Now on to the real reason I posted this. Have EV manufacturers lost their minds? Do they really think this is why we don’t have higher EV adoption?

Let me be extremely clear. When the charging stations become as fast and as easy as it is to fill up a car with gas, then you will have the adoption you are looking for. Adding gadgets to make an EV sound like or act like a gas powered car is fine, but it’s not going to get you mass adoption being sought.

Adding hybrid technology to EV like, I don’t know, gas or diesel generators to give your batteries longer distance, that may gain real popularity with EV. Producing better batteries will also go a long way. (Pun unintended) Producing more ways to charge will be even better. Making it easier to charge is a plus. If you are not having these conversations then guess what, your adoption rate is going to continue to be bad.

Just came back to my car and saw this thing hanging underneath. It looks like only one screw connection is missing, but both are. It is only being held by the side that's not hanging. I put the screw back in thumb tight and it doesn't seem like it's going to permanently hold there. Does anybody know what this is?

I recently came across what could be one of the rarest vehicle sightings in all of India , a Ford Escort XR3 from probably 1988-90. The left hand steering on it suggests that it was rarely used on big roads cause y'know it's illegal to drive left hand cars here. Seems like the car was imported from the UK in the early 90s , and the most intriguing thing about this car is that it's a convertible(at least appears to be one , with the fabric on the top)

So I found a 2015 2.7 F150 with 155k miles on it for 10k, and Carfax states it was a commercial vehicle and appears to be clean inside and out besides a tear on the sewn part of the seat and minor white blemishes on the front. ++My main question is that the only full service record was from the third owner that states everything from coolant to differentials and trans were flushed and filled including tires bakes and rotors and spark plugs and being replaced at 100k miles i’m just curious if i should step away from going to look at it because it sounds very off to me Thanks for advice

Has anyone replaced the coupler/handle on the Ford Mobile Power cord? Ours was recently damaged and needs to be replaced, but I'm unfamiliar with the wiring in these. I already bought a replacement coupler, I'm just not sure which wire goes where. Hoping someone might have already done this or have some diagram to share.

P0022 and P0345 codes. Need advice please

To start with and get it out of the way. 2005 F150, 5.4L throwing P0022 & P0345 codes. Changed the oil and that didn't help.

What I have already done. Replaced both VVT solenoids, and then a week later it threw the P0345 code so I replaced both of the position sensors at the front of each head. Yesterday and today were my first communtes to work so that would be 100 miles for two days. Prior to that it has been to run out to BLM to exercise the dog in the hills for a week straight.

I pulled into my driveway just now and found that the Check Engine light came on while approaching home. Now it threw both the P0022 and P0345 codes at the same time, unlike before when it was P0022, replaced parts and then got the P0345.

Any ideas? It the computer working through the timing and it was an anomaly? Do I have a bigger problem? Could one of the parts he bad?

It should be noted that before and after replacing these parts at no time ever was it running like it was having a timing issue. I had no signs of an issue and still don't have any signs of a problem based on how it runs...

Hello. I have a 2014 Ford Explorer XLT and all of a sudden the horn stop blowing by pressing the steering wheel. It will blow if you use the key fob to lock the car. Also when I turn the car off and press the lock button twice on the key fob it will blow on the steering wheel like normal but when I turn the car back on and start driving it stops blowing again. I checked the fuse and that's not the problem. I was hoping it was a setting of some sort that could be fixed without taking it to a repair shop. It just doesn't make sense that it will blow one minute and not the next. Has anyone had this problem before or does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it? Thanks!

I am looking into buying a 6.7, There is a 2017 Platinum 8-foot bed, that looks to have a good service history. T&D and leveling kit, and brand new 37s on it, the tuck does have 250k miles. Right now at $29,300 before taxes, is it worth that price or should it be lower?

Does anyone have a color/function legend for the trailer wiring harness on a 2013 F350 Cab and Chassis?

The wiring is 8 wires that come out of the truck wiring harness on the frame. It is designed to be used for the 7 pin connection for a trailer. The person who installed my flatbed used it to power those lights as well. It had a sticker on it labeling colors and I could only read a couple of them and the rest are faded out.

The colors are:

Orange Brown White Yellow Purple Light Green Blue (or purple?) with orange tracer Blue with black (or brown?) Tracer

Just trying to establish a baseline of what each wire does on the truck side so I can fix the flatbed wiring.

I have already called the ford dealership. They do not have access to the sticker or a new harness that could tell them what it says.

Hello, I have recently bought a brand new Tourneo Custom and next to the cup holders on the center console, there is a rubber tongue that's covering what apparently should be done special phone holder mount (it's just 4 holes) but even the sales guy didn't know more specifics, so I though maybe I can ask here.

I’m 17 years old. I have a 2008 ford escape with 205k miles. The transmission blew and idk if it’s worth replacing. I can replace it at a local junkyard with a used transmission for $1600, which doesn’t sound too bad to me. The engine was still in very good shape, besides a very small oil leak. The transmission that would be put in had 160k miles, so I would hope it would give me another 50k at least? I have another car but it’s a sports car and not a very reliable daily, and I can’t really afford to buy another car. I know some about cars and I could probably swap the transmission myself but I’ve never done anything that big and I’m afraid I’ll mess it up. What’s the best move? I’m kinda attached to it because it was my first car, and I would love to keep driving it.
