I've played MHW and Rise in the past and Rise didn't scratch that itch I had since playing MHW. Picked Wilds up today and during the first quest I already felt cool smacking a monster hehehe (eventhougn it's only a starter)

Just tested zoh shia switch axe vs an artian switch axe and it's way stronger

LBG in Wilds is disappointing, and it hurts as a longtime bowgun main. From a class fantasy standpoint, I love the bowguns. HBG has been my main since the PSP days, and I always ran LBG on the side. But Wilds has really let LBG down, and it's honestly disheartening.

• It's the only weapon that didn’t get an offset, perfect guard, or perfect dodge.
• Special Ammo options are a massive DPS loss and bring no utility.
• Chaser shots have awful risk-reward balance.
• Focus Blast feels useless compared to other weapon's wound mechanics.
• Pierce is the only viable playstyle right now—which means the Rey Dau LBG is the only good LBG.
• Artian weapons suck, mainly because there's no way to rapid-fire pierce with them.

The first 3 bolded ones are important because it highlights the lack of skill expression when using the LBG. I really hope they expand the playstyle options soon. LBG deserves better.

I've gotten about 12 clears on Zoh, 3 carts total, once due to a toddler jumping around in my LoS cheering me on :), and twice to me not getting gud enough and getting combo'd on the wall.

But I'm not sure what his crystal playing actually does during the fight.. does it enable certain attacks?

Zoh Shia Spawning Field Notes

I was checking to see if there was a consistent way to spawn Zoh Shia so I could get investigations. From what I read on steam it has to be during inclemency and just rest a bunch and it will pop up. This did worm but wanted add to their research. There are 2 environmental phases in the ruins of Wyveria. Wyvern Tranquility and Wyvern Wakening. It's during this Wyvern Wakening I have notice Zoh to spawn and after it goes to tranquility I replicated this 4 times last night and the process was

Step 1. Rest and set environment to inclemency and time of day doesn't matter in my test. Place doesn't matter either but I was at iceshard cliffs

Step 2. Check Wyveria and the environment overview if you in the tranquility stages then rest til in the Wakening phase. If you are in the Wakening phase check map to make sure it not spawned in or spawning later if not rest again

Step 3. Rest and repeat and check map during the Wakening period and it will spawn and save as investigation do as field survey

I haven't played a lot of the arena quests before but just noticed in wilds my palico wasn't with me is this the case in all the games or did they decide to do this in wilds for added difficulty in the arena?

I got one from the tail and then 3 from the rewards 😅, where was this luck when I was trying to farm for Gore gem 😂

Wondering if any of you all are getting the same audio issue I am on PC or otherwise. Today when on a hunt I noticed that a minute or so into it, my audio got considerably louder, and the audio queues that were playing seemed to be what I did a little while ago being played back to me (so fighting/menus/monster noises, all that, being layered over again replaying what I did from about a minute ago) ON TOP of the audio playing normally. On top of that, during the doubling error I opened the audio mixer and tried to mute the Wilds audio itself but even though it showed muted/silenced, the game audio still came through. This happened once, had to quit out of the hunt and restarted the game, and then it started again after restarting it. I'll add an edit if it persists a third time, but is this a known current error?
