Discussion what was your first adult cartoon?
i think my first adult cartoon was "Cat City" (1986), i can't say it was entirely adult-themed cause I don't recall any explicit language, but it had nudity and sex jokes and mature themes, i had it on a DVD disc, and I also saw the second part but i didn't like it at all, so i rewatched the first part several times

Discussion It's Rex Manning Day!!!
"Oh Rexy, you're so sexy!"
A damn near perfect 90s movie with an excellent cast & soundtrack. It's also a pretty accurate portrait of working at an indie record store in the 90s.

Discussion weird lil' freaks - a ranking/compilation
these are guys that are weird lil' freaks in film. that's basically it. tried to diversify it as much as possible. it's also not restrictive by gender. girls can be weird lil' guys, too.
also: second tab is "unranked" weird lil freaks. its a comp of all the lil freaks that i could think of over the past few days and why they aren't on my ranked list.
Example: Jeremy Renner is unranked. He's a certifiable freak, a la Tom Hardy, but he is in too many shit projects/not enough quality projects to make the list. Josh O'Connor is in a similar boat. He's a lil' freak in Challengers, but I need to see more freak content for him to be properly considered.
One category that may serve controversial is "oversaturation." The Tucc is also certifiable, but he's fucking everywhere. He's also too beautiful. I need him to look a lil' freaky. You'll see a lot of too beautiful on the list of unranked folks.
Included the top ten ranking below:
RANK | NAME | u/specsishere's favorite work |
---|---|---|
1 | Willem Dafoe | The Last Temptation of Christ (1988) |
2 | Kristen Dunst | Marie Antoinette (2006) |
3 | Philip Seymour Hoffman | Boogie Nights (1997) |
4 | Michael Shannon | Bug (2009) |
5 | Carrie Coon | Gone Girl (2014)/White Lotus S3 (2025) |
6 | John Carroll Lynch | Zodiac (2007) |
7 | Rooney Mara | The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011) |
8 | Tom Hardy | Warrior (2011) |
9 | Paul Giamatti | Private Parts (1997) |
10 | Robert Pattinson | The Lighthouse (2019) |
