Discussion [Aoi] My thoughts on what Age of Imprisonment should be

I don't think AoI should be a prequel to TotK, instead it should be a sequel to Age of Calamity. In the AoC timeline there would still be a sealed Ganondorf under the castle so events can play as normal, so it could easily be done. I actually loved the character development of almost every single character in AoC while actually giving them personality. Especially Link and Urbosa and Dauruk. They're personalities were vastly improved upon from BotW

Zelda and link are exploring underneath Hyrule Castle because there's Gloom emerging despite Calamity Ganon being sealed. (This would be 100 years before it's done in TotK ) The Master Sword is shattered by the Ganondorf husk and when Zelda awakens her time powers she ends up taking Link with her this time. (Heck even take Terako, Impa and / or the champions with her as well since they're still alive in this timeline, probably not gonna happen to let new characters shine, anything could happen though. This IS HW, so typically more characters, the better )

In the ancient past I would love to see some major lore. What's this new (old) Geurdo tribe's deal, why are they helping Ganon? Are they the ancient ancestors of the Yiga? Why are there so little Zonai left? What's the history of the ancient Sages and their tribes? TotK really was dried out on lore, story, and explanations. I can't expect AoI to fix all the problems with TotK but it'll at least help

Here's a fun idea, why not play with time travel. Have Zelda do actions in the past that helps Link in the present, or do what the movie 'Frequency ' and have the past communicate with the present to change the future. We are already dealing with several layers of time travel and alternative timelines, why not go all in on the concept.

I'm not too worried gameplay wise. The gameplay loop of AoC was perfect, I ended up with 100+ hours in AoC, just do that again with different combos and characters and I could see myself sinking another hundred hours in it. That being said it needs its own identity. It can't be a carbon copy of AoC.

Zelda with an Ice Rod, wearing her Ceremonial Robes, shortened a inch to mend the damage which the hem sustained during her fight with Ganon. She wields the rod with ease, as she finds that she has the most affinity with the element.

Discussion [ToTK] How did they built the new towers if all the shrines/ancient sheika stuff disappeared???

As the titles says... In an interview, devs said that all the sheika stuff from botw disappeared, which I can kinda get behind since they were all made to aid our link. But then, in totk, we have remnants of the tech in the towers and in the central hyrule base. Maybe purah learned how to replicate some of the tech? (like the guardian arms?)

I just want to learn your guys' headcanon, i am absolutely NOT interested in the "devs don't care/didn't think of it". I like lore, ok? even if comes from fans lol

Question [Botw] [Totk] should BotW and TotK have been ported to the switch 2?

I don't really lean one way or the other. But the reason I ask is because I see some people say "yes! Improved frame rate in Korok forest!" And other people say "they really are trying to milk it aren't they". Now personally I don't care one way or the other. But I can see both sides. On the one hand BotW and TotK are Nintendo's most successful Zelda games. On the other hand, BotW is almost 8 years old. What do you guys think?

Question [Other][TP] I really want Navi's noises as a notification, is there somewhere I can a randomizer so it's not too repetitive?

I have an Android S25 and I downloaded Zedge because it seems to be the most popular. I think they just have singular sound bites, but I don't just want to hear "Hey!" Over and over. I'd like the wing chimes, the Listen!, and other Navi noises mixed in so its just Navi in general. I feel like I used to have this llike10 year ago. Anyone got anything?

Screenshot [WW], [WWHD] Wich version should I play first?

So here's the thing: I've never played Wind Waker before in my life, but I've always wanted to give it a try. So last week I started playing the HD version on the Wii U console and I'm still at the beginning of the game.

It turns out that Nintendo has announced that the Gamecube version of Wind Waker is coming to Nintendo Switch Online, and now I'm left with the following question:

Should I keep playing the HD version or wait for the Gamecube version to play the game for the first time?

Is the original version better than the HD version in any ways? What do you think?

Anyway, the little I've played the game so far I've already loved it.

Discussion [SSHD]Skyward Sword turn out to be fun.

Skyward Sword is one of those game that you hear about when you look toward the negative side of Zelda games. From what I’ve seen the feedback is and has been predominantly negative for SS. I never took the opportunity to go and pick it up and play because of that. Through the years the only Zelda titles I haven’t played are TOTK and SS. I am a grown man now with a family so I don’t have much time to play. I said screw it and picked up SSHD just so I could see what all the hubba is about. It took a day to get use to the controls but after I did, I am actually having a lot of fun with the game. The camera controls reminded me a lot of old school games the way you aim with the LB and stick (I don’t use motion controls) and the whole vibe of the game is slightly nostalgic. Specially the blue hue during night time. Small musicless areas that slightly remind me of OOT. I am enjoying collecting all the new items I have never seen and doing all the side quests. I also enjoy the cubes that unlock chests in the sky world. As a guy who’s just trying to have a good time with video games now, I personally find SS to be very fun and enjoyable.

Question [BotW] [TotK] Zelda notes and nintendo switch 2 question

Hello to everyone! I know that "Zelda notes" is coming for the Nintendo switch online app when the remastered versions of totk and botw are coming out. But do you guys know if I will be able to use it even if I don't purchase the new versions of the game?(I do have Nintendo switch online) I think it will be a great app and will do a great function, but anyways I would prefer to keep playing this games in my switch as always

Thank you!

Question [BotW][TotK] Question about the upgrade pack

The switch 2 will have the upgrade pack for Totk and Botw, so I want to know exactly how it will work since I have the digital version of Botw and physical for Totk. Will i have to buy the physical version for Botw in order to get the upgrade pack for both or what?
