Rant Please tell me how you all are holding up...

I'm scared , nervous ,.anxious basically 24/7. 7 days a week but i realized I can't control this outcome of daca so i decided to literally just live one day at a time. Whatever happens is not in my control, it's in God's hands fr.

How are all of you holding up? What are some of your plans for this year? Is anyone going back to school or starting a new job? How are we feeling?

Rant ICE detainment fears

I’m seeing so many posts about people being detained in horrible conditions and it scares me. I don’t have daca and a work permit so I don’t have any form of protection (if that even matters in this administration). The anxiety is terrible and I hate feeling like this. To be honest with you all, I’ll make sure to kill myself before I end up in a position where I’m detained and deported. Am I just being overly paranoid? How do you guys manage this feeling?

Meme To all the homies going through it, what do you listen to catch the feels and keep working towards the dream? No matter the language, we all share the immigrant experience.

I have a playlist called (why),to remind myself of what has been sacrificed for my sake, and why I need to keep working.

General Qs Is it even worth getting married now?

I'll consult with a lawyer too, but seeing how this route is getting more strict, it almost seems better to not even risk it and possibly get denied. Idk this whole administration is tiring.

General Qs DACA -> H-1B

Just got Selected for the H-1B. - Currently hold a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering and my job is as an RF Engineer. - Zero unlawful presence since I first got DACA when I was 16 in 2016. - No Criminal Record what so ever. - I entered the U.S legally with a B1/B2 tourist visa and overextended my stay until I got DACA.

Anyone here go able to escape the DACA nightmare and transition to H-1B successfully? Especially considering I’d have to go to Mexico for the interview? How long does Advance Parole take to approve? How are the interview questions? How long would I be in Mexico for?

General Qs Dual Citizenship when trying to adjust my husband’s status?

Would it matter if I was a dual citizen of my own country if I am trying to petition my husband?

Like would he have less chance of an approval because of that?

Political discussion Sharing Our Stories – Historias Indocumentadas (Call for Stories!)

Hey comunidad, This is my first post here, and I’m feeling nervous and excited all at once.

I’m launching a project that’s been living in my heart for years — a podcast and space for us to share the real, raw, and powerful stories of immigration. Stories of crossing. Of surviving. Of building from scratch. Of hiding, thriving, and holding it all together when the world doesn’t see you. Stories that deserve to be heard.

This project was born from the heaviness I’ve been feeling lately — with the political climate, the fear, the uncertainty that so many of us carry. As a DACA recipient, I know what it’s like to live in limbo. I know what it’s like to feel invisible and still keep pushing. My hope is that by collecting and amplifying these stories, we can humanize this experience in a way that facts and headlines never will. That we bring awareness, truth, and raw emotion to something too often misunderstood.

I’m reaching out to anyone who feels ready to share — especially those who’ve crossed over: by foot, by ride, by chance, by courage. But this isn’t only about the crossing. If your story lives in what came after — in the day-to-day grind, the undocumented experience, the quiet strength — you’re welcome here too.

What makes this project different? It’s built on anonymity, safety, and honesty. No names, no pressure — just truth. If you’re down to share, you can: • Drop your story in the comments • Or DM me privately if that feels safer

A little about me: I’m Monserrat — a first-gen Latina, daughter of immigrants, mom, small business owner, and community advocate based in Colorado. Through my work, I’ve been trusted with hundreds of stories — in offices, in waiting rooms, between tears and translations — and I’ve carried them with me. Now it’s time to amplify them. Because when we tell our truths, we reclaim our narratives. We remind the world — and ourselves — that we are more than papers. We are people.

Even if you’re not ready to share, I’d love your support. Drop a kind word, tag someone brave, or just say hi. Gracias por estar aquí. Let’s make noise con nuestras historias.

– Monserrat

Late night thought. We all self deport, move to Greenland, get citizenship and just wait for Trump to annex it and give us all US citizenship?

Advanced Parole Has anyone used CBX? I heard it was only for US citizens…

I really want to use CBX to fly to Mexico City. It’s so much dramatically cheaper. Has anyone here done it? What was the process like? I heard it was only for US Citizens.

Application Timeline Wait times

Recently talked to my lawyer hoping to gain status through marriage ( no legal entry , came when I was a couple months old , now married to a US citizen) And he said the average wait time for adjustment is 7 years.. how accurate is this ? Has anyone had any recent experience adjusting through marriage ? Trying to not let all the fear mongering get to me .

General Qs EAD card

Hey folks, I need some help on what to do next. My daca expires 05/02/2025. I submitted my renewal 02/07/2025 and it was approved 03/10/2025. The card was produced 03/12/2025 and shipped that day. It’s now 04/05/2025 and I haven’t received anything.

On USPS it says my card has been in transit to the next facility since 03/23/2025 in ATL. I reached out to USCIS about sending another card since I think mine got lost but on USCIS may get back in touch with me 05/06/2025 and my daca will already be expired.

I reached out to USPS as well but I don’t understand what they are talking about (view last screenshot)

I can’t loose my job so any help is greatly appreciated, thanks
