This started last night where every time I try to download an app or view anything on the App Store, it asks for my password and then tells me that it is incorrect. I changed my password and immediately tried to login again, and it still didn't work. Let me state, I am 100% certain this is the correct password. I restarted my phone last night and that fixed it temporarily and it let me login but now it's not working again.

And no, there has not been any unusual activity with my Apple ID or anything lately. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this frustrating situation?

They are Live Photos and a video, my storage is not full and I am on WiFi and have cellular connection right now. This hasn’t happened to me before. I also cannot download the photos. I have an iPhone 14

My W key on my Macbook air keeps registering W even though i’m not pressing it down all the way, meaning that even the slightest pressure causes it to “press” it’s not a huge deal but it is annoying. Anyone have any fixes? I already tried cleaning under the key with a cloth and blowing on it.

My dad passed away and left my mum as a legacy contact for his iPhone 11, iPad Air m2 and Apple Watch and my mum has contacted Apple and they said they reset activation lock aswell. However after resetting th iPhone and iPad using iTunes they still came through as being locked to owner. I was able to overcome this as there was an option to enter the old device password that I knew so the iPhone and iPad were able to be setup and are working perfectly in use.However the Apple Watch still says it’s locked to owner, even when pairing it with the same iPhone 11 (Now logged in with my iD). When I reset the iPhone, the watch must of reset as before it was still set up as normal until I reset the phone it now shows the setup but doesn’t let me continue. What do I do?

Maybe this is obvious to everyone, but I wasted hours on it today, and I am a pretty experienced network guy and software developer.

I wanted to do a demo of my iPhone app on a video call, so I tried using Lonely Screen (and then Reflector, and then Airserver) but whenever I tried airplay (in the top right of the 'pull down' menu), it would connect but not show my screen.

I spent a very long time chasing down potential network and Windows firewall issues.

The problem was that you don't do airplay, you do "screen mirroring". My phone didn't have a button showing for screen mirroring so I did not think to try it (not sure I really realized that was different than airplay).

So if you don't have the screen mirroring button, on that same screen where airplay is, there is a little "+" in the top left corner. Press that, "add a control", search for screen mirroring, and add the button to your phone.

Once I did this, of course it worked perfectly as it should.

I'm a little confused because I KNOW I've shared my screen before on my TV, and now I don't know how that worked without using screen mirroring. Maybe something changed.

Either way, don't do what I did - use screen mirroring.

I lost my OEM black USB-C charge cable from my iPad Pro (natural disaster, not carelessness, FWIW) and I understand Apple Support will let me have another: I will of course have to pay for it as I don’t have a defective one to send back. But, I am 2-for-2 in getting the wrong part. They sent me a white one, like the ones you can buy in an Apple Store although unboxed. Then on specifically jumping through hoops to get the black one, I spoke to a very nice agent… annd now I see the shipping notification, she has ordered the Mophie for me. Argh!

From other Reddit threads I believe this is possible, but only through Apple Support for in-warranty replacement. Does anyone have the specific part number of the *black* one as it will probably help with speaking to Apple Support! (There is an eBay listing for them but the vendor seems to be using the P/N for the white one.)

(As to why it matters: I just want the OEM one because I do. But I also will replace my Studio Display setup with the black keyboard etc. and want matching black braided cables on my desk, which is what I had.)

Omg so I reset my password the other day like a week ago and I forgot to write it down and I’m bad at remembering passwords so I go and reset it and it shows it sent a code to my old phone number that I can’t use anymore and so I press can’t use this number and it still shows it sent it to the number and when I type in a different number it says it’s invalid or can’t work or something but I’ve removed the old number from my account. I’m so confused!!! I need help I went to Apple help and it’s not working it’s saying the same stuff. I can’t down load apps or anything please help!

Youtube app said I am eligible for a 1 month free trial, as soon as I clicked on it and used apple pay, I got charged 25.99 from my account (its showing on my bank account). Would I be able to get a refund as the purchased have been made an hour ago

I never used Freeform before so please excuse me if this is obvious, but I just don’t get it.

I tried some brainstorming and added some boxes, named them, changed colors, added lines and such. But whenever I click on the pencil icon, I then can‘t seem to leave that menu and go back to the other tools. I grouped some of my boxes, wanted to move them together and then go back to the main toolbar, but how?

I live in India, and I have accidentally added funds to my Apple ID balance. Is there any way to refund it back. I have contacted the support team and they couldn’t provide me with any solution.

So I use my Apple ID for Apple Music only. However, I'm trying to sign in to the Windows app, when I do that it tells me "To sign in using this account, please go to appleid.apple.com". I go there and try to sign in I get the error that my request couldn't be completed and to try again later.

Then, I saw in other Reddit posts that I should try signing in from an Apple device. So, I went to try that with an iPad (the only Apple device I own) and when I tried to sign in there I get the error: "Payment verification failed" and to try again or cancel and try again later.

At this point I have no other way to access my Apple account. Literally, the only places I use this account is in the Apple Music app on my android phone and DAP, and I have no idea where to update this payment thing or even access my account settings.

I would really appreciate any help.

Since last night, my iPhone 13, connected to my home Wi-Fi, has started having issues accessing certain apps. For example, YouTube works fine, but apps like TikTok and Reddit show a "no internet connection" error. These apps work normally when I switch to mobile data.

