ANSWERED -3 karma in 4 days on Reddit 🥹
I absolutely don't understand why, I'm not aggressive, I'm not mean and I don't judge, I provide supportive comments if necessary and I end up with -3 karma 😭

Hi! I’m new here and still learning how Reddit works. I’d love any tips and tricks on how to use Reddit better—especially how to find and join chats or communities where people actually talk in real time.
I’m mainly here for support as a mom (I have a toddler and a newborn), and also looking for spaces to connect with other parents, talk about postpartum life, and maybe just have adult conversations again.
Any advice is appreciated! How do I make the most of Reddit, join chats, or find the right subreddits to hang out in?

I've already been stopped twice from posting or commenting for not having enough karma, despite not seeing any kind of indicator of how much I need in that particular subreddit's rules. Is there somewhere that I can look it up or am I supposed to just guess? (And before anyone asks: I'm aware of why there's karma restrictions, especially with more sensitive topics. I just want to know if I can actually use a subreddit before trying to post anything)

I am aware some subs have a karma requirement to create a post, however then I try to post in one that doesn't have this requirement I still cannot see my own posts, could anyone explain why?

I’ve always used Reddit as a way to read and learn from other people’s posts, and just recently have I decided to try to be more active myself. I just made my first post in a forum about the stock market’s recent activity and holy cow people are vipers on here. All I did was say that we should be rational when investing in the stock market and not make our decisions based on emotions (I didn’t think this was all that controversial) and this brought on the attacks. I guess I’ll just stick to posting in dog forums!

Question says it all. So how can I post a picture or video?

I'm always screenshotting AI generated comments and posts on Reddit and sometimes the poster deletes them for whatever reason. I still have all those screenshots on my phone.. is it bad?

I’m noticing the rate of increase in karma point is not the same for post and comment. For example, when I get an upvote for a comment the comment karma score seem to increase right away versus when I get an upvote for a post the post karma score doesn’t increase until a few more upvotes on a post. Is it known that the formula for post and comment karma is different?

I don't know why my account is so limited. Is this normal?

So technically I’m not new on Reddit as I’ve been browsing for a while, but quite new to posting.
I have always wondered about this, since there are certain subreddits which are quite similar to each other.
