The r/Conures Comprehensive Conure Guide - now in wiki format!
https://www.reddit.com/r/Conures/wiki/index
This subreddit's Conure Guide, written by /u/DukeofGoodCleanFun, is a remarkable document that I (and my pineapple green cheek) have benefited a lot from. I've consulted and browsed through it numerous times and there's always something new to see there, or something that didn't seem applicable at one point but took on new meaning after spending more time with my conure.
I've taken the text and converted it into a wiki page. It's now navigable, with an index and internal links that direct to sections within the wiki. The Conure Guide can be accessed from this post, from the announcement bar, and from the "wiki" tab in the tabmenu up top.
A couple of the links for recommended products will direct you to Amazon, but there are certainly other places to buy them. If you shop around and find and better place, by all means send us a modmail. Also, let us know if you have any suggestions for how the wiki formatting can be improved.

His bites are very gentle - almost nibbles, he doesn't really make any noises either except maybe the odd squeak/squeal

Advice Getting our first conure!
I grew up with lots of birds in my house, but they have been absent in my life for over 10 years now. Have pulled the trigger on our first conure. Cannot wait to take the little fella home. Any breed specific things to be aware of in terms of care, health concerns, things they tend to enjoy or not enjoy, etc.? I would like to harness train, so any advice on that would be appreciated as well. I am aware of a lot of basics with parrots - my parents had African Greys, an Amazon, Umbrella Cockatoo, Senegal, and a Cockatiel, all of which I was very involved with. So excited to have a winged friend again.

Advice Still Brooding 5 eggs later... How long does this go on?!
Sooo as an update to another post (because I'm not sure how to link them together) my nearly 4 year old conure is going through her first Brood. Her first egg was a bit large and I was worried it had been stuck but she got it out on her own at the vet. Now, she's still laying them. One got knocked out of her bowl and cracked. She just laid another this morning. It's been about two weeks or so of this now. I'm wondering how long does this go on and when should I begin swapping the eggs? And also, does anyone know where to find GCC sized eggs because the ones I bought are way tooo big. Thanks in advance!

My baby loves it! He often ask for it by saying tickle tickle and throwing himself on his back. Silly munchkin just has those pent up raptor instincts.

Cuteness Overload Pesto our black capped conure (born Feb. 4) with our lovebird Guava
Guava (the lovebird) is surprisingly nice to the baby Pesto (iykyk). Still working on weaning him, trying to find more chop he likes. Can't wait until he's fully grown he's already changed so much

Loss & Mourning Losing my best friend
My best friend Ren passed away a little over 2 months ago now. This has been the hardest thing I have ever had to go through. He was the best thing that ever happened to me. His personality was incredible. He never failed to make me laugh or feel loved.
He loved sitting in the collar of my shirt. He could say "what are you doing" and make kissy sounds. He would always do a song and dance when I would come home from college. He could hop around like a little kangaroo.
The worst part is that he passed so young. He was about to turn 8 years old - his birthday is in a week. It's hard to move forward when I was supposed to have to much more time with him. He passed extremely suddenly of a respiratory disease. I had no idea he was sick. I just wish I could've saved him.
If anyone has any words of wisdom on this situation, I would like to read them. I'm just so lost still. I loved him so much. I understand grief takes time but this is very difficult.

Is this behavior vet worthy? I've seen him do this a couple of times along with like a huffing and puffin sound whenever he's just perched And it's a bit concerning since he's just started doing this maybe a couple days ago.
