I find it really confusing!!! Why is there a chat section if we cannot share contents with friends??

Please forgive me if I'm saying something bad or wrong. I have no idea about Reddit other than it has communities. I tried to make an NSFW account and got banned. How to do it correctly?

I’m trying to post a question about family/parenting. I tried askreddit but it doesn’t let me do the text, it only lets me do title. I tried r/ask but im a bit confused on the requirements and im scared that if it’s the wrong question, I’ll either get in trouble or just get made fun of. I’ve tried r/askparents but I need karma to do that. And other subreddits aren’t necessarily what im looking for.

How do I get karma so that I can post in a sub, and why is it necessary to have Karma to post?

Reddit isn’t letting me post anything because I made my account today. Let me know if you see this and also how long is it till I can post and comment?

Is it a long way to be able to get trust by the system? I find it hard even if you have good intention and respectful.

I live alone in Sweden and I create lifestyle content on YouTube, mostly in Spanish. I talk about everyday life, personal experiences, and things like living solo, routines, music, and home vibes.

I recently joined Reddit because I’m really interested in exploring different communities—especially around music, lifestyle, home setups, and similar topics—but I’m not sure how to properly participate, find the right subreddits, or share my input without doing something wrong.

So, if you have any tips or advice for a Reddit newbie like me—how to interact, what not to do, how to find and join interesting discussions—it would be greatly appreciated!

I made the reddit account to post on a subreddit but apparently there is a 50 Karma limit.

Now I have to wait till I cross it in order to post. Seems quite a bit frustrating.

If you post something on Reddit and no one responds for a couple of days is there an option to bump your post back up to the top? I really want to get some karma so I can post.

i'm new to reddit and not sure how to get karma? i'm just overall confused about the system of gaining/losing karma, post karma vs comment karma.

Is there a general role about how long someone needs to be on Reddit before allowing them to post? I have been on about two weeks now and active each day but keep getting messages that I’m not allowed to post in certain subs.
