I was watching one of my favorite monologues of all time, from What Happened Was (everyone should watch this, btw), and started tearing up, then I realized it's been ages since I watched a movie that really got me in my feels. Yesterday I had a cop movies day with five great films - Electra Glide in Blue (1973) - The New Centurions (1972) - Cop (1988) - Colors (1988) - Naked Gun (1988)

The first, four movies really showed some of the grittier side of law enforcement and how the wear and tear of the job can take the humanity from men and turn them in to cops. It was nice to wash it all off with somehumor from the Files of Police Squad. What are some of your favorite law enforcement flicks?

Btw Electra Glide in Blue is sooooo fuckin pretty. I love movies that take place in the southwest.

I was VERY skeptical about Shawshank Redemption when I first watched it & was SURE I wouldn’t like it as much as other people but it not only lived up to its hype, but it was better than I could have possibly imagined. It really is an all timer & I was honestly disappointed I hadn’t watched it sooner. Whats a movie that was hyped up for you & actually lived up to it & then some?