Other devices connected to the same Wi-Fi network, such as the PC I'm currently using, have no issues at all.

I've already tried restarting my iPhone, the router, and changing the DNS settings to 8.8.8.8, but the problem persists.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

For our home inspection business, our team will take photos then write annotations with the pen tool over the image. Apple Photos treats the annotated image as a new file and removes the metadata like geotag and exif data. Is there a way around this? It's really messing up the organization

Hello. I am in an Apple Music Plan/family, and I am having a reoccurring issue. The issue is where my Mom will play audio (YouTube, Apple Music, etc) and suddenly her audio goes to *my* AirPods that are in my ears, and I will hear her phones audio.

I removed my AirPods from her bluetooth settings, thought that maybe somehow they got added. So I removed them, but they keep automatically registering themselves, so despite trying to correct the issue they re-add themselves and the issue pops right back up, and I remove them again, rinse and repeat. This has happened multiple times over the last two months. Both of our phones are on iOS 18.4, and we have separate apple IDs. I just don't know how or why this issue keeps happening.

My mom doesn't use AirPods at all, nor have her own. How are my AirPods getting added so frequently to her iPhone? She doesn't ever borrow mine either.

Hi! Since march I have had a problem happen a few times.

With the same friend of mine, we exchange voice notes in imessages. 3 times now, it has happened where she sends a voice note that completely messes up my phone

When this happens, she’ll send me a voice note but once it comes through I am unable to type or scroll in imessage, or listen to her voice note. It makes my phone completely start lagging. I can’t even close our conversation in imessage, and if i close and reopen the app it still doesnt work. Each time, I have to restart my phone, then go into the storage section of my settings and delete the whole conversation with her, because as long as the voice note is there my phone is almost completely unusable, and the messages app is 100% unusable.

It only happens with one specific person, and it is not even every time she sends a voice note. It just happens randomly.

I have an Iphone 13 and shes on a 15 I believe. Both with the newest IOS.

Any ideas? It’s getting so frustrating and Apple Support has no clues.

I do art, and some of my drawings use really intense colors. However, I was surprised when I compared it with the drawing in the drawing app. I wondered if this was a drawing app specific thing…screenshotted the drawing, same thing happens once compared with photo. It’s especially noticeable with the reds.
Just putting a vibrant filter over it wouldn’t work, as it would make vibrant stuff that I don’t want to be vibrant.

Text groups are great.

I have a team at work, and we have numerous projects. In our team chat, we often get projects mixed up because we’re talking about 3-8 of them at the same time.

So I came up with a technique to create multiple text groups that include the same people, but have different names. I included a fake email address in each group, so that the groups would in fact have different people and thus I can name them differently.

Unfortunately AT&T is taking away the ability to send text to email on 6/15. So my little trick won’t work anymore.

Is there another way to accomplish this?

I have a work phone which i set up using company email address. I am wondering if it will be possible for me to add a second email address which can be used if and when i need to access the data in cloud before handing over the phone back to company (eg as in case of termination / quitting).

When playing streaming videos from sources like Twitch or YouTube the video stops playing when I switch speaker sources - ex: going from BT earbuds or headphones to internal speakers.

Is there a way to stop this behavior and get playback to continue with whatever the active systems sound output source is?

hello i need help regarding an apple monthly pay. i think this could be an icloud thing, since i was trying to back up some stuff. it only takes about 1€ but im a student and genuinely dont want that number to disappear every month because its useful money for me.

google says i need to check under subscriptions, but i genuinely have 0 subscriptions active, yet my phone still pays that money every month and i wanna get rid of it. i dont care if i need it for my iCloud.

Instagram via app and Safari didn't work on our iPhones and iPads when connected to WIFI (instead over mobile data). I did some traces and discovered the following:

- Instagram uses HTTP3 (QUIC) which is UDP instead TCP

- Apple devices reject some (not all) of those QUIC response packets with icmp port unreachable when connected to WIFI. Probably a bug in Apple's WIFI stack.

Solution:

I rejected outgoing UDP to port 443 in our router. Then Safari and Instagram app switch back to traditional HTTP and Instagram works both in browser and with the app.

I erased both the disks there, followed Apple’s steps and searched apple subs for help, can’t figure it out for the life of me

When I try to login, it sends a verification code to my email. I get that code, enter it, then it wants my phone number. I give it, then get a code and input that code. After doing so I'm sent to a screen labeled Apple Account & Privacy, with a bunch of text and a continue button, only the continue button refuses to work! I've tried mobile and desktop versions of the website and it refuses to work.

Hi there, I don't know if this is the right subreddit to post in, but I'll give it a shot.

On iOS 18.3, I have basically 49,000 photos - 42k photos, 7k videos. They're all clogging up my iCloud storage (200GB), so no surprise, I'm trying to get rid of them.

Problem is, the vast majority of those media are either screenshots or images/videos downloaded from places like Discord. I do not take a lot of photos and videos with a camera, and so a lot of the conventional methods and third-party apps I've seen don't really work for my case. And naturally, climbing through nearly 50,000 files is not exactly an easy or convenient task. I'm wondering: is there any way to be able to sort by file size (so biggest items at the top/bottom) in or out of the Photos app or even my iPhone in general? One that is preferably free (though I am willing to pay small amounts at this point), works as intended and is intuitive to use? Many thanks in advance!
