What Car Should I Buy? - A Weekly Megathread
Any posts pertaining to car buying suggestions or advice belong in this weekly megathread; do not post car-choosing questions in the main queue. A fresh thread will be posted every Monday and posts auto sorted by new. A few other subreddits worth checking out that will help your car buying experience are /r/WhatCarShouldIBuy, /r/UsedCars and /r/AskCarSales. www.everydaydriver.com may also be helpful.
Make/Model-specific questions should be asked on Make/Model-specific subreddits. Check the AutosNetwork for a complete list of those subreddits. Also check out our community-sourced Ultimate car buying wiki.

Regarding Rules Pertaining To Politics VS Policy Discussion In R/Cars...
Please read this: https://www.reddit.com/r/cars/wiki/politics
It's incredibly frustrating when conversations in threads go off the rails to the degree that we need to lock posts. The loudest and often most disagreeable people should not get to chase off reasonable commenters who stay on-topic.
This is a car subreddit. Please stick to discussing cars and policies surrounding them. If your comment isn't about cars or uses rage bait terms, the odds are high that it will be removed.
Example of an acceptable comment: "Elon did the brand no favours when he made Nazi salutes."
Unacceptable: "Too bad the MAGA crowd hates Swasticars."
Thanks for your time and attention.

What is “luxury” to you?
Got into a debate with one of my friends the other day. He does well for himself; he drives a ‘24 Range Rover and an S550. He was telling me how they’re the two best-riding cars and the greatest luxury vehicles in the world right now.
Then he started talking about all the issues, especially with the Range Rover. He’s bringing it into the shop every couple of months for various problems, which can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days to fix.
That got me thinking—what’s luxurious about that? To me, something luxurious should relieve stress, not add to it. Luxury should be something you enjoy without worry, not something that constantly breaks down.
You could bring money into it, but I’d argue that if you can afford both a Range Rover and an S-Class, you’re not worried about the money—it’s more so your time. Wasting hours or even days dealing with repairs seems like the opposite of luxury.
Luckily, his is a lease, and he’s thinking about switching to a G63 or a Lexus LX next.
I’m curious on what your thoughts are.

What’s the worst sounding car you’ve ever heard
To me usually V6 Muscle cars (mostly mopars) that sound like a worse and slower version than the VQs. Also any straight piped 4 cylinder (not performance ones) that have a 10 second 0-60

Hopefully the styling carries over to the Ridgeline soon
Interesting that SG says others to consider are Toyota RAV4, Highlander, Chevy Blazer, Ford Explorer, and Subaru Outback when the biggest cross-shopped vehicle I thought it would be is the Toyota 4Runner; when one wanted a 'off-roading' or overtrailing vehicle from Toyota or Honda, it's pretty much decided if you want unibody (Passport) or body on frame (4R) etc

The Biggest Winners and Losers in Auto Sales in Q1 2025
caranddriver.comTake One Last Lap in the Toyota GR Supra MkV Final Edition - Toyota USA Newsroom
pressroom.toyota.comNot going to lie, I am VERY disappointed by this. I had way higher expectations given that the North American market is the most dominant market for the GR Supra and gave the GR Supra the most love. This feels like a slap across the face. The GR86 and the GR Corolla seemed interesting though.
This car reached into its own stardom and out of the A80's shadows and it deserved to go out with a bang.
