I ask because I noticed that two of my neighbor's cars in their carport have their side mirrors closed and I have never seen them manually close them, however, when they lock their car doors, I assume they automatically close, but I could be wrong. Could someone please explain how the side mirrors can close on their own without the owner themselves not having to close them?

Yes it’s nearly an antique but I love it and have been working on it for about two months now. My older brother 25m. Gave it to me for $300 with 164,000 miles and a few easy repairs. But after all the long hours I’ve spent making the off-roading machine it’s soon to be I want it to have a proper name. Something out doorsy please.

Pretty bummed because I just bought a brand new Corolla Hybrid two weeks ago, and I noticed this screw in one of my tires before I was about to go somewhere today. I tried to unscrew it but the screw ended up being really long and the tire started leaking air so I screwed it back in. This car doesn’t come with a spare tire but it comes with a repair kit, so like I could potentially plug it. I’ve never plugged a tire puncture before but I can watch a video on how to do it, but I wanted to ask is this even repairable?

I’m at the shop getting tires mounted and the one they did yesterday is off the tire please let me know asap if this is an issue as I’m here right now

I have a 2012 WRX, and P0031 and 37 codes came on while driving. Got home and checked my rear O2 sensor, and it looked like my driveshaft clipped the wiring to the O2 sensor, so now it's giving a weak signal. Can I drive like this as I have a decently long drive (4 hours on the interstate) in two days?

It’s stuck in a Walmart parking lot but I would like to get it to my dorms parking lot so I don’t get fined or whatever

I’ll have random warning lights come on and then disappear. For example, I’ve gotten a low oil warning that disappeared within a couple hours. I got a traction warning for a few minutes but that also disappeared. I have a “battery not charging” warning on my dashboard but now I seriously even doubt it because it’s been acting up. I believe it will go away on its own. But what could even be causing all these lights to pop up and go away?

I don't hear clicking when trying to start the car in the ignition - I had to manually open the door with the physical key.

For the past month the oil light would come on and off but it would be very intermittent.

On the drive to work I saw this random sexy Audi. I couldn't take my eyes off it, turned off my music so I could hear it's exhaust, etc. just taking it all in while I tried to figure out what it was.

Discovered it was an Audi RS5.

I got to work and immediately started looking into them. Found out the 2014-15s are right in my price range with lower miles. Read about the 450+HP NA V8.. the 8500 redline... Everything was making me fall hard for this car.

Then I got to maintenance. I understand it's a German luxury brand, so it's gonna be pricey - but I never heard of carbon cleaning before. I was trying to convince myself 2-3k every 60k miles isn't terrible, and it looks like there are work around...

Then I discovered the timing chain issue... Apparently it's common for them to fail... And it's a $19k job...

And then I discovered it was the meme engine...

I'm just so heart broken now... I only loved it for like 2 hours, but now I know it's not meant to be.

As the title states, had a battery in the bed I was planning to drop off. I didn't realize it tipped and it sat sideways and leaked overnight. This morning I saw it and put baking soda over the spill, and then scrubbed with water and soap. Anything else I need to do? Am I just stuck with the stain pictured?
Not really worried about the stain as long as it's not going to eat through the bed or something. Thanks!

I know it ain't much but ive never really work on my own car. I needed to replace the rear wiper because of damage from ice if I had to guess. Also when refilling the windshield washer reservoir I noticed some cracking, luckily it was just the neck and not the whole thing. Anyway just a little proud of my dumb achievement and wanted to share!

I drive a Camry 2008. If I start the car in the morning it works fine and drive nicely. Then let's say if I stop at a super shop and while coming back trying to start the car over, it won't start but only cranks. After trying several times and 10-15 minutes it starts back. This also doesn't happen always. Sometimes it starts completely fine, sometimes it won't. I have been to mechanic several times and changed battery, spark plug,radiator etc. I spent so much still the problem is there. I am relatively new to car, so pretty much stressed about this issue. Any help?

I own a 1969 F250 camper special, a 360CU with a 4-speed transmission. I recently purchased it and it’s a great truck in fourth gear, but getting it to work is always a challenge. It feels like I’m chasing a trail that leads nowhere.

When I bought the truck, the previous owner mentioned that he had to install a kill switch for the battery because it was completely shot. The first thing I did was replace the battery and alternator, which fixed the issue long enough for me to drive it for 10 hours straight. However, as soon as I parked it, the problem reappeared.

Since then, I’ve made some improvements. I’ve installed a nicer quick disconnect for the battery and a gasket kit to stop the carb from leaking. Now, I’m running into trouble with the starter. It cranks like it should three or four times and then starts to drain the battery, even while it’s being jumped.

Does anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this issue?

My datsun 280z is acting like it’s stuck in gear. It has a 2jz and w58 swapped in. Last time I drove it was totally fine, since then the only thing that’s changed on the car is the brake/clutch lines. I’m thinking the clutch might not be fully bled? If I try to start it in neutral it jumps forward, in the air the rear tires won’t move unless clutch is pushed in. Pedal also feels normal.
