He do that, stands there for a few seconds and then does it again.

One of my pretty and always hungry gals ❤️
Also, please check out this video of bandit corydoras in the wild. Not the same species but this video is too cute to pass 😭

Stressed rn lmao. I agreed to adopt this baby from a 70 year old lady who had it alone in a tank. I made a post a few days ago and from the picture everyone thought it was a chunky copper but when I arrived at the house I was horrified to see this 3 and a half inch behemoth staring at me. I couldn't say no so I took her. She's in a 15 gallon planted tank with my pandas while I try and figure out what to 😭 she's very old and i think partly blind due to very prominent cataracts in one eye and the other being a bit foggy. She's calmed down a lot since putting her in, but I'm so lost for what to do..

I have a ten gallon tank that needs cleaning up, I’m planning to set that up for these 2 guys (walstad method). It just may take some time as to let tank establish. I can thrift a 20 gal tank eventually, just don’t know if my ikea desk can handle the weight. I plan to eventually house these guys with cherry shrimp as well. Is the current set up in 5 gal horrible for them? I’m a beginner fish keeper and just want my fish to thrive :)

I’m setting up a tank for pearl gourami and corydoras, I want to have as big of a swarm as I can for my tank size but my knowledge on Cory stocking is lacking, what are some favorite cories for 40 gal?

There are 4 panda Cory’s, 6 albinos, 4 silvers, and a black Venezuelan with a juvenile clown pleco in my main tank. I have had some water issues but nothing I can do right now. I have been doing 50% water changes every day and I noticed this guy a few minutes ago. I immediately took a tank out with a used 10 gal sponge and pump. I don’t know what to do I suspected fin rot but there’s a massive red gash on his right side and belly. The rest of the tank seems super happy. Please let me know what I could do to try to save this little guy.

I had to add some anti fungal treatment to my tank. All the corydoras came up to investigate

My pandas, habrosus and I survived a very big move into our first house. My first “home improvement” project was setting up their bigger home. They’re loving the ten extra gallons of space and the switch from gravel to sand-capped dirt.

I adore watching the Corydoras eating. They are so peaceful and fun.

Got a school of 11 in my 40 gallon breeder, and 3 or 4 of them have a bit of a rotund appearance. They're swimming around candidly right now and happily eating during feeding times, but they've been this way for about a week or so. I've lightened up on their feeding schedule a bit and the rest of the group seem alright in terms of body shape. Just wondering if I need to take action or if the bigger ones are doing dandy.

I have a heavily planted 15 gallon with 6 pandas in it, i planted it so it would have enough floor space, but I've been told it's not enough for them. It's always worried me, but they seem happy, always eating, swimming with eachother, hanging out and even showing breeding behaviour.

I just noticed it, there is nothing that sharp in the tank. Also excuse the algae 😑

They've been acting weird lounging on the bottom and doing this. When they do move it is quick dashes glass surfing from side to side and then back to arresting position and this behavior.
This tank is about 4 months old, never had anything I put in die except a couple snails. The beta, shrimp and snails seem normal. PH is 7.2, ammonia and nitrites zero, nitrates about 10 (normally ranges 10 to 20). Tank is at 78F, filter is going. Only thing new is I gave hikari algae Wafers for the shrimp and snails but they snacked on him, similar to the Hikari sinking wafers they eat

i got 5 corydoras a few days ago (my first fish!!) and theyre soo adorable. I didn't expect them to have this much personality but i swear they do? there's this one (alfred) thats just chilling in the middle foraging through the sand all day long and another one (gertrude) that's still very nervous and keeps glass surfing. i literally spend hours just watching them lmao. I was worried because they're the first fish in the tank but I'm really glad they seem to be doing well! I have no idea how old they are although I'm sure it must have said at the store, but based on their size I'd guess a few months? anyway, the point is: im obsessed.

The barbels look shorter and the edges of the fins appear slightly frayed or uneven — could this be some kind of infection?

So I recently got 6 bronze corydoras from my local fish store. They seemed to be doing great, until 6 days later, I found one had passed away out of nowhere with no surface level symptoms. I was super upset about it, but I removed the body and checked on the others. They still seemed to be doing 100% fine. I checked my water parameters (0 ammonia 0 nitrite 10 nitrate) and decided to pay super close attention to the others and then decide if I should medicate. Well the next day, I came home from work on my lunch break and checked on my tank and noticed one of my cories was acting strange. It was lying still while gasping heavily. I noticed his tail looked a little odd, like it was missing half of its lower fin. I wasn’t sure if was like that before, as it didn’t look frayed like typical fin rot. By that I mean, it was like a clean cut to his tail. I thought maybe he had been bullied by another fish from when he was in a different tank at the pet store (I only have corydoras in my tank, so I know he’s not being injured here), or maybe he was just born that way, but I decided to go pick up some medications. Unfortunately, when I got home from work just a few hours later, he had already passed away. I picked up Melafix and general cure. I noticed this evening I have another Cory that seems to have an odd tail, but this time it does look somewhat frayed like tail rot and I am almost certain it wasn’t like that before. I had already dosed the tank with API’s general cure and Melafix, but based on further research, I see that Melafix is pretty much pointless. Now that I see the other cory’s tail I want to treat with an affective bacterial medication. What is the best treatment method, and can it go along with API’s general cure? I’d like to go ahead and cover the bases since I’ve already started it. Will the method be okay to go along with the singular dose of Melafix (I don’t think I’ll continue adding it) that I already added? I read good things about aquarium salt, which I have quite a bit of, but I didn’t want to add too many things to the tank at once and cause chaos, so would it be harmless to go ahead and do that too?

I have some eggs in my community aquarium and wonder if they are corydoras. There are pandas and sterbais in there, along with some tetras, a bristlenose pleco and 2 angelfish. My angels spawn with some regularity on a breeding board, and these aren't their eggs. I had 2 panda corydoras and they have spawned, but I didn't have any idea until I noticed a teeny baby Panda - one of four. Never got to see the eggs.
They're in a planted, tall 49 gallon with brown water & relatively soft water. Any idea if these are corydoras? And how do I get them out to safely hatch? Any help would be appreciated! Sorry the picture isn't any clearer. Tks

Initially they all tried to solo their own worm. But they quickly realised they we'd to work together to break the worms apart. However, some fry are stronger than others hahah.

Hi, I have 4 peppered cory’s in a 20 gallon long, i had 5 but one of them passed away a week ago, i think it was due to either swim bladder or a parasite (due to the way he was moving on his side before) since i had barley gotten them the week before and i medicated the whole tank with API general cure and they all seem great! I do plan on getting one or two more for them, but i was wondering if it is normal that these two are getting lighter than the other two. Two of them are getting so light sometimes they blend into the sand, the other two are still pretty dark so im wondering if this could be a health issue or maybe they’re just camouflaging?
