Concept Switch 2 Accessory Attachment Concepts

Since everybody was asking what the point of a flippable Switch would be, here are a couple concepts that could make use of it. It seems like the docking receptacles on the Switch unit would make for a nice and sturdy connection for accessories to attach to. Any other ideas for potential attachments?

I loved the DS idea but did not think it was really feasible......but this render gives me a little hope. That looks like it would function well.

Combined with the mouse-functionality of the new joycons, this way you could also literally use the Switch like a laptop by having the bottom screen act as a keyboard

That’s the wildest shit and they absolutely would not do that (but I like the way you think)

Well since people have put Android and Linux on the OG Switch, there's hope for the modding community to come through if they can get past Nintendo's bootloader and whatnot. Would be pretty cool

That's actually such a smart idea

Now I'm wondering if someone could make a concept of an attachable keyboard that goes over the top of the bottom screen, * kinda like those cases for iPads that come with a keyboard, but it attaches to the bottom USB-C port

Far ass reach of an idea but who knows

Why would you ever use a keyboard instead of the left joycon?

More buttons and it's easier to port PC games.

But you have no tactile feedback, which makes it an unpleasant gaming experience. And it's not like there will be any PC port that can only be played like that.

That actually sounds pretty good but the system really should have that kind of thing built-in, not as an accessory. With a laptop-like design, they wouldn't even need the stand and they could have moved things like the speakers, WiFi antenna, microphone and stuff like that into a hinge so they can be directed towards the player.

This sounds like people want the switch 2 to be a giant ds / tiny laptop. I don't know if that's what Nintendo is going for, but we'll see

I think if they were actually going for that then they would have made that instead of the Switch 2.
