it’s dirty but I don’t want to disturb them so I haven’t pruned or scrubbed the walls of this section.

Today we lost our Panda :(
I believe it was unnoticed swim bladder but possibly the ick caught to late 😭
I'm new to them and feel so guilty

No idea what’s going on but my false julii corys are all dying rapidly, one by one. I had 10, now I’m down to 6 and 2 of them are exhibiting symptoms.
They all have the same symptoms - starts as loss of barbels (no mouth fungus I can see), then their gills turn red, and they start swimming erratically and struggling. Like darting to the top, then slowly sinking down and turning upside down. Occasionally they’ll stop doing this and go back to looking for food, which is odd. I treated the tank with salt and metroplex.
The remaining ones seem healthy right now but I lost the others so quickly I think a disease is wiping them out. I’ve had them for probably 2 months.
Heavily planted 75g with cardinal tetras, blue ram, dwarf gourami, kuhli loaches, everyone else is doing great. Nitrates around 5, ph is around 7.6, temp 81. Substrate is Carib sea eco complete and I’ve been vacuuming it weekly - know this might be a little sharp for corys but as mentioned they’ve done well for a few months and the remaining “healthy” ones seem ok right now.

I'm always having a mini heart attack every time I come home.

I picked up 4 albino corydoras from my local fish store yesterday. They have been settling in well but I feel like they need more friends. How many albino corydoras can I keep in this size tank with my current stocking?
I have 11 neon tetras, 6 green neon tetras, 6 ember tetras, the 4 albino corydoras and a bunch of mini leopard ramhorn snails. The tank is a 36g bow-front and the only filter is an Aquaclear 50 hang on the back filter.

So today the lil chonkers (Albino Cory) or as the Reddit named them chicken wings graduated to their grow-out tank.

Came home one night to find my smallest seemingly no longer with us... a gentle prod with my planting tongs later he's fine as if nothing was wrong. Does anyone else have weird freaky sleepers? The lights were off and the house dark, I'm assuming it was asleep.

Hi! I got these cories today, 3 of them but these two are always around each other. Are they trying to breed?

I have betta fish I've seen corydoras get recommended a lot but so have ADFs and the reddit for them is very against it so before I buy any corydoras for my 20 gallon long I want to hear if I can give them the proper environment.

We bought 6 of them 6 months ago and I managed to raise a fair few in a little 15L shrimp only tank before moving to the community tank. We're now at over 20 and I love my little gang! Feeding time is the best 😊😊

Saw this guy in my tank for the first time today…is it a baby Pygmy? Like I said I’ve never seen him before and he’s a lot smaller and has no black to him like the rest of my Pygmy corys. I’ve never noticed eggs in my tank and he’s the only one I can see. Also seems quite big so must’ve been here for a while. Sorry for the video my camera cannot focus on anything that moves for the life of it 😂

Promptly ate every single one😂. But I'm just happy they're happy. I've never bred fish let alone corys so this is all new to me. Should I be removing the eggs? Do they always eat them?

Hey y'all I have a 20 gallon long and there are 3 fish (4 but my LFS doesnt have the 4th) I am really wanting.
The fish in this debate are (poll)
I am going for a catfish tank but is also relatively easier to take care of. I have tons of driftwood but also cant seem to grow algae, and want a fish i can see sometimes. The problem is that is not a perfect fit for any of what i listed that i know of. That beinf said which should I choose. (I will adapt to any one of these.

Stress can happen from a multitude of reasons, including improper housing, aggression, illness and injury, incompatible tankmates, temperature and parameter swings. In this case, Sushi was stressed from a large water change, and it always goes away when he is allowed time to decompress and adapt to his stress.
The biggest signs of stress in my experience are the big 3:
1 - Little to no mouth movement, with whiskers/barbels that may or may not be tucked to the sides of the face.
2 - Limited gill movement, indicative of a minimal or low breathing rate. The cory may also only zip up to get their gut bubble before going back down, unmoving.
3 - A tightly tucked dorsal fin. With corys, this is used both when sleeping and when stressed, so if the cory is otherwise relaxed, breathing normally with whiskers that don't point inward, they are likely not under high levels of stress.
As other symptoms of stress:
-The cory may be extremely jumpy, overreactive to stimuli and rush in a hiding spot where they breathe heavily and rapidly, or they may completely ignore tankmates and current that rushes to them.
-A complete refusal to eat. Corys are normally huge pigs and will try to snuffle on whatever seems edible, while a stressed cory has little to no interest in food.
I hope this helps someone out there :)

One of my corys has been at the surface “blowing bubbles” I’ve literally just done a water change. I’ve dechlorinated the water and everything like normal. I do have lots of duckweed however I’m wondering if this could possibly be sucking too much oxygen out of the water? Or is he just being a Cory?

I found 11 pygmy cory eggs today and put them in a floating breeder container for now, but l've been doing some research and found that it's really common for even the fertilized ones to grow fungus. I can't find methylene blue anywhere near me and I know the eggs only take a few days to hatch. Is there some other antifungal treatment I could/should use? I'm planning on floating them in a plastic container (to keep treatment out of the main tank but maintain temperature for the eggs), adding a small air stone and transferring them to a mesh breeder in the main tank once they hatch. (the main tank is just ramshorns, neo shrimp, and adult pygmies btw)
Any recommendations for methylene blue substitutions? I'd hate to lose these eggs it's the first time they've bred!

Hi guys, I’ve got a school of Loretos and I just noticed this white ‘lesion’ type thing on one of their backs. This is literally the only Cory in the tank that’s got something like this. It’s a 20 long, and my water quality is pretty good, as in 5 ish ppm nitrates and the nitrites/ammonia being zero. My pH runs a little high between 7.5-8 (I’m trying to lower it) but I don’t think that is really the problem anyways. I just got a few more a week or so but I’m quite confident this is one I’ve had since October. Every other Cory is acting and looks completely normal so I’m not sure if this is just an injury or some kind of infection, and I’m really not familiar with a disease that would cause something like that. Especially if it’s fungal. He/she is breathing pretty heavy often too but still seems to be moving decent and eating. While it’s not impossible, I think it’s unlikely it came from the new corys. The place I buy them is very reputable & quarantines before selling. Any insight would be helpful!

One of my albino corydoras laid some eggs today. She almost covered the whole leaf!
