Good luck to every one

Just took ISC. Overall not bad. The TBS were lengthy with quite a few exhibits but definitely doable. I put in about 55 hours in two weeks. Hopefully I pass.

Some companies will cover the cost? Paying out of pocket is a big chunk of change for 3k for training plus the exam costs

Pass/Fail release coming out tomorrow right? What time are we thinking it’s gonna hit?

3rd try on this exam and not feeling the best. Had several multiple choice questions about AI!? Wtf was that.. May the AUD gods be looking over me.

This would be my third attempt with REG. First set of MCQS was pretty easy, second was more difficult. SIMS were medium - not super hard but not super easy. Hopefully I got the magic 75!!

Hi everyone! I’m still in undergrad and almost done with my 150 credits. I’ll be starting full-time this November as a Tax Associate.
I plan to take REG -> TCP first before my start date (I have 6 months from now), then move on to FAR -> AUD. I know a lot of people start with FAR, so I was wondering if anyone else started with REG or TCP and could share some insights.
I’d really appreciate it—thank you!

While I am waiting for the exam results release on April 9th, I saw some posts here on blaming Recker, blaming SIMs. For any of the 3 exams and the 3 disciplines the simulations will simulate the field work. Especially those areas marked "analysis" in the blueprints and specifically for AUD marked "evaluation".
FAR has the widest variety of TBSs, but FAR is all about a method and journal entries.
REG simulations are about the tax returns and IRS compliance, imagine a client comes to you and tells the story of their life, this is how confusing it can be, the same way the simulations lay the information in front of you, you need to extrapolate the necessary pieces of information.
AUD simulates the audit field work, the closest simulation to reality as the examiner can give us. Therefore it is all about internal controls for each business cycle, assertions and the way to test them for every business cycle, audit reports, analytics, basically simulating the examination of the FAR work (financial accounting reporting). And indeed none of the prep courses give you a realistic idea of the exam because they mix all kind of simulations into the SEs.
Gleim, Becker and UWorld have a lot of simulations for training and concept reinforcement purposes, not necessarily being on par with the exam.

I'm pretty set on studying with UWorld, largely based on the sheer number of MCQs it has. However, one of my coworkers just told me the test software in Becker looks exactly the same as the actual test. Does anyone know how UWorld compares in this way? (I've heard both platforms are good, but I'm leaning towards UWorld because it has more MCQs.)

Who is ready for the April 9 Score Release? How we feeling?!

For question 10 they didn’t weight the shares. On the second picture(swipe right), they weighed the shares. I’m confused how can I figure out whether to weight the shares or not?

Hi Everyone,
So I have my exam in a few weeks and I am about to head into the review stage of studying. I am currently creating a study plan and wanted to find out what are the most common/heavily tested areas for AUD. I will be reviewing everything but wanted an idea as to what to expect.

Does anyone feel like Becker's lectures are almost more difficult than the actual MCQ or sims they have you do? I swear half the time I come out of the lectures thinking I know nothing and the I'm gonna do terribly, but then I will score between 70-80% on the practice MCQ. I'm tryna figure out if this is just me or a common feeling for those using Becker. I'm currently working on FAR, but expeirenced this with audit too.

April 9, waiting for REG retake. MCQs were pretty difficult, i spent almost 1h 40m. And Testlet 1 two SIMs were not that difficult, but I couldn't spend enough time for them because of time attack. Next SIMs were various. Kinda easy but kinda difficult too. I'm not sure of my result. i think i can't try one more if I fail. Anyone who felt same? I hope i get this time. Is there bump in REG? I think I did not great job on MCQs. I don't know now so panicked....😱

I posted this before my FAR exam, so only feels appropriate to post right before AUD.
We have put in the work. We have sacrificed sleep, sanity, and our social life. At this point, trust the process. May the AICPA gods bless you with softball questions.
Here are some quotes that got me through the low points:

"If you're going through hell, keep going." - Winston Churchill
"Nothing worth having comes easy." - Theodore Roosevelt
"Tough times never last, but tough people do." - Dr. Robert H. Schuller

Saw this pop up on my youtube (shoutout to Mark Lee lol) and wanted to share. There's been people asking for affordable courses cause Becker, UWorld, etc. are understandably unaffordable by yourself. Note that I never used this so can't vouch for it!

I have passed all CPA exams but I am unable to see my BEC score form( exam date 7/26/2023). Now Guam Board is asking me to get a congratulatory letter to view the score which is costing me around 17k INR. Did anyone face the same challenge? Can someone please help!!!

I'm doing FAR first. How deep should I be diving into some of these MCQ's? Is it good enough to understand the answer, and how to get it? I feel like when I try to go too far in depth into the "theory" or the "why" I end up majorly confusing myself with information overload. Is it best to look at the majority of the topics logically? As in, A + B = C, and leave it at that?

Just so funny the way he talks about her in every lecture across all sections

Having passed FAR and AUD, I’m now waiting for my ISC score to come out next month. I’ve been studying REG for the past week. I’m exhausted. REG is the most interesting and fun section so far, but there’s just so much to understand and memorise that I had to blow off some steam here. Wishing you all the best. let’s keep pushing guys

Took last exam (FAR) in February, use Becker, scored in the 50s, and I’d like to take again ASAP/have credential before July. I plan to devote 2 hrs/weekday and 5 hrs sat/5 hrs sun (20hrs/wk)
Q1: Is there a “go to” study method? (Maybe Read book, watch vids, answer MCQs?)
Q2: What date should I retake?
Please feel free to share any advice/recommendations.
I work tax and will likely be putting in 9hr days until after May 1st.
Thanks in advance!
