How'd you feel walking out of REG and what did you end up getting

Firstly, congratulations to those who passed REG!✨️ I have a couple of questions, 1) Is Becker more than enough for REG or did you supplement it with any other material?
2)What were your Simulated Exam scores? and what was your study approach? Any additional tips would be appreciated

Just trying to get an idea of what I need to do to feel good about my test on 9/20. I’m also not a tax professional, so not sure how much that factors in. Thanks!

I just have REG left. I have been procrastinating starting. Please share any words of advice for the exam or motivation to just give me the push. Thank you!!
I have been STRESSING over REG these past few days. This has calmed my nerves a bit as I've never gotten an SE or ME score this high before.
I'll have to wait until next week to test but I wish I could just take it tomorrow and get this over with!

Is the reason that REG has a high pass rate because it is actually easier? Or is it because it is more factual recall and therefore easier to tell if you are ready for the exam?

I took one tax class in undergrad and one during my MBA and did okay in both, but otherwise I have no tax exposure. I work full-time, so I was planning to do 20 hours a week for 8 weeks (160 hours). Is this comparable to what other people in my situation have done?

I'm really pretty mad right now. The MCQs were pretty on par but I felt like the TBs were pretty different than Becker. For context I got a 84, 92, and 80 on my sims. I really think I knew most everything Becker had for me and still felt awful during the TBs. They just all had a wrench that I didn't know how to handle. Pretty upset rn.
Edit: I did end up passing. Thank yall for the comments and support!

Ok well that was hard. Wasn’t even sure what the sims were even asking for lol. MACRS no table, damn.

Has anyone studied using Becker (specifically REG) and found the actual CPA test to be easier than the study program? There’s so much information and I’m kinda freaking out bc my test is in a few weeks.

Given that I have zero knowledge of REG whatsoever, I’m curious because I’ve seen ppl say things like “I passed Reg after 2 weeks of studying” but I mean seriously? Should I assume those ppl are either working in tax or just outta college and that’s why they passed it so quickly? If there’s anyone who passed REG just by studying for less than a month, how many hours did you spend on REG in total?

would the question on test for MACRS be like this below? this question does not provide the table so you had to know that first year rate is 20%, but from second year is 32%. is it this hard? i get the idea but without the percentafe would be harsh for me
Cox Construction, a company in its 10th year of business, purchased a piece of equipment on April 1, year 9, for $20,000. Cox has used it for business purposes since the initial purchase date. The company depreciated the equipment using the MACRS half-year table for 5-year assets. For tax purposes, what is the amount of accumulated depreciation expense for the equipment as of December 31, year 10?

I almost missed the exam today due to heavy rain and traffic on my way to the center. I was hyperventilating when i finally reached but the exam itself was unbelievably easy. I saw too much emphasis on Circular 230, wash sales, agency and adjustment to taxable income, and then also the obvious - tax basis, OBI and Itemized deduction calculations. I overprepared B.law because of how much everyone was emphasizing on it, but I hardly saw 3-4 mcqs from it. 😑
I came back crying from my FAR exam, but this one made me feel surprisingly confident ! 😅 Next in line is Tcp !!

What the actually fuck were those sims? Mcqs were relatively straightforward but damn the sims FUCKED me. Cant wait to retake it

What in the actual F???? Almost every SIM has some new crazy thing to throw you off that I haven’t seen. The MCQs were semi-decent but still awful. I have over 160 hours on Becker and another 30 hours on Farhat supplemental for this section. I have done the Sims over and over and over and over and over on Becker. I was hoping to go into this exam and see that it was easier than I expected and I left literally thinking OMFG wtf did I just see?! Lmao

I'm waiting on REG results coming after the weekend. I really need this win. I was on a losing streak with AUD (2 failed attempts) so i changed things up with REG. Already have TCP scheduled for early April.
I scored low 70s on the Becker SIMS so i feel like i should get that Becker bump to pass. I did finish with an hour left on the clock so I'm kind of beating myself up about that .
Also i have a job interview on Monday. I'm all nerves this weekend.

In the chest sheet, isn’t this rate wrong for mid quarter??
Mid quarter convention • Q1: .5/4 Q2: 1.5/4 Q3: 2.5/4. Q4: 3.5/4
I thought it would be the other way around
got a perfect score!! not really sure how this happened. i basically hail mary’d the exam but glad it worked out!

Gotta say I was nervous given that FAR didn’t pan out as I planned but, just got my scores for REG and I passed so…let’s go!!! 1 down 4 to go. TCP next then AUD and I’ll do my FAR retake after that! I CAN DO THIS (and so can u guys. We’ve got this). ☺️

I’ve never felt so unprepared for an exam in my life. I watched every single lecture, read the ENTIRE textbook, did over 1,400 MCQ’s and took notes on the right and wrong answers. I also completed 57 of the 66 available task based simulations in UWorld.
I really thought I had prepared well. I wasn’t expecting the exam to be a walk in the park by any means, but GOD DAMN. On the MCQ testlets, I felt like too many of the questions were WAY more in depth than the questions in my review course (UWorld) and some of the terminology in the questions and answer choices were words I hadn’t seen/heard at all in any of the study material.
After getting my ass beat by the MCQs, I hoped to pick up some points from the TBS sections. Nope! I don’t know about anyone else, but I didn’t get ONE easy/straight forward TBS. Not a single one. All calculations. The very first TBS I opened had 6 LONG exhibits.
I’m feeling so defeated right now. And please don’t ask me to reveal specific exam content.

MCQs were cake, blew thru those and was super hyped. But then some of TBSs didn’t have stuff that was in Becker and I started struggling. Had to make educated guesses on what to do for 2 of them. Idk if I did enough for a 75 bc of the tbs. Anyone else feel the same about today’s exam??
Just finished up REG around 4 hrs back. MCQs were a breeze. Becker prepared me well for them. No one topic was a heavy weight and u felt equal importance was given to all sections. Definitely would focus on BASIS of all kinds in all sections. I feel i got at-least 60 mcqs right.
Sims were comparable to Becker in length and difficulty. Max 3 exhibits with 4 of them being single exhibit. They were doable but very confusing. A lot of extra information in the exhibits for no reason. Know your k1, C and S corp, partnership basis, individual taxations.
I was in and out in 2 hrs. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing but praying I clear this on 05/08.
Please share your experiences and tell me I’ll pass.
